Luke was...cold. He'd lived in Boston his whole life, so it wasn't like he wasn't used to being outside in the cold, but that didn't mean he had to like it. He was much more of a sweatshirt-weather kind of guy. However, the girls had wanted to come outside, and he wasn't about to step on their fun because he was a baby. He would manage. Of course, what he hadn't been expecting was that his group was not going to last long. Clara was swooped away by some German boy with a lot of heavy looks from Amelia that Luke was sure meant something. He'd have to ask her about that one later. Then, as they were getting ready to get on the next carriage, he'd heard Lylah say, "Oh, there's --" followed by what he was fairly certain was just an arrangement of sounds rather than a name, but she was scrambling off before he had any chance to ask her more. It had to be some friend, he supposed.
"Well, so much for a group of four," he said, giving an awkward smile to Amelia. She shook her head, making the little curls framing her face bounce.
"Places to go, things to see, I guess." She said, smiling back.
"Never mind, I guess we'll take a carriage for two." As if almost on cue, a carriage pulled in front of them, its bells seeming to fill the whole area with little jingles. "Shall we?"
Luke offered Amelia his hand and helped her step up into the carriage, bowing just slightly. He couldn't help but think about how small her hands felt in his as he climbed into the carriage behind her. He grabbed a blanket that was draped on the seat and tucked it around her lap before sitting opposite of her. As the carriage pulled away from the Entrance Courtyard, he spared another glance towards her. She looked pretty cute all bundled up in her Victorian clothes, her cheeks rosy from the cold. The sun was starting to set, and the reflections of the lights around the castle were making her eyes glow.
"You know," he said, clearing his throat,"You'll have to take me shopping sometime. I love all the historical-looking clothes you have, but I don't know where to buy much more than t-shirts." He laughed at himself. He really was hopeless. Especially in Britain.

I am teary-eyed, but with you, they start to dry  Slʮtɦeɾiƞ Seνeƞtɦ Yeɑɾ 🌻 Heɾɓσlσɠʯ Clʋɓ Cɑptɑiɳ 🌻 Iɗeɑlist 🌻 🍀☯🌷☮Lyric just laughed at Ella exuberance regarding the waffles but was honestly just excited as she was about them. And she was bringing jam! "Mhhm! It's almost like a small buffet after with all the different toppings and whatnot. Adding to your jam is gonna make it even better!" the teen enthused. Plus, it'd be a good segue way into introducing her to everyone. They were a small misfit family, but it worked and he loved them dearly and he wanted them to see all the great and amazing things about Ella that he already saw. It would be the best of his two worlds colliding!
Lyric was still a bit dazed from the sudden kiss and was smiling a bit dopily-not like he noticed-as he tried to get his heart rate back to normal. He was going to tease her about her courage when he saw that Ella was now looking a bit embarrassed and became worried. Maybe she thought he thought she'd been too forward, which was most definitely not the problem. Just because he hadn't expected it didn't mean he hadn't enjoyed it. It was actually pretty silly since even after Lyric had come to terms with his feelings and even got granted the coveted status of boyfriend that kissing hadn't even entered his train of thought yet. Now though...
"Before I do anything, are you upset because you think I'm upset or are you upset because this has all been allot and you're feeling all the emotions. Because I'd much rather the second because I am most definitely not upset in the slightest." He vanished away the crushed empty cup in his free hand, (wandless had to be good for something right?), and gently pushed Ella's hair away so he could fully see her face, grinning mischievously. "I mostly want to see if we can do it again since I'm more prepared this time."

xxxxx❀ Wʜᴀᴛ's Iɴsɪᴅᴇ Mʏ Hᴇᴀᴅ? He seemed a little nervous She smiled when he said he was glad that she'd come down to meet him. Well, he'd invited her down; it would be rude of her not to accept the invitation after all. Then he told her to hold out her hands. While she was a little confused, she did as she was asked. Oh gosh, she hoped he hadn't spent money on buying her a gift. She'd have to scrounge together some money and buy him something too if he had. Then he placed something in her hands and she tipped her head looking at it. Mercurio explained that it could sense temperature and bloom into a flower when it sensed warmth. Oh, this was one of his invention things! He'd crafted something for her? Well, that was very fanciful! Home made gifts were so much better than store bought ones. She could easily craft him a gift! "Oh my! This is very interesting. You've made me a little flower that can survive the cold. This is very pretty Mercurio." She grinned at him, already thinking about what she could make for him. Morwenna loved flowers so maybe she could make him a flower crown from the plants she grew in the greenhouse. That would be nice, plus it would make the blue of his eyes pop even more. She smiled dreamily at him.

 Merc blushed a little that she liked it so much. Thankfully a carriage arrived in tome to aboid too awkward. The ones on the carriage disembarked from the other side. Once clear merk opened the door for her. He had seen dad do the same for mom sonit seemed a good polite thing to do. "Ladies first. He said offering her to hop in first. Once she was in, with his help is she needed it they sat next to eachother in the warm carriage. The flower fully bloomed by now

Ella offered a vibrant smile as Lyric explained that the waffle brunch was a buffet of tasty food. "What a delightful idea! I'll see if I can think of some more funky toppings to bring." Mum or Linsey would surely have some really good ideas. Maybe even Radovan, since he was more familiar with Romanian foods. Man, she really missed being the taste-tester for everyone. Now that she was able to eat normalish sized meals, it was fun for sure.
But then she probably messed everything up! She worried that he hadn't been wanting a kiss, even if that's how all the other relationships Ella had seen seemed to function. Her heart was racing as she looked away, the girl anxious that she may have overstepped. She hadn't been expecting Lyric to ask if she was worried about him being upset or if she was just in an emotional overwhelm. He even said that he hoped it was the latter, since he wasn't upset.
Before she could try to verbalize her worries, Lyric brushed her hair back again. He was smiling, so she tried to do the same. But then he said they could do it again. That caused her to smile too. "I think I would really like that too," she looked up, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She was really, really glad that he wanted to try another kiss... or two... or ten. Who knew?

xxxxx❀ Wʜᴀᴛ's Iɴsɪᴅᴇ Mʏ Hᴇᴀᴅ? He seemed a little nervous As the carriage pulled up, Morwenna tilted her head to the side a little, then reached out to where she assumed the thestral would be. She couldn't see them, but she knew of their existence. "These carriages are an interesting piece of magic. They're the actual school carriages transfigured to look like this. The professors helped to do that." Mercurio offered for her to get into the carriage first and she obliged, taking his hand to help her get in. Then she scooted over so that he could join her and didn't have to climb over her to get in. "The flower is truly lovely," she said with a grin. Her blue eyes looked over at him and she let out a little sigh. "I'm glad that you invited me out. Most of my other friends had plans already and I didn't want to come down alone." Once they were both seated in the carriage, it began to move and Morwenna reached out to take his hand, a content smile on her face.

Merc smilled "of course! I have fun when were together!" He replied as the carraige started moving. " it is almost hard to belive its the same carriages." Should he wait till the end to ask her? At the risk of her saying no and the ride be awkward? Or ask now, get a ues and the rest of the rife be nice? Oh what to do!

In his defense, he really hadn't been prepared for that! Of all the two times he'd kissed someone it had been a mutually prepared arrangement (which seemed so weird to think regarding kissing but what could you do) and, well, as sappy as it was, they hadn't been Ella. Or rather, he hadn't had the feelings he had for them as he does now for Ella. Thankfully though after his questions, she seemed to be warming back up and smiling and even responded that she'd like to try again as well which caused him to sigh easily with relief. But now that actually had him thinking about...things.
"Great, I'm glad we-we're on the same..um..thoughts." Lyric stammered and his cheeks warmed, any previous confidence now evaporated. Did he just, go for it? Was he allowed now? What were the rules and regulations about this kind of thing?! Someone needed to create a manual; though how much help it'd be to him now wasn't really the point. But Ella was gazing up at him sort of expectantly and she seemed pretty (duh) happy. So he figured he should act like his brother for once and just not think everything through. Before he could second guess himself, Lyric's hand moved to Ella's cheek while he leaned forward and pressed his lips to hers for (what he hoped) was a soft but purposeful kiss.

She looked around at the snow covered ground with a contented smile on her face as they started to move. Her eyes were drawn back to him when he spoke again. "Transfiguration magic, while difficult, is very versatile. Every piece of magic is a thing of wonder though. From the simplest levitation to the most extravagant transfiguration." She smiled again, simply in awe of everything magical. Of course, magic wasn't something new to her, existing in one of the oldest pureblood families in the UK. But she still managed to find wonderment in all things magical. Morwenna slid her hood off so she could feel the breeze through her platinum blond locks, then looked over at Merc again. "I can see on your face that you want to ask me something, but you seem troubled about it." She tipped her head to the side, then reached out and touched his cheek. "Whatever it is, you have nothing to fear from me." Her icy blue eyes seemed to shimmer in the Christmas lights that lined the carriage path.

Ella couldn't help the flush on her cheeks. She hid behind her hair, worried that she'd managed to mess everything up. What if Lyric never wanted to talk to her again? Her thoughts were racing with every potential outcome. She finally peeked up and offered a timid smile. This was Lyric, after all. Lyric was one of her best friends, and why should that not continue? He also seemed nervous, and he said they were on the same thoughts. Good, good. Her honey eyes looked up at him, hoping he would make the next move. She didn't want to accidentally do it wrong (again)!
But he moved to hold her cheek, followed by their lips meeting once more. And again... and again. After a few moments, Ella pulled back with a nervous giggle. "I think that was really nice," She couldn't help her smile. "It's almost a shame the carriage ride is coming to an end. But... we can go around again if you want?" She bit her lip, looking up at him with an excited curiosity. Any option he chose, Ella was just excited to be with him. Now that her feelings had been identified, she wondered if she'd ever stop feeling those butterflies around him.
