I really can't think of a practical use for this card other then combo-ing. I mean, his first effect costs 2 mana and is way too situational, and his second effect just seems useless to me (Unless if you combo-ed it with angel feather maybe?). He's a rare, so he has to have some use, but what? EDIT: It just hit me like a ton of bricks. Too expensive to be practical, though...

I attack with my 3/3 none trample black creature. You give your creature protection from white then make my creature white? That sounds pretty useful to me. Then if I try to zap a creature with something give it protection and make the spell white...
Also it's a nice card for a blue deck, there is a card "Counter target spell if it shares a color with a perminant you control".

Very heavy on mana tapping, though, and would force the player to stay defensive for a long while. A smart player might decide to flood the board with creatures when they see this guy out.
Though, if you had him and Pious Kitsune both out and played the waiting game... Life would just flood in.

Pretty good.
1.) Make an opponent's attacker white. 2.) Declare blocker, and before combat damage goes off, give your blocker pro-white. 3.) Laugh your arse off! mrgreen

this guy can protect your permanents from almost anything except from a mass removal spell like wrath, and it can help u get creatures across, plus its a 2/2 for WW, or if u have any extra mana floating around, u can protect yourself from mana burn, its a pretty good card in my opinion

He is a great card, but easy to kill if you don't have two or three mana open

best thing to do in my opinion is to put him in a white cleric deck baised on life gain with the out-wait strategymeaning use him, pious kitsune, and the cleric almostunlimited life combo makes the game long, boring and frustrating as hell for you opponent but hard to beat

I use him with several Pious Kitsunes, and I eventually gain over 30 life a turn. Also, use 8 1/2 Tails to make a creature white, kill it with western paladin
