Bastet smiled. "There is now need to bow, mage," she said softly. "But do tell me why you are here. I do not often see uninvited humans in a sphynx camp"

"I was on my way to the city when I saw the sphynxes were in need of help. I'm a healing mage too," Kayt nodded to Bastet. She seemed nice Kayt thought, "I was always told if I could help some one even a stranger, I should."

Bastet nodded. "We are in much debt to you, then, mage," she said. "You are welcome in my halls if you ever need shelter there." She paused. Then, almost as an afterthought, "What is your name, mage?"

"Thank you," Kayt bowed again to hear before hearing Bastet's question, "My name is Kayt." Kayt touched the necklace hanging around her neck with her right hand whispering something and in a flash of light Kayt held a crystal rose, the same color as her necklace, in her right hand. Kayt looked back up at Bastet holding the rose out to her, "For you Lady Bastet, if you need me use this."

"Thank you, Kayt" Bastet said softly as she took the rose. "I am in your debt." She looked at Kayt's necklace and, stretching her arm toward the mage, rubbed the necklace. "It is beautiful," she said. "If you are in need, just touch it and I will know."

Kayt smiled and nodded, "Does this mean we are friends?" Kayt looked at Bastet hopefully

((No prob. It's a bit hard to rp with only two people and this kind of plot anyway.))
Bastet nodded. "I guess you could put it that way," she said with a chuckle. "I am grateful for your assistance, but we could still end up hating eachother. Now, I'm sure you will want to get on with your life and I must return home, myself. So, goodbye until our next meeting, Kayt." With that, Bastet walked down to the lake and took a drink from it before heading north, towards her castle.

Bastet had left Kayt standing in there lost in thought, "Hopefully our next meeting will be more of a cheerful one." Kayt looked at the grouping of sphynxes farther off,"I should get back home and tell the others of the attack."

Bastet sighed. Why couldn't she just lead a normal life? She had sincerely wished to talk longer - and about more pleasant things - with Kayt.
((Sorry I couldn't reply sooner! Goodness, we need more people!!))
