(These are more like stories about my mom and Gorillaz)
1. My mom and I are chatting with my 3-year old cousin. We're quizzing her on animal sounds, so I say what sounds do Gorillaz make?(Somebody else may have thought gorillas, my mom and I both knew I meant Gorillaz) So my mom starts singing "I got sunshine in a bag!" *sniff* I'm so proud of my mom to remember those lyrics!
2. Sometimes as a present to my parents I play Gorillaz when they're about to enter my room. So my mom walks in near the end of "Rock It", and she asks "Is he saying 'Drop dead?'"
My brother is incredibly anti-Gorillaz, but it's all in his head. He'd love them. I was the same way with Linkin Park. If you want to help save poor stupid Alex, it's in the Song Chat thread "My brother's an arse, but summfink about Rock The House..."
My dad isn't very happy with how...graphic Gorillaz get. He saw 2D's Respect False Icons pic, and he wasn't really happy. He didn't say anything. However, he does like some of the music. He's got Faust on his iPod. Yes, my 53 year old dad can operate an iPod.

There at 2 things I find absolutely amazing about your story...

1. Your mom knows Gorillaz eek (My mom likes Gorillaz but she doesn't really know the songs that well) xp

2. Your dad can work an ipod...(Sorry but my dad doesn't know how to operate a televison properly... xp Except to change the channels, and turn up the volume... Although he mysteriously forgot how to turn it down ninja )

And I had this dream with Gorillaz. There was a new G-Sides album, but there were a ton of different versions, each with a different mix of songs (Like "XYK", "XYJLK", "XKL", names like that), and they were all over this store. I didn't recognise one song title, and even though 2D was on each of them, they weren't Hewlett style. It looked like it was out of the video for "Good Song" by Blur. Which makes a tad of sense, cuz 2D seems very beautiful to me! (Good Song lyric)

My mom liked some of their songs when I had her listen to them.
She didn't like the more techno-ish sounding songs, like O Green World and such. She hates techno. xd
I'm sure she'd love Blur, but I haven't had her listen to them yet.

My dad says he thinks both 'rillaz and Blur are, "okay." But they aren't really his cup of tea. He does recognise and appreciate their talent, being a musician himself.

My cousins like them, and my grandma liked some of their songs too. I didn't think she would.

Well, lessee...I've got stories...oh, the stories I will tell...
(What the hell's the matter with me today?)
Well, it all started with the videos, duh, and I found my mom's Gorillaz CD. Does that tell you much?
So, when we bought the Gorillaz CD again, ummm, I'm gonna say it was December, cos we were in Indiana...I asked her why she bought it in the first place...it went summin like this-->
"I was in Wal-mart one night, and they were playing a song over the speakers in the electronics department, and I liked it, so I asked the kids at the counter what it was. They said it was Gorillaz, and so I bought the CD. Then I found out it was censored. I am never buying a CD at ******** Wal-Mart again..." so said my mum.

Weeeeell, on that same trip,(Indiana) we were outside of Chicago, listening to Q101. (I love love LOVE that station) and a song came on, and I was like(to my mum) "Hey, hey, hey Lysa!! I think this is Blur, OMG IT'S BLUR!! LISTEN TO IT!" (It was Girls and Boys, I about died!) and after it was over I started raving about the station, and my mom loved the song! I was like "Man, the only song these American stations ever play of Blur is Song 2!!" well...at least in Iowa...

I've drove my mom crazy with Gorillaz as of late, though...

Oh, and my dad likes Blur too, as far as I can tell...it's so hard to tell with him! I had him singing along with Parklife, and he likes The Universal (as does my mum, we were listening to The Great Escape in the car and she turned to that song...) I dunno if my dad likes Gorillaz...I think he kinda does...

My dad's pretty cool. He LOVES My Chemical Romance...which is strange cos all he really listens to is 80's music. I like his music taste, though...and my mum's...

Sorry that was sooo bleeding long! I'm gonna go...have some chocolate milk now.

My mom could care less about them. O.O But, when I got Demon Days, She was all like "Let's listen to it, yo!" and I was like" K." So I played it and when it got to Kids With Guns she asked me if 2D was saying "Kissing guns"..>.>' I laughed...

My little sister often mistakes 2d for a girl though. gonk

If 2D were a girl, I'd feel very sorry for her parents. Or anyone she tried to hit on. D=

I recently let my little brother watch the Rock It music video(I know, he might get scared, but I was desperate for him to keep quiet!). I'm glad to say he likes it, but he always refers it to "scary music" along with some words like "blue girl" xd

My brother likes 'em. Which is why he dressed up as Phase One Noodle last year for Halloween.

My mom likes their music too, (atually she likes everything Damon's been involved in), but she's not really interesting in the whole band story, etc.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect my parents to be that into them as well.
My stepdad would probably only like the tracks Del sings one because my dad's a Hieroglyphics fan and is into all that underground hip-hop.
