I just watched the first episode of the Disgaea anime unsubbed. If you saw the preview at all, you would've gotten the idea that the anime was going to be exactly like the series except animated. I quickly discovered this is not the case. Flonne is like the first character to show up, Gordon, Thursday, and Jennifer make a very early appearance, and Etna just barely makes an appearence before the end credits. How odd.

I watched the trailer. Going to watch the unsubbed version soon. Does anyone know of fansubbers taking on Disgaea anime?

Hmm... it's an Ok anime...
Actually I thought it wouldn't be any good... but it surpassed certain aspects that I imagined...

Wow eek It's alot better than i expected. Im looking forward to the next episode when it comes out. Im surprised it wasn't Etna who woke up Laharl.

Yeah its really great biggrin
They follow the game story really good and that they dont follow it exactly as the game story.
I got suprised when it was Flonne that waked Laharl up sweatdrop
I watched the preview some time before the first episode and in that it WAS Etna that did it to Laharl, just like in the game eek
Me very confused xd
But in the end....its fantastic heart
