A Vandoren Java will give you a brigher sound, if that's what you're into. But if you want that darker, fuller sound, maybe Zonda's the way to go. That's what I'm using right now, as a matter of fact. I just really like the colour I'm getting.

I have been using La Voz reeds for years, and they've been great for what I need them for. Generally, I try to rub the back of a piece of sandpaper on the reeds against a flat surface before I use them, because this seals them and prevents waterlogging. I also keep the reed cases in a ziplock bag to prevent excessive drying out and warping.
