

- Persephone had the strangest feeling when Adi said the word secret. She knew it was part of the joke, but it tickled something in her brain. She mentally yelled while she outwardly took a breath. Were all relationships like this? So much rumbling in her stomach and tightness in her chest. It should have felt bad, and yet it didn’t really. It just felt like…a lot. Hormones were a heck of a thing.
When Adi complimented her dress and, well, herself as a whole, she blushed. “I am very pretty, aren’t I?” she said, then immediately blushed again. Had she really just said? Oh boy. “And very humble too, clearly,” she added, hoping it’d all come off okay. She couldn’t understand how a person could make her feel so comfortable and so nervous all at the same time.
The two stepped onto the dance floor hand in hand, and she absolutely was smiling. Her skin felt electric as he put his hand on her hip. She moved her free hand to his shoulder and let him intertwin their fingers. “Don’t worry,” she said, letting her hand run down his arm for just a moment before placing it back on his shoulder, “I’m here to catch you,” she said with a coy smile.
