Lily generally does pretty well with her studies. Maybe it's part of her Ravenclaw nature. She found that usually, as long as paid attention and did all her work, she came out okay in her classes. Divination however, was a pseudo-science (and that was being generous) so she'd take the fact she even came out with a passing grade. Her current theory as to why she didn't do so well with Wandlore Studies is that it seems to get a little too close to psychology. Or maybe there were just too many things to keep track of.
