Are we allowed to bring merchendise from Japan to America? 'Cause I know in Canada you couldn't bring anything over the boarder. (At least a few years ago you couldn't.) 'Casue I'd like to get some anime, manga, and music when (IF!) I go, but not if I can't bring it home.

Heh heh... When I flew home from Japan last summer, they wouldn't let my suitcase onto the plane until I took out about 15 pounds of manga (which ended up in my backpack - it was rather unpleasant). There's pretty strict controls on food products (especially produce) because of contamination and insects, but there's not really any restrictions on other stuff (well, besides the obvious, like weaponry D: ). You just have to declare what you bought. I imagine it's the same for Canada - there's no way a country would want to prevent tourists from coming and buying stuff.

...And I'll let someone else take a crack at Aiko's next question.

I was asking because when we last went to Canada they wouldn't let us bring a Beanie Baby that we could only find there over the boarder for some reason. But that was also a few years ago, like 6? 7? 8? years ago? I don't even remember.

i want to meet now would be correct, but this is close. it in more natural english mean " i can't wait to see you"

Ah...how do you pronounce this one: 会? I've seen it, bt don't know what it means or how it's pronounced.

I've been trying to work more on grammar than volcab. and kanji right now. Volcabulary and kanji will come to me very easily later. The only other thing I worked really hard on was kana. Which, remember, I can read. wink

good, that is what i would advise.

but a REALLY good trick our teacher teach us, is to go over sentence, and when you come to kanji you cant read, you are told what it says and you start sentence again. in your case, if youi learn menaing, it is also good to learn vocabualry

I love Japanese manga for the practice, but it makes my day when there's furigana. I only know maybe 750 kanji... so many more to learn! sweatdrop
