All I've seen is box art from the dvds, and I've gotta admit the mecha looks cool. I know nothing else about it.
I'm surprised there are 49 episodes and somewhat surprised cartoon network bought the license.

YTV began airing 'Eureka Seven' last week in it's Bionix lineup, friday nights. Your satellite guide may only display the word 'Eureka', following Inuyasha, if I recall.
the English voice-acting is whiny, reminescent of Megaman NT Warrior

Does anyone know the story behind why the english voice actors read the word "eureka" as "El Recka"? Did they miss junior high science classes?

Old thread yes, but I just came around to this. I just finished off watching the series via fansubs, and man.
This is quite possibly the greatest thing I've ever seen. I don't know why, necessarily, but the whole series went and turned into something amazing halfway through and remained as such for the rest of the series.
And Dire, the j-voice actors pronounce it the same way for some reason.
However, yes, Eureka seveN, or as it's full name: Psalms of Planets: Eureka seveN, kicks so much behind that it's unholy.
To date, it's one of the only animes to ever elicit a vocal (and not necessarily a word) reaction from me, other than a laugh, when I'm watching it alone.
PS: Nirvash-Type TheEND for the win. For the absolute MAJOR win.

I think i made it about half way through Erueka Seven before YTV shot back into reruns, maybe a little over half I am not to sure. When first started watching I was some what reperhensive mostly because of Renton. He reminded a little to much of Shinji Ikari, but as I watched, the show grew on me. Erueka Seven has a way about that makes it hard to dislike, the animation is clean and smooth, the dubbeded script is good, the English voice actors do a fine job. Most if not all the LFO battle scenes are amazing. I like the surfing references as well, like how some of the characters wear wet suites even thought there nowhere near any body of water. and naming the dits female character Gidget was a nice little wink of the eye. The only thing I have on the show is that sometimes for me it's hard to take a dramatic scenes as seriously as there intended especially Talho i think it's because just when she getting serious an all angst over Holland and what not, it's that outfit shes wearing, sometimes they cut to a back shot a Talho and shes flashing i little bit of butt crack, and butt crack is a drama killer
may be spelling errors it's like 3:30 am
