In the announcements, they've upgraded towns a little, and we no longer need shovels or bug nets to catch/pick stuff. Everybody can pick flowers or catch bugs regardless. And they upped the price of shovels and nets so that if you want to sell them back to the store, you get back what you paid. 3nodding

So you no longer need tools to pick flowers or catch bugs ... o...k... stare (it strikes me as a bit odd, but anyway...). I'm undecided what to do with the tools now... can't see actually using them for my avatar, but who knows.
I noticed yesterday that you no longer need to visit the fountain to redeem your bugs/flowers/trash, but can save directly to your inventory from the little backpack that is now with you as you traipse through the towns. The motion seems a bit smoother and faster as well...

i wonder what they'll do with the fountain areas now, they're pretty, but a waste of a block when so many people have nowhere to place their homes, but then again, there are a lot of empty blocks within towns, are they all reserved? i'm a little confused by that.

Oh wow, I haven't tried yet, so didn't know about the backpack save. That will be much easier! I hate filling up and having to find a fountain.. I do often see bugs there though, but never trash or flowers. Yeah I see a lot of 'empty' lots too, but maybe they're reserved by people who don't know what to do with them or something. If someone has a mule which they don't plan to put into a purkle neighborhood, maybe they should try buying a town permit and seeing if they can place their house anywhere. I haven't yet heard about whether neighborhoods can still be reserved, or how often they can be, but haven't really looked into it either.

Today and yesterday I can't get towns to load. Well, it loads, but when I go to a neighborhood, it stops loading about halfway through so I never get into it. And when I try to fish or play cards, it never loads at all.. just sits there with the bar going back and forth, even if I refresh it, or try again. Slots loaded (and I won about uh.. 150 tickets or so off 99 tokens, pretty good!) but I can't seem to play the others. Is it just me?

I love the new changes to the towns. Things move much smoother and faster now. No toggling to pick a flower and then catch a bug.

Yeah I agree. It does go a lot faster and smoother, and you can pick more than 10 of each before saving. I can get it to work now, sometimes, but other times when I go to a new screen it sits there trying to load forever. Sometimes if I leave it alone and do something else, it will finally load it like after 10 minutes. LOL

It's not just you ... I've had some success loading towns and other times where it just refuses to. When they load, it's nice though.

i've always had that frozen window issue with towns, when it does it i just shut it down and start again.
one issue i have now, i usual start collecting from my purkle neighbourhood, and i can't get to it now, the friends tab has gone from the status window confused
