It is a shrine where all Japanese dead soldiers are enshrined. Among the dead that are enshrined, are 14 class A (Hitler would have been class A if he were tried) war criminals

The issue is that the Japanese Prime minister, Junichiro Koizumi, visits the shrine, sparking off protest everytime. Foreign Minister Aso Taro also visits. As well as Abe, the guy who's expected to be the next Prime minister after Koizumi retires.

Korea is pissed at Japan for the visits.

assuming that the next one is Abe, then yes. apparently, Hirohito never visited Yasukuni after WW2 or after the class A's were put in
