It has been at least 10 years since i played FFVI...i `m 13 and i wanna play it really badly but i`m stuck on the part where Sabin comes to kick a** i know what the blitz is but it doesnt work i should probly just throw out that glitched piece of junk(not the game itself the disk)

in the SNES version it is odd because at the time he can use 2 moves, aura bolt and pummel, and what you wanna use is pummel, on the SNES version it's just tward, away, tward. dunno what it is on the psx tho. i'd suggest getting an SNES emulator, and playing it on that.

Actually don't his blitzes depend on his level? I know his level depends on yours. In more recent years I would get him at a high enuogh level that he would have fire dance. Heh, I remember the first time I played through I didn't even know he had more blitzes. I called one of those oldschool nintendo help lines to ask how to beat ultros and they suggested using sabins fire dance, and I'm like what's that? When the guy told me that sabin had a bunch of moves to use, I think I started bouncing off the walls with excitment at the new possibilities.

I think the first fight with Ultros is the most difficult fight in the game. Actually I take that back, the Bracheorsaur sp? fight is the hardest as long as you don't cheat. AKA using the Vanishing/Dooom trick.

Teran I think the first fight with Ultros is the most difficult fight in the game. Actually I take that back, the Bracheorsaur sp? fight is the hardest as long as you don't cheat. AKA using the Vanishing/Dooom trick. i agree, the first ultros fight is a b***h to deal with >.> it actually tempts me to do the whole power level trick in the lete river

AKA using the Vanishing/Dooom trick. i agree, the first ultros fight is a b***h to deal with >.> it actually tempts me to do the whole power level trick in the lete river I don't really find that fight that hard. Ultros has kinda high HP, and one strong attack that he may use like twice (Tentacle), but as long as you keep using Fire with Terra, Health with Banon, Aurobolt with Sabin, and either autocrossbow or just attacking with Edgar, you should be fine. Have Terra cure whomever gets hit by Tentacle. Usually my HP are high enough to survive that attack.

The nintendo version came out in 96, so I'd buy nine years ago at the most. ^_^
Anyway, Ultros wasn't a big deal for me, it was those STUPID Dream Stooges. I beat them after much hair pulling and anguished screaming totaling about a year. I'm STILL bitter about it, too. That stupid Triad zapping thing they always did kicked my butt every time.
Come to think of it.... How did I beat them? eek

i played on my brothers copy when i was about that age. ya i couldnt beat him for awhile. and i was using an em' that part f'ed with my head a lot.

when i first played to took me, like, FOREVER to figure out that you have to put in the command while the hand is pointing at Sabin. I was trying to do it while he was actually doing the tech. wich failed each time. but then i found out when you're suposed to do it, and that solved that. 3nodding

I think I got that tech right after a few times. I took alot of abuse from Vargas before I figured it out though. I think Ultros gave me a beating the first time I played, but the second time I had mastered the blitz tech's and he was gravy. I love aura bolt. "Hadoken!"
