I've replaying FFX to get and i heared about an optional boss called Penance. Does anyone know anything about what it is and where you fight it?

i know this one. Peanance is this fiend that appears from the gorge once you have killed all the dark aeons. It has two parts arms and body, all 3 absorb both elements and holy plus ultima only does half damage. Meant to be a nasty little bugger

It's supposed to be the "Dark Form" of a final aeon. Personally I've got a long way to go before beating the Dark Aeons but I'd like to see this guy.
Apparently "Break HP Limit" is a must when fighting him

Pierre42 It's supposed to be the "Dark Form" of a final aeon. Personally I've got a long way to go before beating the Dark Aeons but I'd like to see this guy. Apparently "Break HP Limit" is a must when fighting him it's a must for all aeons plus auto phoenix and auto haste. i wasn't able to kill most the dark aeons onlt valefore and ixion (both times) 50,000 per attack just wasn't enough for the stronger ones

My friend's playing the game and he's keeping Dark Yojimbo alive purely because he drops 4-slot Break Hp limit, Ribbon armour

It's too hard to customize onto armour (something like 60 dark matter) so he's just going to beat up Yojimbo until he gets his armour right
