Cirrus listened attentively, absorbing every word and emotion he offered her. She shared in his wry smile as he spoke of his mother and it softened greatly as he spoke of his sister. He reminded her much of her own brother. Protective. Strong. Deeply caring. Her cheeks colored a pale pink at his tender comment, likening her to his sister and welcomed the kiss. As his words faded in memory, so did her smile. So similar they were with the ghosts of their pasts haunting them, but still finding comfort and happiness with each other. If she were a believer of fate, she would have had to say their paths were destined to cross. She chewed on her lower lip as she waited for him to return from halls of memory. When he did, his eyes warmed greatly again. She could tell he loved and admired his father greatly.

"I would love that," she giggled lightly. She would love to meet the man who had raised such a beautiful soul. She reached up and placed her hand on the side of his face. Smiling brightly into his eyes, she leaned in and kissed him long and soft. When she pulled away she kissed him again lightly, and kept her face close to his. "What kind of bad crowds?" she asked, genuinely curious.

Kade looked at Cirrus and could not help but wonder what it was about her that made it so natural for him to talk. He never talked liked this, it was weird, and strangely relaeasing. She listened to his every word, and her reactions warmed him. He smiled against her lips and returned it; so soft and sweet.

"I'll warn you, Pop, he loves giving people a hard time." He said, his eyes twinkling at the memories. Her hand on his cheek and her words brought him back to memories he liked too much to avoid. "Bad Crowds?" He said it sardonically and for just a moment went distant once more. He had found 'friends' who understood his anger and encouraged it, not the best remedy but the one his young mind wanted; justificatoin for his anger. They also gave him an outlet for it. They had never really been friends at all.

"The kinds of crowds that got the attention of the local PD." He said with a short chuckle that held no mirth. He looked back at her, he needed to know how she was going to take this, and how much he could tell her with out scaring her. He didn't want to loose her. "They were the type of people that claimed to be doing it for the good of others." He shook his head at his youth's stupidity. "But most of them were just doing it for themselves."

He had told one girl about some of the stuff he had done, not even all of it. Back in Texas he thought she had been wonderful and she understood him, he had been wrong. She had slowly dissapeared from his life after that. Looking at Cirrus, he knew he didn't want that, he didn't want her to see him and see what he had done.

"We did some bad things Cirrus." He said trying to give her an idea of what it was trying to say with the sincerity and worry that chased over his face.

"After living with my brother for seventeen years, I think I can handle your Pop," she said brightly. She listened, a small frown of not understanding fully what he was trying to hint at furrowing her brow. At his final words, she shrugged.

"Haven't we all in one way or another?" she asked, her face and eyes dead serious. She understood that whatever he had done in his past was buried there. He had grown up since those days and was now able to see the actions for what they truly were now. She studied him for a moment, then smiled brightly again.

"When do you think your father will be coming for a visit?" she asked, twirling her fingers in his hair again.

Smiling at her, kind of crooked, but a smile none the less. Her words gave a small peice of him hope. She might understand, she might understnad that though he had done some things that were less than laudible, she might see that he wasn't that person any more. He hugged her close to him, completly happy to have her close to him, and knowing she wasn't gonna leave.

At her question he lifted one hand to look at his watch.

"Well Pop works 28 on 28 off, so..." He thought for a moment to the last time Pop had been off the rig and figured it up in his head. "So he should be off in about a week." Smiling brightly "You like steak?" He asked seemingly randomly.

Kade was glad that the mood in the gazebo had lightened, Cirrus didn't belong in shadows, hers or others.

"Steak? Didn't I tell you last time that I'll eat just about anything," she grinned. "Do you need me to find a place to go?" she asked, snuggling closer to him. Cirrus reveled in this new level of closeness she felt to Kade. She had never let anyone this close to her besides her brother, and in so many ways she was already closer to Kade.

"You know... this has been a strangely refreshing day," Cirrus giggled lightly. Sure ugly memories from their pasts had been dredged up to the surface, but his concern and comfort had been exactly what she needed from him. Something that might have eluded them and been danced around needlessly had been shoved out into the open, dealt with, and moved on from. "So... what's your favorite color?" she asked with a teasing grin, laughing inwardly at how backwards they insisted on doing everything.

"Good, and no your not finding the place, this is complelty on the Lowell Boys." He said grinning as he set one part of his mind to planning for some time with Pop and Cirrus. He tucked her head under his chin, content with her in his arms; bliss was a word that rarely came to mind, but if this was bliss, he could get used to it.

"Mmhm." He said in agreement. He closed his eyes listening to the rain and Cirrus's breathing. She was right, for all that they had both stirred up one and others past, it had felt good to talk to Cirrus about it; some one who wouldn't codemen him out right, it was more than a little refreshing. At her next question a chuckle escaped him, rumbling through his chest.

Leaning back he looked down at her and smiled brightly at her. "As of right now, my favorite color would have to be Silver Grey." He smoothed her hair away from her face, the look of her sitting there in his lap.

"Your beautiful." His thoughts escaped his lips in a soft whisper, and he smiled.

Cirrus liked the way his laughter sounded deep in his chest and it elicited another smile from her lips. When he leaned back, she turned her face to look up into his. She loved the smile he gave her and giggled lightly at his answer. At his soft, simple proclamation her heart skipped a beat. Twining her fingers in his hair firmly she pulled his head down to meet her lips in a slow, passion filled kiss. When she pulled away she took a deep breath.

"Thank you," she smiled, then pulled him down into another long kiss, finishing with a little nibble on his lower lip.

Her hands tangled in his hair her lips on his, Kade was oblivious to the world outside the gazebo. His hands pressed firmly on her back one slip up to press against her shoulder blades, bringing her closer to him. She pulled away and he let out an easy sigh, opening his eyes he had realized he had closed. Looking at her he smiled, a slow spreading of his lips that creased the corners of his eyes. He chuckled slighlty at the nibbling of the second kiss.

"No thanks needed Lady," He said as he reached a hand up to tweak her nose. "Its the truth." Smiling lightly, he just looked at her, her bright grey eyes, soft skin and hair, all of her. Abesetnly he took the blue lock of hair and twisted it around his finger slowly. "So what were you doing before I interupted your wandering?"

"I was just admiring the cherry blossoms and waiting for the rain, but mostly putting off studying," she smiled, watching him play with her hair. She looked out and smiled softly. "And it seems that I've missed it," she said, glancing up at him. Not that she really minded. She just wished it could have kept pouring so they wouldn't have an excuse to heed the call of other obligations.

Sighing slightly at her mention of studying, he sat back a bit. He didn't have much to do, but he did have a paper, and some other things to tend to. Glancing over his shoulder he noticed that the rain had finally slacked off and he mock glared at it before turning back to Cirrus with a smile.

"How bout this, I'll walk you back to the dorms, and we can go about our studying, and then we can meet up for dinner or something?" He gave a short soft kiss.

Cirrus thought about his offer for a minute, chewing on her lip. She wanted to, so bad. Sighing she looked back out at the offending disappearance of the rain.

"Sure..." she said, with uncertainty. She prayed that Kayne would not be in the room when she got back, so she'd be able to grab her things and disappear to the library. Otherwise, it would be next to impossible to worm her way out of dinner with her brother.

Her uncertainty played across her expressive face, and Kade noticed her drift off to other thoughts. Standing suddenly, with her still in his arms, he gave her a slight peck on the cheek.

"Its up to you Lady." He said before setting her on her feet. With their differential hieght accentuated with them standing once more, Kade smiled down at Cirrus. "Whatever you wanna do, thats what we'll do." He couldn't resist, he wrapped her in his arms once more and bent down with a slow soft kiss, all the warmth and beauty of the day reflecting in it.

Cirrus tightened her arms around Kade's neck as she was suddenly lifted up into the air. She smiled as he set her feet back to the ground, and kept her arms around him. His kiss melted away any uncertainty she felt. When he pulled away, she looked up at him with soft eyes.

"It's a date then," she smiled and kissed his lips lightly.

Smiling down at her after the kiss Kade just nodded, putting his arm around her waist, he lead them off towards the dorm, a more content Kade there couldn't be.
