Andrew frowned a bit at his companions obvious anger and resentment. He was already feeling very overprotective of this girl he hardly knew. "Hey, hey, hey there Arienh, don't worry. I'd die before i'd let that Mrithas guy get ahold of you. I know that you'll be able to help everyone once we get out."

He didn't even think before he said those words. Andrew made a commitment, but he would have made the same one even if he had thought about it. Turns out, he thought that Arienh was worth his life. Any person was worht his life..

Arienh didn't know whether or not to smile or frown. drew barely knew her, yet he'd vowed to protect her with his life. Something deep in the pit of her stomach clenched with an icy uneasiness. Dangerous words. There had been two others who'd uttered them and they was no more.

"Please Drew... I appreciate what you're trying to say, but don't."

Suddenly, she was very scared for her companion. And despite the autumn hair still being somewhat mild, her body shook uncontrolably. A fierce shivering that she couldn't seem to stop. Her horse tossed it's head at her as if to say, 'What's up? Easy back there...' causing her to check her hands. Sure enough they were trembling like two leaves that would be swept away by the wind.

She drew her cloak about her, masking her features within the hood's shadowy depths. They would be out of the forest soon and on open fields. At least here, they were hidden in the safety of the forest's maze. But out there... would there be search parties out? Likely. Her stomach did a little flip flop.

"From this point on, you are no longer the Princess of K'ivern to me anymore, Arienh. You have no right to tell me what to say and what not to say." Drew said with a grin. He knew that she was worried about him and that he had only just met her, but Drew just felt like he was drawn to her. It was fated. He was suppose to protect her. And if it meant that he had to die, then so be it. At least he fulfilled his own destiny.

"Are you cold? Or is it a foreboding kind of thing?" Drew asked as he saw her body trembling beside him. Maybe she was having some sort of anxiety attack. He didn't know. Riding up right next to her, he reached a hand out and placed it on her shoulder. "Don't worry, Arienh. We'll be okay."

She managed a smile for him and even laughed at his mocking of her forgone position. He seemed so confident and sure. She didn't know if it was a luxury granted to the ignorantly oblivious, or if he was always like this even when things got bad. Maybe it was his way of coping with the unknown? Either way, his hand on her shoulder startled her slightly, causing her to jump and her horse to shift his weight uneasily.

"I guess you're right, heh. And no, I'm fine thank you... it's a forboding thing..."

Okay, that was kind of funny, she couldn't help but giggle a little in earnest now. The trees were thinking, and the footing wasn't so hazardous for the horses now.

"We'll be able to move into a canter soon."

"You need to relax and stop worrying so much. Maybe the increased speed with do you some good there." He said as he watched the forest begin to thin out. Ahead was wide open prairies, and possibly a little danger. The thought made him smile a little bit.

"So, what should I be expecting on the other side of those trees? Just so I'm ready, you know. I'd hate to go head first into a clash with the royal guard unprepared." He said jokingly, not really sure whether he was predicting the furture or just messing around. Drew really wanted to just comfort her in her obvious distress. Even if he did die, and she was caught doing magic, she should just accept their terms and then continue on with her work. If he died, he hoped it wasn't in vain, but he was highly doubtful about his death.

Arienh pulls reigns her mount to a halt just before the break into the flatlands and shifts in her saddle.

"Normally there isn't guards along here, but if I know my father and that foolheardy captain, They'll have search parties out already and a reward posted while they sit back and discuss my 'madness' over brandy, sure everything will be righted by morning...."

She shrugs and points to a distant glow of window light.

"That's the first farm, we're about 40 minutes from the town when we hit that mark. Then we go north to the moors. We'll need to be as inconspicuous as possible... We may have to take the low road through pasture."

Grinning from ear to ear, Drew listened to her plans carefully. "Sounds like fun."

He patted Teddy on the neck and smiled. "We're with you all the way. Just lead on, Arienh."

Drew was so completely ready for this mad dash, he was actually eager to break. He grew up in a that stupid city where nothing ever happened. Then he meets Arienh, disloctaes her arm, and suddenly his life turns upside down for the better. He was so excited and happy to be out of there. And it was all thanks to her. Glancing at her, he smiled. She really was pretty to look at, especially by the fire or moonlight..

Arienh notices drew watching her and quirks her head to the side.

"Is something wrong? It's not too late for you to turn back you know--"

"You're not getting rid of me that easily, sweetheart." Andrew replied with a calm smile. He wasn't sure if she was trying to save him, or simply get rid of him, but it didn't matter. He was going to stick with her until those guards caught him and killed him. Not to mention, he would have to make a garnd exit. Just because he had to go didn't mean he was going to let her as well.

"Hmm.. If we do get caught, which I know we won't.. We could say that I kidnapped you." Andrew said as he followed her down the path. "That way, you won't be charged for anything and be saved that gruesome fate of getting your head cut off." He smiled a bit, not sure if she could see his teasing face. "I don't think that look would suit you at all."
