thelovelyLIZ baka-baka I just downloaded it (NYTW) the other day, and listened to the whole thing. You know, I actually enjoyed it. Yeah, the sound quality was kinda crappy, and a few other things, but (and maybe this is just me) when I like something, I like to be familiar with it in it's original form. Like, if I like an anime that was originally a manga, I like to make it a priority to read the manga... I dunno, maybe it's an obsessive fan thing.. I'm weird. sweatdrop But yeah, I didn't really think the singers were that crappy. I thought they were all pretty okay. I actually really liked Roger's voice, but I didn't like how he sung certain things. He was kinda mumbly and slow... like he's stoned, I guess, but he had a nice voice, I thought. Collins sounded pretty good too, only it was weird 'cause he was kinda rocker-sounding, and not very Jesse L. Martinish. But oh well. I liked hearing all the songs that aren't in it now though. But I have to admit, Real Estate was ... quite a song. I don't think there's anything else anywhere in all of Rent that sounds like that. Horribly funny though. And I liked Mark in this one too. He made me wiggle with happiness at his lonely, geeky, deserateness. 3nodding I was about to make a comment about Real Estate.... because man, that song just deserves to be commented on. It's like... all this great music and out of no where comes Benny the evil real estate clown. Like... I seriously thought I was trapped in some twisted mix of RENT and a circus. I could kinda picture him in my mind... looking like an evil clown trying to coax Mark to join him on the dark side of real estate.... But maybe I'm crazy XD In any case, I laughed very, veyr hard when I heard that song. Probably my fave. just because it's so outragous. And I'm the same way with the original format thing =D And I'm glad I'm not the only one who caught the Female to Female reference... I felt so nerdy when I did... but then again... I was listening to the RENT NYTW so I should ahve already felt nerdy. Oh, to be a theatre nut. Awesome sig, btw. Haha! That's true! I can see that now... it being all circusy and stuff... oh man... XD Wh00t for original format obsessors! 3nodding And thanks! You a Yugioh fan? sweatdrop

I love the NYTW version. Anthony Rapp sounds a lot better, I love You'll Get Over it and Real Estate and the original version of Rent (Splatter.)

`Ducky YAY im not the only one who thought Benny sounded like a clown! I totally agree with that. Real Estate cracked me up the first time I heard it. I love the part about monopoly.

Right Brain is the one song I refuse to listen to because it really, really makes me ears bleed xD I'm listening to real Estate xD "I'm in love with a lesbo..." Aww, poor Mark :3 Side thought: Benny sounds like he's out of a Doctor Suess book in this song.

I was listening to it with my aunt who also likes RENT, and he started singing and we both burst out laughing. It was so funny!!
I love that song.
My friends are afraid to hear it, though.
I guess they have reason, though..
