NPCs/Areas/Contestants


Here we have a list of all the NPCs available for battle, the areas in which the battles will take place, and a list of the contestants!

NPCs: Will have a picture, along with info about their powers, abilities, and weapons. Their weaknesses are also listed. Along with this there is a new stat to view. Killing intent. How agressive are the NPCs?

Green: They'd rather tire you out, knock you out, or disarm you to win a fight. Killing would never cross their mind.
Yellow:(X3 yeah, I know yellow is in orange, but yellow's hard to read) They'd be more than happy to knock you out. willing to disable you, even if it means breaking lots of limbs or cracking skulls. They want to bruise you up and beat you to a pulp, but no killing.
Red:Well... it's kill or be killed. These battles will be the bloodiest, most violent battles. Opponents that are red are willing to fight to the death.*

Areas: Each area will be described. A quick sketch will also be included to show scale and help support the description. Visuals are fun!

NPC Opponents

Each NPC can be challanged twice but no more after that. It will be a first come first serve situation so if the NPC you wish to fight has already been taken twice then please choose another. The only other way that you can get the 1st NPC of your choice is if the contestant before you agrees to switch.

After each battle the NPC will be refreshed and have no recollection of the previous battle.

Abilities- With the aide of her suite she can jump as high as 2 stories. Her H2H combat skills mainly focuses on using the fists.

Strengths-Suit is resistant to elemental attacks, no fall damage from high hieghts, highly evasive.
Weaknesses-Sinks in water. Really lazy so she tends to take the easy way out, which can be the most dangerous sometimes. Her lazy ways also make it so that she has low health points.

Strengths-depends on the moves she copies
Weaknesses- depends on the moves she will be unable to copy pact summonings. Also she can copy the same special move and have the same impact but have little control over them and also can only do variations on the special moves if she has seen them.

Powers-Super speed, along with the ability to raise her awareness to the point where everything seems to be in slow motion.

Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strengths- Highly Evasive and super speedy. High attack rate. Almost instantanious reaction time when awareness is hightened.
Weaknesses- Doesn't do much damage and very low defense. Gets hungry rather quickly when using powers for long periods of time.

Powers-Manipulation of minerals that can be found in the ground and decomposing matter and using them to manipulate the growth speed and pattern in plant life.
Abilities- Good wrist dexterity for defensive staff combat skills and fighting with either single or double whips.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strengths-When using his own seeds the manipulation process is almost instant (especially vine types)
Weaknesses-takes a bit more time to manipulate plants that are not from his seed collection, especially when it's an older plant. Parasitic plants takes even more concentration so he's less focused on his opponents.

~*Areas*~
Since contestants are able to choose who they wish to be their opponent NPC's will be choosing the place, time, and weather.



Forest Clearing: A small mossy clearing in the Forest of Beginnings. The circular clearning is surrounded by dense trees and is complimented by a large open sky.

Ocean Platform: A platform floating on the ocean waters with no land in sight. Platform may become slippery from ocean waters. Although on the sea, the platform is so large that it won't tip over unless there's a strong storm with very rough waves.

Floating Island: A island floating in the sky. A large pool of water on a rock hovering above the island provides a waterfall. Where the water comes from and where it goes after landing in the lake is unknown. The parimitar of the floating island is lined with towering, and rather sharp pointy, rocks. Bits an pieces of the island float about the outside and above the island. Thick roots still hang out of the bottom, where it looks like the land mass was ripped from the earth.
Battles are not allowed to go down to the ground below the floating isle. If a character can't get back up, they lose.

Active Volcano:A platform suspended over the mouth of an active volcano.* The platform is made of a grill that allows the heat and smoke to rise from the volcano.

Swamp Marshy:A rather swampy area. Filled with rotting trees and gunky green stuffs. Sterdy solid ground is hard to find. Pools of quicksand type natrual traps can be potiential hazards, dispite they are normally only waist deep for the average adventerer. Normally foggy, the place reeks of rot and degrading stuffs. Not a fun place.

Ancient Ruins:

Colosseum:Looks remarkably like the Roman colosseum.

Cemetary/Graveyard:An expansive grave yard. Lots of tomb type buildings and a few shady trees here and there. Encompassed by a pointy ended crooked fence, characters can't go beyond the Cemetary's parimeter.

Breaking Glacier:
On top of a large floating glacier with pieces claving, breaking off. The surface is slippery and mostly smooth except for some cracks and crevices.

Lucky's Cave :
Deep within a cave is a platform that is held over stalagmite formations and running water. It has a large concaved ceiling with stalactites hanging from the ceiling that drip water down. The cave is very reverberant making even the smallest sound echo.

Sewers: Sewers under the hits school. ( biggrin I modeled them after a blender and can't quite describe it. Picture coming soon.)

Her emotions are intricately linked with the weather nearby, which is one of the reasons she seems so calm: she has had to learn to control her emotions to avoid a catastrophe. She has learnt to develop, strengthen and control these powers to a fair extent over the past few years, although being quite an emotional person, they can still slip away from her. She has a more powerful pendant than the one she wore at HITS now, that doesn't absorb her power and let it off gradually into the surroudings, but stores much of it, so she has a back-up store of power to use when she gets tired.

Weapon: Longsword. It looks quite thin and small, and the silver part appears to float in mid air from afar; this is because the blade is made of diamond and the visible part is the magical core. Within about eight feet you can see the blade extent due to a glow emitting from it caused by the power of the core.

Powers/Abilities:
-Blade Beam: This can work like a whip or a blade, either lashing the target, wrapping around the target, or directly cutting the target. Either way, it acts like a whip made of light in all other cases.

-Explosion: Exactly what it says. Nick releases his power outwards, hurting him greatly, likely to the point of unconsciousness or near-death, but also hurting his opponent, and anything else unlucky enough to be in the way. This is an involuntary action resulting from anger only.

Abilitys: Mechanical skills(Analytical skills). CQC consists of throws, kicks and claw use (Self learned). "Anything goes" Mid-air combat (Uses nearby objects to gain hight.)

Character Name: Jones (Full name witheld)
Gender: Male
Age: N/A, at least a few hundred years old
Specie: Lich (previously Human, now Undead)
Threat Level: Green
Weapons: None
Powers: Jones is a Darkforce Mage, meaning he is a spellcaster specializing in a specific form of Black magic. His powers manifest as spells cast using Darkforce.
-Cloak- Jones' cloak (i.e. his 'body') is a permanent Darkforce spell that he uses to move and manipulate things with since he lacks a proper body. It can be dispelled, rendering him immobile until he can create a new one.
-Teleportation- Jones' essentially implodes upon himself in a puff of blackness. He is capable of teleporting anywhere within line of sight or to a location he is aware of/has already been to. He cannot teleport to places he cannot see or does not know where it is/what the layout is like. He can teleport himself and a certain level of mass extra (a few people, likely).
-Pocket Dimension- Jones' cloak acts as a magical storage space, permitting him to packrat an apparently endless supply of useless junk.
-Limbs- The lower portions of Jones' cloak are amorphous and stretchy, allowing him to create tendrils or limbs from the Darkforce mass.
-Hover- Jones doesn't have legs; the Cloak allows him to hover along any surface regardless of its density or gravity, meaning he can hover over water or up walls/ceilings. He cannot fly; a surface is mandatory to hover across.

Abilities: Jones relies entirely on his Darkforce Cloak for physical efforts, (except for some leisure activities). The Cloak is capable of manipulating up to 500 lbs. of weight at maximum effort. When hovering, Jones is capable of reaching up to 30 mph maximum.
As a Lich (undead), Jones is immune to most conventional forms of damage. There's just nothing there to hurt. He is immune to the elements/elemental powers (fire, electricity, and such) and poisons (no blood or muscles to poison). His bones (Skull and Hands) are magically hardened and essential indestructable (see Weaknesses for more info). Jones has no need of food, oxygen, or sleep.
Darkforce is not related to shadows. It is not an absence of light but is rather a negation of energy via Black Magic, therefore light spells have no negative effects on Jones.

Weaknesses: Jones' biggest weaknesses fall in the fact that he is both a Mage and a Lich. He needs time to cast his spells and will have wasted his effort if his concentration is broken. As an Undead, he is incredibly weak against Holy (White) Magic and Healing Spells, both of which hurt him. Likewise, any holy symbols (relegious symbols, holy water, and such) will hurt him.
On a more personal note, Jones is easily bored. Being very old, he's seen a lot and has simple pleasures that are borderline obsession for him; he enjoys reading, doing crossword puzzles, and has become addicted to soap operas. As such, he will put his leisure activities on a higher priority than anything else, meaning he could very well forfeit a battle if it risked him missing an episode or if he is no longer entertained by the situation.
Jones is very haughty in behavior; he's got a serious ego and never does anything unless he wants to, even if his intervention would save a lot of people a great deal of trouble.
Physically, Jones is immune to damage. His Darkforce Cloak will reform if cut or harmed in any other way and his bones are supernaturally durable, so they resist physical harm on an insane level. However, he is not immune to the result of physical impact, meaning if you hit him in the head with a baseball bat, he will react properly (likely his head'll be sent flying). Likewise if you tie him up, he will be immobilized (until he teleports, of course).
