xxxBenjamin was born at Westminster Hospital in London, UK as the second child of Oliver Wright and Elizabeth Scott-Wright. He is the younger brother of Olivia Scott-Wright. Around his birth is when his father started to drink heavily, though his birth wasn't the cause of the drinking. His father was distraught that his life hadn't really panned out the way he wanted and he was having difficulties with adapting to the magical world around him. During his formative years, Benji wasn't as receptive to learning as his parents wanted, but they quickly realized that he was very bright when he began reading earlier than others, learned maths quickly, and became quite artistic. Over the summer, his momma and daddy got into a big fight because Livvy sneaked out of the house to go to a show. That fight resulted in Daddy going to live at a friend's house. During that next year, his parents started the divorce process. When his father figured out he was going to lose custody of the children, he hatched a plan to take Olivia and flee to America. This resulted in him getting arrested and going to jail. His sister and his mother were practically at war and his mother relied heavily on Benji for support. The summer before his tenth birthday though, Liv and Mom fixed their relationship and the family got closer. Benji received his Hogwarts letter on his eleventh birthday and was excited to go to the magical school.

xxxOver the summer, Mom took Benji to go school shopping with Liv and Roxie, which he wasn't too keen on. But in doing that, he got to meet Tsia Archer-Knapp, Roxie's niece and a first year as well. Plus she was a huge nerd just like him. They spent the whole shopping trip chatting. On the train ride, they sat together the whole way. Benji joined a bunch of clubs at school and even tried out for the Quidditch team... which he made first year! Throughout the first semester, Benji started getting weirdly angry because of another Slytherin spending time with Tsia. Just before winter break, Benji asked Tsia to be his date for the Flower Dance and she accepted. They attended the dance together and had a bunch of fun. In the final game of the year, Benji successfully stole from Roxie not once, but twice!
