So this was our order to fasten our seatbelts for the bumpy ride ahead, yeah? The deep breath before the plunge. It was a bit slow, but jam packed with central mystery info! Also, Wallace and Logan had scenes together! Wallace is a sweetie!
Don't you just hate it when someone tells you not to help, so you don't, and then they're like, "So-and-so didn't help!" b***h. Bet d**k does.
Weird. Now we have YET ANOTHER SUSPECT.

Such an awesome episode. Best so far, I'm willing to say. The best thing this episode accomplished for me? I now care about the people who died on the bus (well, not so much Betina or that other chick, with the phone). Cervando, Peter, and Marcos may have all been just figments of V's imagination, but I'd like to believe they were like that.
That was my only real problem with the season so far - aside from Meg (who I don't count as one of the bus victims, since she lived for a while after that), I didn't really feel for any of the people who died in the A plot. Sure, I cared about Felix, but that was the B plot. Now I DO care about the kids who died in the crash, so I'm far more invested in the plot.

Ah, the day after. There was some really chilling stuff in this episode, actually. Veronica's half-sleep writing of I AM GOD on the chalkboard. Though, what teacher would let her do that?? And then Cervando telling Veronica that he was lucky enough to drown? Oh, man, that was freaky. And even though that's just Veronica making that up, you KNOW it had to happen to someone. Brr. Glad that the dead weren't really talking to Veronica and that it was just dream/subconcious working through the problem. I think Veronica is thinking like us, that she hasn't been involved enough with this case and now it's getting to her. Far as I can tell, Rhonda really did nothing wrong. She was just a normal girl. Well, not quite normal, but who is. Or was she the one who found the finger in her riblet? I should have paid more attention, but I was too busy laughing at Veronica getting grossed out. Bettina was having sex with d**k to get pregnant, right? So does Sally have something to do with that? Not even Bettina specifically, but just d**k's quest to 'ride bareback?' Sally is either the girl, or his daughter, which to me seem like likely secrets for d**k. It's big, but it's not complicated. Oh, yeah, and I totally want an I heart d**k Casablancas T-shirt.

Or that could just be a convienent excuse for a payoff for something else (my bet). TheTsunuffy Bettina was having sex with d**k to get pregnant, right? So does Sally have something to do with that? I like the idea that d**k has a daughter, and that Cassidy was either threatening her (doubtful) or threatening to reveal to everyone else that she exists (more likely). Hm... And I want that shirt too. *g*

for some reason I think this episode brought out more questions than they did answers. were any of the questions raised by the dead students even answered during the episode?

Spyke Darkwing for some reason I think this episode brought out more questions than they did answers. were any of the questions raised by the dead students even answered during the episode? Well, Meg DID ask if Veronica read her emails, which, yes, yes she did. So there's that. But mostly, no. I think it was less raising new questions and more setting us onto the questions they want us to consider.

I really liked this episode, a creative way to refresh us on one of the main mysteries, while presenting us with new information.
I agree with whoever said the finger was probably a coverup for a payoff regarding rhonda's death.
What about Wood-Good's tape?? him wanting it back implied he saw how it was incriminating, so is it related to the bus maybe?

I liked it, definatley a creative take and different, but it felt too expositiony and like it was comming too late in the season. One thing that's been bugging me this season is the pacing of the mysteries and Veronica's lack of action and caring.
We should have learned about the kids earlier sprinkled around. We should have seened Veronica doing all this investigation not just her telling us. It was nice we were finally seeing it but it was bittersweet because it showed what was wrong with earlier in the season.
I feel like NITW should have scrapped the MOTW and focused on the summer drama and the kids on the bus and then Meg should have died and have the whole soapy Duncanbaby plot scrapped for room for little bits of the investigation. I want Veronica driven. I'm glad we're finally getting into it though, because as much as I love Keith, I want Veronica to solve the mystery.
I still have loved this season despite some things that bug me about, I still enjoyed the episode and I'm optimistic that the rest of the episodes will continue to blow me away and I think from now on we will see from Veronica what we should have seen.
Of course there's going to be a lot crammed in and while the episodes will be good I think there'll have to be some clunky exposition still thrown in. No mystery will ever be able to have the impact of the Lilly mystery so I think the 3 mystery arc idea they have for season 3 may be what they have to do so the pacing works for a happy medium.
Focusing back on this episode, I really did love the idea of using Veronica's subconcious to illustrate her guilt over not investigating and showing her proccessing the information. It was such a nice way to reconnect with her and establish what we need to know in a creative not overdone way. Plus MEG! I miss her.
Keith finding Veronica in the closet! Hee! I loved their faces and just everything.
Mr. Wu has always rocked, I was glad to get a lot of him.
d**k, the guy you want to be disgusted by but he's just too funny. (It's not me, it's Wu) Although I think his skeevy side will be comming back soon, have to remember that this is the guy that set Veronica up to raped by the Beaver
Speaking of Beaver, I'm suspecting he's been sexually abused. It was interesting to see how he believes his life consists of aways being abused for other people's actions. I'm also starting to think his potential evil is comming out more and is not as far fetched as I thought...
So I guess Logan and Wallace being in the same scene together doesn't mean the world will explode? Silly Wallace though, Logan didn't talk to you when he was bashing Veronica's headlights either. It was really nice to finally see them together. It's also interesting how Wallace understood Logan better than his oblivious best friend d**k.
One thing I also have missed this season is Victor Hammer season 1's cinematographer. I think some scenes have looked a little grittier and it was really bad with the real life flashbacks. I didn't mind the watery look in the dreams because it helped make the dreams more... dreamier but the flashbacks looked awful with it when last season they looked beautiful. This episode made it look like Keith's face was melting.
That's all I can think of now.
