No, I don't either. I don't find effeminate men or bitchy/mean girls attractive at all - mega turn off.

But hey, always up for new friends.

Hmmm.... I suppose it really depends, no? Flamers are just expressing themselves. Think of it as cheerleading, I guess. It's the clothes they wear, the things they do. It doesn't exactly say who they are. Inside.

Hmmm.... Did I make any sense?

Very profound and a wonderful analogy ^_^. I never would have thought of it that way, but I think that, that is very true sweatdrop

As profound of an analogy as that was, I still wouldn't want to date a flamer lol. And most flamers are flamers on the inside.. sorry to burst your bubble.

I like men because they're MEN. Not girly-boys.

I have nothing against flamers (except the ones that parade themselves around in gay pride parades and pride weeks etc. .. for my own personal reasons) but I would hate it.

I'd be like.. yes.. yes.. that is pretty GODDAMNIT BE A MAN!! gonk >_>

One of my friend is a flamer. He harrasses me for being a straight-gay man, I harrass him for being a gay-gay man. 'tis all in good fun. razz

To me, flamers are trying way too hard. It's like they're insecure with who they are and so they feel the need to put on some dramatic persona. That's not to say I don't find it amusing a lot of the time. But I couldn't live with it either.

No, you don't, because you're not bashing people for who they are, what the do and whatever they like.

I'm not against "flamers," but I am against some of the traits that flamers stereotypically embody. I can't tolerate people who are fake and catty and backstabbing, but I wouldn't necessarily associate these traits with effeminate gay men. Categorizing gay men as "flamers" or athletic guys as "jocks," etc. is limiting. Sure, there are people who live up to those stereotypes, but when you get to know a person you usually find that they're a lot more nuanced than you first thought. Everyone has a reason for behaving the way they do-- even if that behaviour is really tiresome and obnoxious. confused

It's a personal choice, I don't want to date a total Queen either (i.e. flamer)
