It was odd to be back at Hogwarts, when he'd graduated a couple years ago. He, along with Radovan, had been invited to join the Grey family for a big event where Ella and Finn, plus several of Linsey's friends, were performing. Ella had even said some of her embroidery and drawings were on display. It was pretty nice to see how she'd gone from being all but invisible to sending him a handwritten letter inviting him out to watch her perform. He'd been even more surprised that Radovan had also gotten a letter with a similar invitation. Serghei apparated himself and his brother to Hogsmeade, working on fielding the older brunet's questions about the school.
Once inside, they'd find the Greys, and had opted to meet Linsey at the stage. Both Antonovs dropped in a fairly sizable donation at the entrance, and Radovan perused the schedule. "She is on stage four times, it seems. Three are as accompaniment, one is her appearing as the starlet." Rad read out, causing Serghei to lift his brows. "She also said she had a display of her art and her embroidery. It seems we have a lot to view today. Plus Linsey has a lot of friends here, so I bet we will end up looking at everything." Thankfully, the schedule left spaces for breaks in performances for just such a reason.
Now he just had to find Linsey, who was likely with either her family or some of her friends. It wasn't exactly difficult to spot her, when one could. Her hair practically glowed in the sunlight, after all. "Iată ea." Radovan said softly. This school was very different than Durmstrang, but he was used to being on guard no matter where they went. Serghei stepped past him, walking over to his girlfriend. "Dragul meu, there you are. It's starting to get busy over here." He placed a soft kiss on her cheek, sending over a small grin. "Good morning, Linsey." Radovan simply offered a small bow, his blue eyes still carefully scanning the crowd to make sure they weren't going to be attacked. Of course, Serghei was confident there wouldn't be a threat here, but he also knew why his brother had the instinct to check.

Of course Alice was going to watch Sebby and Ella perform, so why was Sebastian so insistent on making sure that Alice was here? Instead of spending time getting ready, he had personally escorted them to the viewing area and made sure that they were there. Alice could have walked Momma Kinzlie over to the area and found them seats. As Sebby took the stage, he looked directly at her and said that this was a song they'd written especially for her. Oh, so that's why! The blonde smiled and blushed a little. She'd written lots of poetry about or for Seb, but this was... something entirely else. As Seb started to sing, tears found their way into Alice's eyes. She listened to their song, enraptured by the lyrics and the accompaniment. It was so touching and reached to her deep seated fear of being outed to her parents. Yet it also spoke to the fact that she was normal for being who she was and said that her fears weren't unfounded; that it was the "village" that was wrong for not accepting her. Alice sniffled when the song ended and clapped loudly. When Seb and Ella came down from the stage, she hugged them both, still crying from their performance.

There was a time when Linsey could have claimed she could slip back into the hustle and bustle of Hogwarts and pick up where she left off; a couple years removed from graduation she wasn’t so sure she could make that claim. ‘The wheel turns ever onward,’ her godmother told her once. ‘Time goes only in one direction, forward and never back. Enjoy this time, in the here and now, for you can never go back to it again.’ At the time she didn’t understand what she meant, but now she was beginning to appreciate the wisdom imparted. While the castle remained mostly as she recalled it, the friends that were so much a part of her experience as a student were slowly taking their leave, crossing the Black Lake and walking along their own paths through life.
There was a time she would have been fully invested in a talent show such as what Lewis assembled, doing whatever she could to help make it all happen. Instead, she was a visitor, helping get Finn set for his big solo number, while being there to see Ella perform. She was beyond thrilled that her ‘Little Ghost’ was in four separate stage performances, and there was a display of her artwork, and Mom and Da were as proud as they could be. Finn needed her help with the visuals that went along with his violin solo, if one didn’t mind there would be eight of him on stage at some points, each playing part of the number, and then a group of people dancing and celebrating around him. For Linsey, sculpting illusions was as easy as drawing breath.
The Ravenclaw alum was dressed nicely for the day’s outing, with a slightly above-the-knee navy blue pencil skirt, and a cream-coloured sleeveless blouse with ruffles at the shoulders, neck and down the front, and a pair of designer black leather pumps with four-inch heels, all of it accentuating her slim build and height, while her long white hair was up off of her of neck in an elaborate arrangement which was held in place with pins and a pair of long black lacquered wooden hair stays.
Her parents were here, as were Aunt Fianna and Uncle Loch and Cousin Freya, who wasn’t so tiny these days. With a riot of long curly red hair, she was already as tall or taller than Ella, and it wouldn’t be so long from now when she would board the train for Hogwarts. Linsey was fairly certain poor Finn wasn’t prepared for taking on the role she had not so many years previously. While catching up with old friends was fun, she knew she needed to locate and meet up with Serghei and Radovan
She spotted Serghei just as he was planting a kiss upon her cheek and greeting her. “Oh, bonjour, Mon Coeur,” she said to him softly, as she then gave him a chaste kiss upon the cheek, before twirling about so she could lean her head against his shoulder, one of her favourite places to be, especially when he had his arm wrapped about her slim waist. Smiling over at Radovan, she said to both of the brothers, “Oh, my goodness, Lewis and everybody really pulled out all the stops to make all this happen today. I’m just amazed by what they did.”

Serghei was answering quiet questions to Radovan as the older looked around the grounds. He also kept peeking around, trying to find Linsey in the crowd. Likely her whole family was here somewhere, given Ella and Finn both had performances. Plus Linsey had been quite popular, meaning she was probably distracted by oodles of friends. He, however, didn't really have the same time to make all those friends, if even he'd been social enough to do so. While he was answering his brother's mention of their quidditch pitch, he was happy to pull Linsey in close. Any time her head laid on his shoulder, it just made him feel so loved.
He nodded along when Linsey said Lewis and the others had done well, but before he could respond there was an eager "Thank you!" from the somehow even taller Abrams. He had a younger teen on his back like a backpack, but he was also hurrying along elsewhere. "Sunt doar eu, sau tipul ăla este chiar înalt?" Rad whispered, earning a laugh from his brother. "That there is Lewis Abrams. He is indeed very tall. He's a hell of a Seeker, though, and he was Linsey's vice captain." Serghei explained, earning a nod from the elder of the boys.
While holding Linsey close, they both paused, attention turned to the stage as Ella's name was mentioned. "Ea cântă la pian." Serghei whispered. As the song started, he remembered hearing her practice those same notes on the little piano at his house. Radovan seemed captivated by the song, watching the youngest of their flock. When it was over, Ella was escorted off the stage, then she made her way into the crowd. Serghei smiled softly when he spotted her giving a hug to her dear friend. Then he made eye contact with Ella, who quickly hurried over. "Ella! That was so wonderful! You really are an excellent pianist."
Ella blushed a bit, before leaning into her sister's side for comfort. "Thank you. I wrote the accompaniment piece with help from Seb. He figured up most of the lyrics, which I helped put in order. But I really think Alice liked it." She seemed happy about how everything had turned out, and with good reason. Ella was incredibly talented. "You are very skilled, Mica Fantomă. A truly talented young woman." That was enough to get Ella to smile, even if she was still tucked safely into her sister's side. Her next song would be soon enough, but she would get a little break between all of her performances.

Seeing Lewis there got Linsey let out an excited squeal, and she gave a big hug, and she laughed aloud as she said, “Goodness, you’re even taller than when I last saw you, Lewis. Oh, my goodness, you’ve set the bar high for whoever takes over next year. This looks like so much fun, and it brings back a lot of memories, I wish I was back up on stage again.” In truth, she was going to be there anyway, as she needed to help Finn and Ella with a couple of their numbers, but the idea of doing a solo in front of her friends again was a tantalizing one. Linsey knew Lewis had this show tightly choreographed, because that was what he did, and she didn’t want to screw up his timetable by doing something unplanned.
Watching the show, she was amazed by the number of times Ella was on stage, something which would have had her paralyzed with fear of doing not so long ago. Hearing Ella and Seb singing their song for Alice brought the Ravenclaw Alum to tears when she thought of the hard road her friend walked already. Linsey had a box in her purse with a gift for her little sister, and she knew Mom and Dad did as well, and she knew Dad also had a large bouquet of flowers for their pianist. “Ella, that was beautiful. I’m sure Alice appreciates what you’re singing about.”
At some point, Linsey gave Serghei a kiss, and she vanished to go up on stage to help Finn do his short set, especially the first song as he needed her to handle several sound Charms, and do the Illusion Charms so there could be several of him playing violin with him in his first song, and she provided the full Gospel choir, who were singing and movie to the music in his second song, ‘Walking in Memphis’. Hearing him singing now was like night and day from when he started not so long ago, as he’d come fully into his singing talent, and he now had a nice vocal range allowing him to sing songs with so much emotion.
When Finn started his introduction of the third song, Linsey slipped away, so she could rejoin Serghei. ‘True Companions’ was a song he dedicated to them, and he said how he hoped some day soon to hear Serghei sing it to Linsey. She wrapped her arms around Serghei and laid her head upon his shoulder and kissed him when she heard the lines ‘Then, when I leave this Earth, I'll be with the angels standin', I'll be out there waitin' for my true companion. Just for my true companion.’
It wasn’t long after that when Ella had another surprise in store. She came out in a dark blue princess dress, one Linsey knew she hadn’t had a hand in the creation of, but she was still impressed by how pretty Ella looked wearing it. Linsey held her breath when Ella spoke into the microphone in this tiny voice, and then she was pleasantly surprised when she started singing in a strong voice. When the song was done, Linsey was cheering and clapping as loud as she could, hoping her voice would carry so Ella would know how proud she was.
