Asad caught the impish grin on the man's face and reflected it on his own, walking around the man and the cub to give the creature a good looking over. "He's a bit busted up...bet the ma died or he was gonna be dog food." He chuckled a bit, poking at the cub's back a bit which earned another uncomfortable squeel out of Kayin. "But if you can train a lion- it would be far more fine than a mere dog for a hunter and pet... and if he turns out to be not fine enough you can always have a nice pelt to wear. Even the cheif would be jealous of either one."
Kayin, who had little idea of the conversation, remained looking bug-eyed at the pale man, his mouth open a bit with the discomfort of dangling from the man's paw. He didn't like this at all... his mom had never picked him up before, no one had, it was a strange feeling that left him dumbfounded. Even more confusing was the strange mouth movements of these creatures. They meant nothing.

Bat grunted thoughtfuly at this, eyeing the cub again. There was something...off about the scrawny grey cub, though he couldn't quite put his finger on what it was. "Guess it's worth a shot." He shrugs. "Sell it to the circus if it aint. Prolly better off than starving." Imagine if he could tame it though...the effect it would have on the railroaders and tycoons....the ripples this little cub had the potential to make were a mite larger than the village. "Lets get a move on I guess. Better see what other pups are about to rustle up."

"Here." Asad stretched out the coil of rope he had been carrying, "He might start squirming- little or not he's still got claws and teeth to deal with." He remembered the feeling of both, neither were vey comforting, "I can't wait to see the look on the chief's face when the pale-man brings back his game. Even five dogs cannot beat one lion. Just imagine what a fine pelt he'd make too if he were to be untamable. Enough for a few beasts at least."

"Boyo, if this overgrown barn cat goes tame, I could buy me a herd of horses and the ranch to keep em on, just off the railroaders when they trip on their chins." He chuckles, reaching to take the rope greatfully. "Don't think we can much loose on this here gamble."

"Exactally! And no one will bother your tent anymore with it laying in front of it... imagine how big it'll get..." He reached up to take the cub's scruff and hold him for the man to secure. The lion gave another squeeling protest, his paws twitching as if ready to scratch either of them. All claws had been shot from the tips of his paws and his mouth was wide threatoningly but with his scruff restrained there was little else he could do but cry out. "You going to name him?"

Bat snorts again at the flailing of the cub, taking the ragged paws neatly and tying them together, starting to tie both front and back feet together the way he would a roped calf. "Aint thought of anything yet..." He admits. "So far best I can think of is 'Brat'." He chuckles, amused. "Hell, just look at that tantrum huh?"

"Get his mouth too... I can't stand the sounds he's making..." He grunted, holding the creature's head back as the cub started to almost wail, tossing his head back and forth. Whatever this stuff was on his paws he didn't like it. He couldn't move! The thing had tricked him with food. "Brat? That's a scary name." Asad rolled his eyes a bit.
"UTOMO!" Kayin cried out over and over, looking around hopelessly for his brother. "UTOMO PE...P...pew.....leeeeeseeeee!"

"When he gets tougher, he gets a tougher name." Bat fires back, looping the rope around the cubs muzzle. " 'Less you got a better idea?" He challenges, guessing it's for the best that the boy doesn't know that "Bat" sounds much like a rather unimpressive little creature it'self...primarily good at scaring the hell out of women folk.

"He's yours, you get to name him." He shrugged, "I'm sure little 'princess' will name her dog after a flower or some such nonsense." He released the cub who could do little more than look between the two panting in panic. "Well then. Back to the village or go flaunt to the others?" He smiled a bit, picking up his spear to look it over.

The corner of Kizaki's mouth curled up, she'd smelled the scent on this creature on Dhati when he'd been hurt. This was one of the things that hurt him then? One of these? She snuffed and sat down, not moving towards the creature but not running away either. For some reason something told her that she didn't have to be worried, even if she was killed this creature wasn't too bad. A small yip worked its way from her muzzle and she smirked. ninja

"Thats a good girl" A smile appeared on his face as his other arm swung over his shoulder to grab a small scrap from his meal earlier, he tossed the scrap into his outheld hand, offering it to the wild dog.

Kizaki tilted her head at the hand that dissapeared and reappeared behind the skinny human's back. The corner of her mouth curled and her teeth bared angrilly. What was he up to and why did he smell so strange? Leaning her nose closer to his hand as she growled more, she sniffed into it. The smell of meat permeated his hand now and she lapped her tongue out to lick it.
Yick. That meat didn't taste raw like she was used to. Her tongue stuck out in disgust and she attempted to lick her fur to get the taste from it.
Sighing the little pup turned up her nose in disgust and twisted her body so she could run away. If these humans were as bad as that meat, then she could imagine that being around them was just as bad. Using her larger than normal paws, the pup took off across the savannah in a dead run. Something told her to go as far as she could, something made her nose twitch. Something salty. Maybe her new home would be there. ninja
