Oh my. My first big project, and I get assigned as an Observer already. I don't think I'm ready for this...I just graduated, and just barely at that.
...
See? I can't even keep things professional! I'm supposed to be talking about #21, and here I am rambling on about my own insecurities.
Er, anyway. I'll start with my first impression of the boy experiment. He's very quiet, that's certain. Enjoys playing by himself, though that could be because he hasn't yet interacted with anyone other than the Matrons; not since he was a baby. He likes the frog he was given for ascending to the Toddler level of skill, but again, it is his only toy as of yet.
The Matron's report say that he was a quiet infant as well. According to their observations, he hardly every cried at first, and it wasn't until he seemed to realize it was his only way to get attention did he start screaming. Er, really screaming, apparently. The report describes rather eloquently, but I don't think it's something I should quote here.
Anyway, as a toddler, nothing seems to have changed, though he at least tries what few words he knows before screaming for what he wants. Very soon, when he finishes up his first set of language lessons, he'll be given a journal of his own. Perhaps this will give me some more insight. I'll also consider setting up some playdates with some of the other new Toddlers. I'd like to see how he interacts with others his own age.
