Constynce couldn't wait to show her grandmother the different fabrics that had been brought home. The elder woman would know exactly what to do to make the most out of each bolt. It was something that she herself would easily be able to work on later in the pregnancy when she'll need to be resting.
The mirror and brush were accepted with a gasp of awe and delight. Metalworking around the village was usually limited to building and farming supplies, with a small portion going to jewelry. The medium tended to be too stiff for her tastes, but the delicate and detailed art of the gift looked as though they were real flowers cast in metal! "I'm going to feel like one of those royals every time I use this," she cooed as she hugged the pieces to her chest. She cocked her head slightly with a slightly sad smile. She hadn't been expecting him back yet, so the children hadn't been able to make their welcome home gift yet for their father. "I don't doubt you have gifts in there for the children... but how are you treating yourself with these long trips you're making? Did you get yourself anything?" He worked so hard for them; for the sake of letting her be near her grandparents and to remain in Tale. He deserved.. so much.

Was it too much? Tryston hesitated as he watched Constynce and her reaction to the gift. At first she seemed happy and then her expression...Ah. Tryston shook his head as he realized that she was thinking about him and not disappointed in his gifts. "Coming home is my gift." He replied with all honesty, the iceling leaving the other satchels hanging on Lumi as he reached out for Constynce to give her hands a reassuring squeeze. "Feel up to helping?" They could unpack everything inside and divide up the rest of the gifts.

Her expression held that hint of melancholy, but it still warmed with affection. She would have to make sure she and the children did something extra special for Tryston when they had the time. "Well, it certainly is one of the best gifts I could imagine." She shook her head and stood tall to catch Tryston's lips for another kiss. "I think I can manage to help out a little. There is still time before I can't do my share." She looked over to Lumi and smiled. "Besides, she's already done the heavy lifting. I bet she would like something to eat and drink."

Tryston leaned into the kiss, enjoying the moment before they pulled apart again. "We could use some rest. " He admitted, the iceling giving a small nod of appreciation and reaching out to rub Lumi's neck before grabbing a satchel to help carry inside. They could work on the rooms later but for tonight he just wanted to rest and catch up with his family while sharing the presents he brought home for Constynce and the little ones. There would be plenty of time to even set up a small area for Lumi to rest in outside before winter, the very thought bringing a ghost of a smile to his lips again as he realized just how much he had missed his family and spending time at home.

"Of course. We'll get everything inside and you can put your feet up while I get dinner ready. The children are with grandfather, but should be home soon. They'll be so happy to see you! And you as well, Lumi." She reached out to pat Lumi's neck again, but her eyes remained on Tryston. He was home. Really and truly home! Constynce's heart was fluttering with her joy. She took a moment to just watch him as he grabbed a satchel to take inside before she followed to put her own gifts safely away. So many wonderful gifts were being shared today!
