Tsakkun 2. If you can't do number one, or at least try your best, screw it up to all hell. (Look at man-Faye, he got his own show =o ) Actually, the first time he did it on a dare.

I'm going to be cosing as Etna from Disgaea and her skirt is short as all get so I'm makeing the skirt a little longet than hers and wearing black boy shorts underneath so my bum isn't hanging out if i do a crazy flip or something.
i think altering for modesty is fine... I actually found a female version of a Sora (Kingdom Hearts) costume and instead of having her chest just hang out like on him, she came up with a creative little tube top that matched the rest of the costume. Besides: Not everyone is built like the people they want to cos... and not everyone is nearly as comfortable about running around with their boobs and all but a strips worth of their butt hanging out...

not to be mean but it defiently depends on body type and wether you can pull it off or not without. i usually just do it the way its meant to and get comfortable with it cause there are plenty of girls in more exposing costumes. plus if you act confident about it everyones going to be in awe of how accurate your costume is and how well you pull it off
it depends on the case and costume alot.

The recent cosplay that I've chosen has a skirt that's very high- cut, in the front. And the blouse proves to be extremely boob- tastic, to say the least. ^^; So yeah, modest alterations are being made, for this creative endeavor.
I've decided on a pair of flesh- colored panties, a slightly- lowered hem line, as well as a sewn- in brassiere. It's not as if I don't have the body for this character, but even I have my boundaries.
