KilledbyKarma "They laugh at me because I'm different. I laugh at THEM because they're stupid." No clue who said it... I heard something similar to that, I think it went, "You laugh at me because im different, I laugh at you because your all the same." Thats the version that I heard.

Just as yellow leaves may be gold coins to stop crying children, thus, the so-called secret moves and contorted postures appease the unknowledgeable martial artists. -Bruce Lee
Art is an expression of life that trancends both time and space. We must employ our own souls through art to give a new form and a new meaning to nature or the world. -Bruce Lee

Im Nick I am become a transparent eyeball. -Ralph Waldo Emerson (yes I know this is taken way out of contexts blaugh )Society everywere is in conspiracy against everyone of its members -Ralph Waldo Emerson Imitation is suicide -Ralph Waldo Emerson Ah, so I see we have a transcendentalist among us. "Self-Reliance" is one of my favorite essays, and actually you misquoted there. Emerson writes, "Society everywhere is in conspiracy against the manhood of every one of its members." I like that quote, too. Also, "a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds..." and "Whoso would be a man must be a nonconformist. He who would gather immortal palms must not be hindered by the name of goodness, but must explore if it be goodness. Nothing is at last sacred but the integrity of your own mind. Absolve you to yourself, and you shall have the suffrage of the world." But yes, Emerson, while a little too...trancendentalist for my liking, had some damn good beliefs and ideas.

LoBo_23 "Fear not the man who practices a thousand moves one time, fear the man who practices one move a thousand times" - Weebl And Bob Actually, that's a traditional Shaolin saying. Still cool, of course. "If you do not value what you own, then you own nothing of value." - Me (unexpectedly succinct) "In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded." - Terry Pratchett (I forget which book) Lord Havelock Vetinari: "Along with these freedoms I believe in the freedom to take the consequences. Indeed, it is the freedom upon which all others are based." - Terry Pratchett, Going Postal

Astarael Storm Arcaenia Douglas Adams: "In the beginning the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move." the first quote was off the movie Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy Book as well, love. I believe that was the first sentence in it. That's how I knew I had found something worth reading. Oh yeah, bonus points to anyone who acts as a brain for me and tells me where the heck I got this one. I read it somewhere and regrettably can no longer recall where: "You can't reason with an unreasonable person. Wasn't that the point?"

This is from a Simpsons episode, where the aliens Kang and Kodos pose as Bill Clinton and Bob Dole, during the campaign. Kang (Clinton) is making a speech. Kang: "Abortions for all!" Crowd: "BOOOOOO!" Kang: "Okay then.... No abortions for anyone!" Crowd: "BOOOOOO!" Kang: "Very well... Abortions for some, miniature American flags for others!" Crowd: "YAAAAAAY!"
