Caution: Spoilers Ahead

Has anyone here read it? I imagine that's likely, given the type of people we tend to attract...

My question is, what did you think of the religious implications - and blunt statements? The Holy Grail as Mary Magdalene, mother of Christ's daughter, Christ as simply a man and a prophet rather than deified as he is now, so on and so forth.

Also, the many symbols and such presented in the book.

I've read it! I quite enjoyed the Christianity bashing... I thought the blunt statements were great until I learned most of them were false, since the book is fiction. I've watched TV shows and read articles talking about all the crap made up in the Da Vinci code. For example, the Priory of Sion is not the group as presented. It's really old, and only existed for a little while, and it was totally different than the book's supposed group.

Well, it is one of the best books of fiction I have ever read.

On an accuracy note, the idea of the Holy Grail being metaphorical isn't hard to believe, but I find Christ having children and being married very hard to believe, and I personally, no offence, find it to be nothing but an attempt to freak some people out.

Still, I liked the book.

I've read it and a few of the books that goes with it.

I love it!!!!

The book maybe fiction but it's based on fact.

Also try reading Mary Magdalene: Christianity's Hidden Goddess and Holy Blood Holy Grail.....these aren't fiction.

Ah, yes... it mentioned a few other books. I plan to find and read all... *counts* five of them.

It's very controversial, and not all of the information presented in it is accurate, but at the same time, it's quite easy to believe (I loved the anagrams! ^^), and it can be hard to discipher what is and is not fiction.

Must learn more...

i just read it the other day, and some of the stuff was probly fake, but all the stuff with fabrications being the basis of the christian religion is true. ive done some researh into it after my stepbrother told me of this, well before the book came out. one example being jesus's birthday. records show he was born in late spring and the wisemen took three years to get there, yet they say he was born in early winter and the wisemen found him in the stable.
but i also want to look into the origin of symbols mentioned in the book(like the pentagram being formed by Venus over a period of eight years).

As far as I remember, the pentagram was once used to represent the Five Wounds of Christ.

I loved the book, and the Christian bashing....I didn't find it hard to believe....even though it is fiction. I think it makes more sense that way.

I loved the book, i love the pentacle and i loved how it sort of made the pentacle a very high symbol and sort of made christians look a bit shamefull

Read it, loved it, especially the Christian bashing. Haven't read "Angels & Demons yet", but I plan to.
