zeke glared at maci trying to ignore how close she was. he rolled his eyes at her knowing full well it would push her farther. the problem was he didn't care very much anymore, he was too set in winning this battle.
'what's there to handle? your small little self?'
zeke laughed as he pushed her off him.
'i doubt.'
zeke started strolling away slowly.

Maci could not believe her ears. He had actually called her small! As he strolled passed her a low growl escaped her throat and she pounced on him again. As they fell to the floor she twisted his arm behind his back and pushed his cheek into the floor
"Eat carpet. Firstly I'm not small, Secondly I'm taking you to that dance and you're going to like it. Got it cupcake?" she didn't leave much room for wiggle, literally or figuratively.
She kept herself straddled on his back, and hoping he didn't fight it any more, she had nothing past rough housing on him.

zeke grunted loudly as his face hit the floor. he had a passing thought about how dirty it must be and when the last time it was cleaned was. maybe he should offer to clean the floors, might get him some brownie points with the teachers. it took zeke a couple seconds to realize he hadn't answered maci.
'fine, i'll go to the dance with you maci. but you are small.'
zeke grinned and tried to push her off him.
'and you'll enjoy it more than me, honeypop.'

Maci smacked the back of his head. "I am NOT small." she said, in a final tone so he knew there was no arguing. "And never call me honeypop again, or I'll pop you a new one"
"Now tell me again that I'm small. I dare you" She twisted his arm a bit more and smiled behind his head
Messing his hair up she let him go and stood, off to the side, so he wouldn't try anything tricky this time. "Honeypop my a**" she grumbled, still not liking the name he had chosen out for her."

zeke stood up and brushed himself off. he rubbed his head as he slowly turned around to look at maci. he brushed his fingers through his hair sucking on his tongue and looking maci over trying to judge her attitude. satisfied he sucked in a deep breath and began speaking.
'ok honeypop, if you aren't small why did you need to pin me on the floor so you could talk to me?'

Maci growled in the direction of the boy then turned away from him, waving her hand nonchalantly. "I didn't need to pin you on the floor, But your head is as thick as a block of cement. The only way to get information in or out of you is to pound it out.
Pushing her hand through her hair, her fingers twirled around the ends and she leaned on a chair. "If your so sure of yourself how come you had to get me to ask you instead of you asking me?" she raised her brow, giving him a look that meant she wasn't as clueless as he had expected.
"So..." glancing along the walls of the auditorium. "What do you wanna do? I say we hang out behind the stage" she shrugged "unless of course your scared of the deep dark space behind the curtains." She was used to mildly flirting with Zeke, not like it meant anything, except it slightly did mean something to her, though she would never admit it

zeke shoved his hands into his pockets. he was unamused with maci's retort and he yawned boredly.
'i don't have to go with you to the dance you know. i can just stay in my dorm all night. not like you'd be much fun anyway, you're just a tease.'
zeke watched the curtains sucking on his bottom lip for a moment before adding;
'besides, how are you going to say i'm afraid of the dark when i was standing there for an hour before you and your friend came along?'
zeke grinned to himself, he was sure he had her this time.

Maci poked out her tongue at him. "You'd never know you never take me up on my offers. I said I'm taking you and your going. Besides the dance has one thing your dorm doesn't" she walked up to him and ran a hand along his shoulders as she rounded him and casually glanced up at his eyes. "Me"
Taking him by the arm she started pulling him to the curtains. "Well then if you aren't scared you have nothing against following me"
When she had him behind the curtain she started walking along the back, and when she ran into a box she cursed before rubbing her shin. "Well if some evil creature doesn't get me the box sure did." When she had him passed the boxes she stopped and pushed him so his back was against the wall. "Tell me you don't like it back here" one couldn't see it but her mouth was curved into a playful smile, sparkling eyes locked in the brief outline of his.
