I also agree with that, there out there to spread knowledge, love, and insight to the world. Unlike some other guilds who claim to do that ::cough:: Pagan Fluffy Rehab Guild ::cough:: Who say there only there to educate you, but when in reality if your wrong about something they batter you till your blue in the face. Their main objective seems to be to argue/debate to make themselves seeem superior. Rather than to share their insight and knowledge to help people, as it should be.
But yes, I also give my Kudos to the knowledgable practitioners of this Guild. ::bows head in respectrful thanks:: we could use more people like you!
Much Love ~Asha

Yeah, FPRC didn't used to be as it is now... it's too bad it has taken the turn it has. I tried to bring the issue to their attention a long time ago but for the most part it seems I wasn't heard. I wouldn't say the problem lies in the Guild itself, but just a few individuals who tend to be a bit more heavy-handed in their opinions than they should be. Having strong opinions can be admirable, but its bad when the passion becomes enflammatory and gets in the way of the informitiveness.

agrees with the above post: I read a essay once that was talking about fluffy bunny pagans that I tought was wonderful. It said that there are two types of fluffy bunnies. The typical once you see, the "you guys are guys burned me and I am going to cast evil spells on you", and the kind that think they know everything and put others down who dont know as much. I think the worse kind of fluffs are the second... Mind you I dont like the term fluffs. I have to addmit if a person ketches me at the wrong time, then I can be a little cold, but I don't try to put people down who are generally interested and want to learn.

I've always really disliked the term "fluffy bunny."
Somtimes it refers to a Pagan who is all "light and rainbows" .. i.e, one who only speaks and thinks positively, sometimes annoying other Pagans who tend to revel in morbidity and 'darkness'.
In this case it's stupid as well, because what's so bad about trying to be positive? xD
The other use of the word, which is kind of related to "n00b" makes me just want to gag. I'd say 99% of so-called Fluffy Bunnies are just people new to the craft, who have a lot to learn. I think there are really not that many people casting evil spells around and proclaiming themselves to be High Priestess of the Entire Universe. xD Or at least, I've never really come across people like that (at least in real life).
It's almost as if the "wiser" and "older" members of the Craft (who use the term F.B and throw it in peoples faces like mud) actually resent the incoming flux of new Pagans. Sometimes it sounds like they want the whole religion to themselves! What's the best way to deter newcomers? Call them names, tell them they're stupid Fluffy Bunnies who don't know a thing, and if asked, refuse to tell them a thing because in the end they don't know anything themselves. Except how to come up with more insults, maybe. This is pretty much all I ever see in the Pagan Fluffy Rehab Guild.
This is one reason I wouldn't call myself Wiccan. It's become so embroiled in "Fluffy Bunny" business that I prefer just focus on my Eastern heritage, Hinduism. sweatdrop
Sorry if I came off sounding trite - it's just that the PFRG really riles me up sometimes with it's overwhelming bigotry. xD

Yah, 'fluffy bunny' reeks of a hate word to me that has the equivalency of calling a black person a '******' or using the word 'gay' as an insult. Especially when it is defined as 'wilful ignorance' - in that case it becomes an excuse to foster elitist attitudes of 'my opinion is right and if you deny my opinion you're willfully ignorant as my position is most righteous!!' We're all guilty of that sort of thing at one point or another, but I haven't seen it so widespread in quite some time.
The people using the term 'fluffy bunny' however aren't neccesarily the older and wiser, or at least that's been my observation. Most of the people who throw it around here on Gaia are truly not that old... perhaps barely older than myself, a recent college graduate, and mostly younger. The elders I've heard voices from tend to be a bit kinder, though not always.

Out of idle curiousity, what is the correct meaning for the term "Fluffy Bunny"? Or is it something like "Newb" that's gonna have negative connotations no matter how much you try to explain it?

Galdrea Out of idle curiousity, what is the correct meaning for the term "Fluffy Bunny"? Or is it something like "Newb" that's gonna have negative connotations no matter how much you try to explain it? There really isn't any standard terminology for what "fluffy bunny" means; different people will give you differnet answers. The original common consensus, however, was someone who took the Neopagan path to be all "butterflies and light" while ignoring the darker aspects of it. Since then it has shifted to encompass people who follow Silver Ravenwolf, to those who as teens adopt Wicca as a fad to shock their parents or rebel.
