If I were in that situation, I'd probably either do two things, smart or stupid:
The smart way would be to squeak out my fear, breathe heavily, for gosh sakes, I watched someone get murdered, my eyes would be too big for my face, and I'd be shaking, shaking, starting an earthquake. And when Gaara walks past me, my eyes roll up into my head and I collapse...Or do I?
Stupid me would start screaming like Spiongebob in that one episode, though I dpoubt you know what I'm talking about. I'd probably be in Naruto's position and start flailing my arms around and stuttering, "OMFG YOU KILLED THEM OMG YOU FRICKING MONSTER YOU-" And that would be the end of me. Shika would run off scared as hell, or just stay still, unconcious.

well, i acknowleged that gaara enjoys killin ever since he first appeared, so it didn't really surprise me............

I'd probalby make a "yeach" face at all the blood and then hold very very still when he walks by me.

I would be scared stiff, so I'm not sure if I would be able to do anything at all. Maybe I would try to mumble 'hello' or something, just to be polite...overall, I'd probably do anything I thought would save me at the time.
