There is an anti inflationist petition going around, and I've recently found it.
I see some of our members have already signed it, like [The.End] and others, so I'd like everyone to sign if they can.

This isn't anti-inflation, but an anti-inflationist petition as far as I can tell.
I can't really judge it potential, but I think it would be a good idea to sign anyway. ^^ Thanks!

We can hope! I mean it's got nearly 500 signatures already! If enough people sign maybe the admins will listen!

Unfortunately I can not really sign that.
As much as I am trying to fight inflation and all that, I can't sign that. People are in their legal right to be able to do whatever the hell they wish in that sense. However! If it can be proven that a pro inflation guild is doing price gouging and in a sense scamming others and they do that petition in that angle, that would be for the best.

At this time due to the way things are set-up all that will do is place me on a list. I tend to like remaining low after all. ninja

I do intend to remain doing what I have been doing any how regardless of any petition. Gaia unfortunately is not an electorate body hence it is hard to control such a thing. Education campaign has always been my deal. Why else do I ask people to actually talk and think in my threads rather than just pay.

I pm'd one of my mod friends, and they pm'd me back with an example, here.




So going by that example, we're not going to get much help from the mods. We have to do this ourselves.

I think I signed it, and lots of other people signed it, because they hope that something can be done about it.
But maybe the petition could come in handy one day.

But from what Keakealani also told me, the mods really dislike this inflation because it is making people leave the site and, like all of us have witnessed, it's turned gaia into less of a fun place- especially The Exchange.
She said that she and other mods were keeping a special eye on the mods of price-jacking guilds and inflationist who have made a lot of noise. So that if they were doing anything slightly against the ToS, that the mods would know about it.
Of course we can't be altogether sure that they would be caught, but it makes me feel better that these people are being watched, and that mods really dislike inflation.
I think as far as heart and ideals go, the mods are on our side.
But ideals aren't really helpful, unless put into effect.
But that's why we're here, ne?

People can see what you type here even if you were not a member.
There are three levels of a guild.
Public, Private and Hidden. This one is Private which allows a person to view the guild and forum but not post in to it.

I still can not sign this petition due to reasons prior stated. Still, I am glad to hear that mods are looking at these individuals closer.
