devilmaycry777 And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell "One more soldier reporting sir, I've served my time in Hell." That one always gets my eyes a little moist. I don't know why.

this is a quote my grandpa told me,it is what makes me keep going
"It is the soldier, sailor, airman, and marine, not the reporter, who gives us freedom of the press It is the soldier, sailor, airman, and marine, not the poet, who give us freedom of speech It is the soldier, sailor, airman, and marine, not the campus organizer, who gives us freedom to demonstrate It is the soldier, sailor, airman, and marine, who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, whose coffin is draped by the flag It is the soldier, sailor, airman, and marine, who allow protesters to burn the flag"

As the Marines look upon the field of battle, rounds flying in every which way and explosions happening every few seconds in seemingly random order and location, they look upon this debris covered and crater filled hellhole and finally feel at home.

army cadance the armys colors, her colors are red, to show the world, the blood we shed the armys colors, her colors are white, to show the world, that we will fight the armys colors, her colors are blue, to show the world, that we are true. "just remember, if i die for you, it wasnt cause i thought your life was worth more than mine, but that the life you save might be." some people put on a uniform and deliver pacages, or serve french fries, well we deliver a$$whoopings, and serve with pride. *that ones mine*

Anything on this page, but especially: 3. If it's stupid but works, it isn't stupid. (I live by this) 24. Friendly fire--isn't. 35. When the pin is pulled, Mr. Grenade is not our friend. On a more serious note, I love aphorisms, and here's a few of my favorites about war: "You can get more of what you want with a kind word and a gun than you can with just a kind word."--Al Capone "The enemy is anybody who's going to get you killed, no matter which side he's on."--Joseph Heller, Catch-22. "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."--Ben Franklin. "And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."--JFK "The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other b*****d die for his."--not General George S. Patton. This is from the movie about him; it was spoken by George C. Scott. "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself"--FDR "Join the Army, meet interesting people, kill them."--Steven Wright "All war is deception."--Sun Tzu. "What a strange game. The only winning move is not to play."-- War Games.
