Downtown was a maze to some, but Duncan still loved it, despite pollution and traffic and all of that. It held his two favorite places. The theatre and the book stores. Today, he had his mind set on exploring a new store, set back in an old classical styled building, the windows streaked with dust, the true was much the same for the interior, but the lack of clean air didn't bother him. It smelled like old leather, memories, knowledge. This was what a book store was supposed to smell like, not those new places that smelled like cleaning supplies, no. Normally, he would have prefered to spend the day at the theatre, he did more acting than reading these days, having memorized a good deal of the classics. But there was a production going on, some modern adaption that he wanted no part of, and so, he simply nodded hello to the clerk and settled into one of worn leather chairs along the back wall to memorize a few monologues. Iasc was one of these girls. The type that you wouldn't think would be able to read, or wouldn't be intereted in it anyway. A girlie girl, or so she seemed with her short minishirt and pink hair. She walked into the old bookshop, her bike and surfboard, which she always had with her were parked outside, locked and safe. Raving had told her about the shop. She had wanted to get a good, classic copy of a Midsummer Nights Dream, simply because it was one of the easier Shakespeare plays. Her adopted mother loved musicals, plays, all that stuff and was trying to get it to rub off on her adopted daughter. She walked in, her white shirt and pink skirt clashing with the old, dusty brown interior of the shop. She walked over to the bookshelves looking for a screenplay of it. She saw Duncan and smiled "Hello" she said quietly, not trying to ruin the quite atmosphere. Duncan glanced up from his copy of Antony and Cleopatra, a bit startled by the girl's well, brightness. He put the page number into memory before closing the manuscript softly and stood up, setting the copy down on the chair before taking a step toward her and nodding his head in greeting, "Hello there." Looking curiously up at the shelves, he could only take Antony for so long at a time, he ran his fingers over the spines, "Are you looking for something in particular?" She didn't seem very old, so he was trying to be helpful, a good day just put him in that kind of mood. Iasc watched the boy, or the teenager really. He looked out of place aswell, which made her feel somewhat more comfortable, though not much. She smiled, feeling new to this. "Yeah, I'm looking for an easy Shakespeare play. I'm kind of, new to literature especially the type of english Shakespeare writes in so I want to read an easier one of his work. Something like Midsummer Nights dream or something?" He flicked his tail, thinking for a few moments. "So you have trouble with the language?" Disappearing around the corner for a moment, he returned with a newer looking book, "There were a few authors who translated Shakespeare's works into modern English. Well, almost modern, they were written a while ago." He tapped the cover of the book, "This is the one I started with, Hamlet, the story is simplified a bit, but it's still good, and there's a glossary in the back." Suddenly looking a bit startled, he realized he'd been talking more than usual and he still hadn't introduced himself, "Sorry, my name's Duncan."
"People really did that. Wow thats a good idea, it would be a big help. Thank you so much" she said smiling and taking the book. "Raving told me a little about Hamlet...not to much though" she said. "She said she did a version of it on play through Gaelic." Iasc held the book with her too arms, as though hugging and protecting it. Her mother had told her that books were sacred, that if you tore or burned a book it meant burning or destroying the ideas inside, the story and the wonder. She did tell her that it didn't really count if you didn't mean too. Still she was wary to protect it. "Pleased to meet you Duncan" she said happily. "Duncan? As in King Duncan yes? Macbeth? I've never read the play but I saw it in the theater"
So she'd been to the theatre that young... The teen couldn't help but show a smile, something he hadn't done in a long time, "Yeah, exactly. It wasn't my name in hell but, well, it is now." He shook his head, "Sorry, I'm going on about nothing again. It's just good to see that interest hasn't died out. Have you considered studying the works? Like with a mentor, it's a lot easier to understand if you have someone to dicuss it with, all of them are." Iasc smiled, a little sympathetically. Sometimes it almost seemed that she was older then she really was. "My name wasn't Iasc in hell, but my mummy called me it, because it means fish in Irish and I love fish" she said, trying to make him feel a little better. She was a demon too, she knew what everyone went though. "I have actually. I want to go into theater when I'm older. I got my mum to enroll me into voice training classes, speech and drama and performing arts with my older brother Tine. A mentor?" she asked, her eyes brightening up. "That would be brillent! It would be much easier to understand if I had someone to help me!" the young girl cried happily. "My father named me Jakub. It means replacement, lovely don't you think?" He watched her for a moment when he realized she had mentioned an interest in acting, "Really? That's wonderful, there's always a need for fresh minds in theatre, I do have to say I'm a little impressed." Thinking for a moment, he set his hand on an old copy of The Tempest, "I could teach you a few things if you want, I'm still learning myself. I've been interested in theatre and Shakespeare for.." He seemed like he was concentrating, "About eleven years." Iasc smiled "I love acting, though I've only started learning!" she said happily. "Eleven years?" she exclaimed, looking wide eyed at him "You must know a load then. I would be honoured if you would be my mentor" she said smiling. "I really would because I want to know alot!! He showed a faint blush, though his expression remained the same. "I wouldn't say I know a load, but I know some tricks. Like expressions, they're key if you want to act." Glancing around the building, he tried to find an example, finally settling on the look on the face of the clerk's teenage daughter. "What do you think of her?" He pointed, motioning carefully to the lines of her face and the look in her eyes as she was slumped over the counter, thumbing through an old index. "Does she look tired, bored, annoyed? What do you think?" Iasc thought. "Umm...I think she looks bored. I don't know why will all these books around to read but she looks really bored...I think" she said, trying to think. She had a problem with making descisions, she was always terrifed that she would be wrong and people would think she was stupid or she was right and people would think she was some kind of a swot. But she left more at ease around her mentor, her new mentor. Duncan gave a bit of a proud grin, but his face quickly settled back to his normal unphased expression, "Exactly, I've spoken to her before, she's only working here to gain a little respect from her father. Truth is, she doesn't like to read at all." He'd given her one that was a bit easy to be nice, but she'd gotten it fairly quickly, now for an exercise that was a little bit harder. "The thing an actor learns though, is how to pick up those expressions. Watch." He settled back down where he had been sitting after putting his book down on the side table. With his elbow propping himself up, his expression faded, eyes drooping as he thumbed through the pages, imitating the girl's expression to almost every detail.
Iasc giggles and he did an imitation of the girl. She clapped and smiled "Well done, you've got her down perfectly! I wish I could act as well as that. I'd never be able to do that!" she said smiling. She was proud that he was so good at acting. It meant that she minght be able to learn propperly, well. She took in ever expression, every hand gesture so that she could hopefully do it herself somedat. "I can't she how she couldn't like to read. Reading is so much fun!"
Duncan smiled faintly, closing the book carefully. Stretching as he stood, that girl had horrible posture. He took a step back toward Iasc so he could speak at a lower volume and keep from upsetting anyone. "It just takes practice is all, lots and lots of practice. Ramiro told me something about the Banir schools, do they ever do plays?"
Iasc thought for a second. She didn't really know if they did. She had never asked. "Um...I think so, I'm not sure. I havn't seen them done before though" she said. Maybe she just was never brought to one but she really wasn't sure if they had or not. "I've never done one alway, I don't think they do 'em till middle school" she said finally. "How much practice did you do?" He nodded, running his fingers over the spines on the closest shelf. It was a habit really, it had been his way of checking if any of his were missing back home, if he was going to get caught, it hadn't helped though, he'd still gotten caught after all. "Well, I work on expressions all day, whenever I see someone I try to draw inspiration from them. And dialogue, I try to practice that an hour or two a day, not so much emphasis on accents though." "I don't think the elementory school do" Iasc said thinging, still giggling a little from his imitation of the girl. "But I'm pretty sure they do in high school anyway" she added, "Though I'm not positive." Raving enrolled Iasc and Tine in acting classes and preforming arts anyway so she didn't have to worry to much about that. "I hope they do anyway" she added.
((I'm just back from doing Guys and Dolls with my school myself, so thats why I took so long to reply)) He nodded, trying to think of something that would peak her interest. Well, he could offer to take her to a show, but all he knew of going on today was a modern adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, which never turned out well. Perhaps they could head down to the bus station and go to the north library, there was usually something going on around there, what with it being near the college and all. "Hey, would your parents mind if I took you uptown?" Iasc thought for a second. She certainly didn't think so anyway. After all they didn't even know she was here now. It wasn't that Raving didn't care or anything, it was just she did have alot to do today, so Iasc slipped out. She smiled "No I don't think my mum would mind to much" she said nodding brightly. He nodded, "Well then, we should head for the bus station, I've got an idea." Thinking for a moment, he looked around the store, "We're going to head up to the north library then, it's nice and quiet, very airy. Is there anything here you want? Like that modern English Shakespeare collection. Ramiro gave me some extra money in case I found anything I liked, but I've got most of what they have here." Iasc smiled. "Oh that sounds like alot of fun!" she said enthusiastically. "Um..." Iasc looked at her own money, she didn;t have to much herself. "Um...if you want I can pay you for some of it if you like. That would be extremly kind of you. I mean you don't have to...I could come back later or something" she stuttered. She didn't want to be rude or anything. Duncan shook his head, nonsense. Reaching for the collection, he smiled, "It's no trouble at all, I never need it for anything, I just end up losing my wallet and getting yelled at." He started to walk toward the front counter, the girl he had previously imitated glancing up with that same bored expression. "Thank you...so much!" Iasc said shocked at his kindness. No-one had ever been as nice to her, well nice enought to buy her a present anyway. She giggled slightly as the girl at the counter looked up at Duncan, a little wide eyed.
The girl blinked, fidgeting as she set down her magazine and picked up the barcode scanner, taking the set carefully as he handed it to her. The register beeped as she rung it up, then, with a bit of hesitation, she set the collection down, forcing a smile when she looked at him, "That'll be thirty-seven dollars with tax."
Duncan nodded, showing a smile to the younger girl before pulling out his wallet and setting the money down on the counter, the girl didn't seem to want to touch him, "You're welcome." With a thanks to the cashier, he took his change, tucked it in his pocket, then picked up the bag she had put the collection in, offering it to Iasc, "I could carry it for you if you'd like, it's a bit heavy."
Iasc smiled and looked up at the much taller and older boy. "Um..if you don'y mind that is" she muttered, a little embaressed. She just wasnt used to people being this nice to her. "So how far is this place?" she asked smiling. He smiled, "Don't mind at all, it's no skin off my back." How far... He had to think about that for a second. "Well, the bus station is only a block or two away, and then the library is a couple miles uptown. That's not a problem, is it?" Iasc shook her pink head smiling. "Nope thats no problem at all" she said grinning up at him "I was just interested to know. Hey do you know where I can leave my bike? Maybe I can ask ms. bored girl to mind it for me?" she said thinking outloud
He thought it over for only a moment, looking back at the girl, "I don't think she'd pay much attention. How about walking it to the station and leaving it chained there so we can come back and you can ride home from there, sound like a plan?"
"That sounds good to me" Iasc said taking her bike off the wall and starting to walk with it. The colour of the bike matched her hair and her kit bag full of her surfing gear was hanging on the back.
He nodded, reaching into the bag slung over his shoulder for his 'old friend'. Some may have given him strange looks for carting it around, but it was important to him, it was one of the few things he kept from Hell. With a dramatic yank, he retrieved his old friend, Yorick, the human skull, and balanced him carefully on his shoulder before he continued walking by the girl's side. Iasc walked along side him, watching the boys doings with interest. "A skull?" she asked him, more the a little confused. Why would someone need a skull, I mean...they didn't really do much did they? She watched him for a second before grinning broadly. "Of like shakespear and stuff. He used a skull or Hamlet did or something...."she trailed off trying to remember as best she could.
"Yep, this is Yorrick, he's from the first stage production of Hamlet I ever saw." Duncan sighed, remembering the time that should have been happy as being one of the reasons he was banished, "I'd be in big trouble if they knew I had this." Great, now she'd probably get nosey and start wondering just who he had taken it from, he didn't want that, after all his parents could still be looking for him to beat his brains in, "I mean, I'd be in trouble because I took it without asking, not because I have it."
Iasc nodded. not wanting to ask any questions. The past was always a touchy subject for demons. She smiled though "The first production I ever saw was Romeo and Juliet. I got the autograph of the actors and she gave me her hat. It was really cool!" Iasc said, delighted He smiled, glad to see that not only was she interested in Shakespeare, but that she was glad to have something physical to remind her of it. Most people just said they'd remember it fine and then forgot as it slipped out of their minds. Like Yorrick, the hat would be a permanent reminder of the play and might even trigger the memory when she saw it. He looked into the sockets of Yorricks where his eyes had once rested, green he supposed, and couldn't help playing back that fareful night when he had taken off out of Hell. By techinical definition, he had left on his own will. But the alternative, having the crap beaten out of him daily and his reading privelages stripped away, hadn't been much of a choice. Iasc walked beside him in silence for a while before remembering she had something to tell him. "Oh did I tell you that my sisters teaching me how to write scripts?" she said exictedly. She couldn't wait. After all she had read her sisters plays and they really were amazing so she really couldn't wait to do some for herself. Coming to a corner with a marked sign, Duncan stopped walking. It took a moment for the question to click in his head, but when it did, he beamed. Flicking his tail, he gave Yorrick a little twirl and shook his head, "No, I don't think you ever mentioned that. That's good, it's never to early to start writing the next masterpiece."
Iasc beamed back up at him. "Oh my sisters such a good script writer. She wrote this play about her and her boyfriends times together as children and it was the best play I've ever read, other the shakespears ones of course!" she rambled excitedly. She was in awe of her sisters work and looked up to her.

Iasc got out of the water, carring her surf board with her. The beach was dull and the waves wern't too big so she ended up giving up. She walked back into the beach and shoved her surfboard into the sand. She lay down her towel and looked around, seeing here was only a few people on the beach. She put on her miniskirt and hoodie. She sat down and started to think, of everything and nothing.
Zuko yawned boredly, as he lounged in the sand, laying down with his elbows propping his torso up as he traced random patterns in the sand with the spikes on his tail. He flopped backwards in the sand, eyes shut as he gladly took in the warm beach sunshine. He opened his eyes again, a flash of bright pink catching his eye. Rolling over onto his stomach with his arms under his chin, he watched a girl with impossibly bright pink hair sit down in the sand. Sitting up and stretching, he gave a friendly wave to the girl, smiling cheerfully.
Iasc smiled and walked over to him, having nothing else to do reall.y "Hi, are you a Banir?" she asked happily sitting down beside him. Her hair was still dripping from the water and was falling down onto her pink hoodie. She dug a whole in the sand with her toes, covering them comletely sometimes. He laughed, nodding. "Nothin' else I would be, oh colorful lady. I'm Shizuko Torren, though you can just call me Zuko if ya want. And you are?" He asked, cocking his head to the side as he studied her, remembering her face for if he saw her again.
"I'm Iasc Orga!" she said happily. "But you can call me Iasc, if you want that is" she added. "My name means Gold fish in Irish, what does yours mean, if it means anything?" she asked, smiling, still digging with her toes in the sand. He raised an eyebrow, laughing and shaking his head. "Craziness. Honestly I don't know if my name means somethin'. For all I know it could, but I can't remember anythin' from before I came to the AC, and honestly I don't want to. Though I hope I don't have the misfortune to forget your pretty face." He smiled cheerfully at her. "Neither do I, but my new mom renamed me when I came here so thats my name now" she said smiling. She blushed when he muttered the last coment "Um...thank you?" she said, never getting any sort of complement before. He laughed, grinning cheerfully. "Hey, only the truth. So, whose your mom now? Though I doubt I know her, I may've heard her name mentioned before somewhere." "Well my new Mom is Raving. I don't remember my old mom but my new one is really nice! I have a ton of brothers and sisters aswell now! I used to be an only child, I think, but its great to have all these brothers and sister!" she said giggling. He laughed loudly, a deep rumble in his chest. "Ha ha, likewise. Niko's got so many kids, I'm surprised she doesn't have a head full'a gray hair! She's got me, a couple girls, some boys, and almost none of us are the same species." He laughed again, grinning crookedly. "Yeah, Ravings only 18 aswell! I was really surpriced. Yeah she has a load of them. Theres only two or three girls and anything between 20 and thirty boys, you can never really tell because they keep coming and going and multiplying!" she said, laughing brightly, her hair falling off her fasce as she did so.
He grinned, laughing. "I bet'cha Niko's got her beat. She's 16, though I think she's older then that really. She's an angel, so not too sure." He watched her quietly, head cocked to the side, grinning at her outlandishly colored hair. ((*giggles* I'm actually 16!))
"Yeah I think thats the same with Raving, I think shes older then that" she said trying to think. She curled her hair around her little finger as she did so, the ends starting to go slightly wavy again.
((Whoo 16 year olds! *Turned 16 11 days ago* ))
He shrugged, before grinning and laughing openly. "Ha ha, wanna do something besides talk about how old our mothers are?" He continued laughing, softer now, grinning at her while trailing his tail through the sand.
"Oh course! What do you want to do? Do you surf or swim?" she added. She thought it would be nice if they boy could surf. She loved to surf herself and thus would like someone to surf with. She had Ellic but he had just learned and wasn't that good.
He grinned broadly; He liked both! Albeit he wasn't the best surfer, and couldn't remember where he knew how to do it. Hell, before he got booted pro'lly, though what they surfed on in hell he really wanted to know. "I like both. I know how to surf, though I'm pro'lly not nearly as good as you, since you've got the look of a natural 'round'ja. I know how to stay on the board and ride a wave, at least." He said with a laugh. "You really surf? Wow thats really cool. I havn't met anyone before whos actually known how to surf, but everyone else I know are quite young" she added thinking. "Oh thanks!" she added blushing slightly at the last comment. "I'm sure you're really good!" He snorted down a laugh, grinning. "If you consider toppling more then anything, then I guess so. It's fun to fall off in the middle of a wave, though I do get a little antsy sometimes when under water and a wave." He grinned sheepishly. "I bet you're really good!" Iasc said smiling, "I mean atleast you can surf. I've had to teach some of my friends how to, its fun but sometimes does get a little annoyinh, but I like doing it anyway!"
He chuckled, grinning and nodding. "Yeah, long's you're not surfing right ontop of a reef, then it can be pretty painful if you fall." He winced to emphasize his point, before grinning sheepishly. Iasc laughed "I must say I've never done that" she said "And now I definarlt wont try anyway!" she added laughing broughtly. "When did you learn?" He frowned. "Well, I think I learned most've it in Hell, though what I surfed on I hesitate to remember." He laughed. "I went to the beach at one point after being booted but before coming to the AC, and I was surfing there for awhile, before I heard about Arafel's place."
"Yeah I think I did too" Iasc said thinking "I remember very very little about hell though, if I wernt told I was there at all I wouldn't of though I was there" she added laughing slightly. He laughed slightly, if a little bit nervously. He'd have remembered hell alright, whether he was told or not. He still had Errdegahr, his past self, stuck in him. "Eh, likewise, I guess." He said, fidgeting. Iasc smiled. "Well enough of this talk now. Do you want to go surfing or something?" Iasc said brightly. She understood why the topic would make him uncomfortable. He nodded with a smile. "Sure. You have an extra board that's big enough for me? Wasn't exactly thinking about surfing today..." He said, laughing ruefully with a sheepish grin.
Iasc smiled "I always have an extra board with me. I hope you don't mind it being pink though" she added laughing. Most people could tell that pink was this girls favorite colour.
He couldn't help but laugh, grinning broadly. "You can tell a man's a man when he uses a pink surfboard." He chuckled, standing up and offering the girl a hand up.
Iasc took his hand thankfully. "Well I guess you could say that!" she said smiling brightly. She walked over to the surfboards and took her favorite one out.
He pulled her up as she took his hand, grinning and following after her. "Wow, that's alot've surfboards. They're all yours?" He asked her, cocking his head to the side. "Yup all of them are mine" Iasc said smiling "Incase any of the other ones brake or something" she said happily. He laughed. "Hopefully none ever will, so hopefully you'd never need to use them." He chuckled, peering into the pile for said pink surfboard. It was hard for him to pick out the specific pink surfboard "Yeah I'm hoping it will never happen but I just wanted to be sure!" He whistled appreciatively. "Not even gonna ask how much they all cost'cha..." He said, reaching in once he saw the flash of tell-tale pink, carefully pulling out a long board with a grin. Iasc smiled "I know..but most of them I got for my birthdays and such. Others I found and more...well I dunno. I just aquired them!" He chuckled. "How old're you now then? You must be ancient to have so many from birthdays!" He laughed, sitting back down with the pink board across his lap. "Peopl dont really know what to get me...so everyone gets me the same thing!" she said laughing brightly. She took out her favorite light pink with flowers on it. "Ready?" He laughed, grinning still and nodding. "Makes sense." He rested the larger pink board on his shoulder, smiling. "Definately!" "So shall we get into the water then?"she said smiling, picking out her favorite one He nodded with another smile, walking through the warm sand towards the waves as they sprayed his legs with average temperture salt water. Iasc got into the water, feeling finally at home. She waded in deep enough before dunking in, coming up a sqirl of pink could be seen in the water. She smiled back at him. He laughed, walking through the waves before diving in, making sure the leg strap of the board was around his ankle so it wouldn't float away. He resurfaced, spouting water with another laugh. "Okay are you ready to catch that wave?" she said pointing to a very large wave coming their way "It looks good, it should hold and we should be able to ride it" she said smiling, feeling finally at home again. He grinned, nodding. "Sure, though you'll probably last longer then me, Pink-Hair" he said with a laugh, rolling onto the board on his stomach, paddling towards the oncoming wave. Iasc laughed "Is that an insult?" she asked, rolling up onto her own board and paddling towards the wave. She turned herself around as the wave came up behind her and quickly got up on the board, with elegance and ease
He snorted down a laugh. "Anything but! I couldn't insult anything pretty." He smiled, pushing himself up till he was standing up, wobbling just a little till he got his balance in control. Iasc giggled and blushed slightly, landing perfectly on the shore line, smiling and watching her new friend come in after her
He grinned, leaning backwards a little as the board rode on the wave. He overbalanced though, and fell backwards feet over head and into the water. He floated into the shore line, spitting water out of his mouth like a fountain with another grin. Iasc giggled and patted his head as floated to shore. "You're quite good you know" He waved a hand idly. "Ha ha, not really. You're better then I am, at least." He smiled, laughing sheepishly. Iasc laughed "I think you're very good" she said giggling and padding out again He shrugged with another grin, walking back into the water after her, before laying himself on the board, his tail trailing into the water as he spread his wings a little, so they didn't go too much into the water. Iasc watched him getting the overwhelming feeling to burst out laughing. "Don't like getting your wings wet eh?" she asked hopping on her own board and starting to paddle out again He grinned sheepishly. "Well, they take forever to dry, nevermind they're scales. And they're crazy heavy when wet." He said, waving a hand. Iasc laughed again and flicked her tail "Pure water demon here so I'm made for this!" she said flciking her ears He laughed, raising a fist in the air. "Dragon demon here!" He said with a smile, twitching his heavy tail in response to the ear flick before dropping it back down into the water. "Oh wow!" Iasc cried. "Can you...like...blow fire and stuff? Because if you could that would be so cool! A dragon demon! Thats so cool!" He shrugged as well as he could manage while lying on his belly on the board. "Dunno. Never really tried to see if I've got any powers or not." He said, grinning somewhat sheepishly. "I can't believe it! That would be one of the first things I would try. All I can do is breath underwater aswell, nothing very cool!" she added laughing brightly
He smiled. "That's cool enough! You'll never have to worry about drowning, and you can play any number of tricks. My little sister likes to do that, since she doesn't need air underwater either."
"Oh your sisters Aqua isn't she? Kyou likes her very much he tell me!" she said smiling. "It is good fun being able to breath underwater!" Zuko raised an eyebrow, grinning broadly. "Really? I'm not sure if she's ever mentioned him; she talks a mile a minute, it's hard to understand anything she says." He laughed, and nodded. "Yeah, it's got advantages." Iasc laughed "Kyous only mentioned her once or twice, but its a big deal when he does since he talks so little." she said smiling. "I've tried to make him better, but it just doesn't work...hes got to dark a side I think." The demon tilted his head to the side. "Alot of the banished kids have something dark or overly light about them, which is why they were banished." He laughed shortly, grinning. "At least he is talking more, though, right?" Iasc thought for a second. "I...don't think hes like us. I don't think he was actually banised...he was from him home but he just lived in another house, not like hell or anything like that...its strange" she said thinking as she said so. Zuko frowned. "Not exactly sure how that works out... He's not a demon, but he's not an angel? What is he then? Another elemental? A neko?" "Ravings been calling him a curse human....but I'm really not sure what she means by cursed...shw wont tell any of the rest of the family"
He grinned crookedly. "Well, then, if he wants someone to know, I guess he'll tell them then, right?" He smiled cheerfully, letting the tips of his wings trail ontop of the water. Iasc smiled softly "I guess you're right. No matter how badly I want to know whats happening unless he tells me himself he doesn't want anyone to know..." she said, her tail flicking the water. He smiled again. "That's the way to think. Some people don't mind if you ask, others hate it." He shrugged slightly, paddling forward towards the next wave while using his tail as a rudder. "You're right!" she said grinning brightly. "Anyone like that in your family?" she added her ears tweaking and her tail flicking in the cool blue ocean. He snorted down a laugh, grinning. "Yeah, definately. My little sister, who isn't quite so little anymore, Sere. She hates when people ask her stuff; to her, they interrogate her." Iasc smiled "Well I guess theres one in every family then" she said giggling slightly bobbing up and down as little waves moved across the water He nodded with another smile. "Guess so." He twitched his tail underwater, slowly rotating himself so he faced the beach since a medium sized wave was starting to form.
Iasc smiled and did the same. "Okay ya ready?" she said giggling brightly Zuko laughed, grinning slightly. "I was born ready!" He said jokingly, grinning while giving her a friendly wink, while shakingly standing up on the board. Iasc laughed brightly and followed suit. The wave came up behind them and pushed her gentely and eligently to shore. Not one mistake. It was obvious at this time that she was a water demon and pretty much lived in said water. She smiled as she watched him follow her down. Zuko grinned as Iasc glided easily to the shore, and he followed after her, not falling this time. Once he got the the shallower part, the waves brushing agaisnt other people's ankles, he hopped off with a smile. "Didn't fall this time, at least." Iasc clapped, laughing brightly. "Um....if you want we can go for something to drink or something if you like? Like a cafe or something?" Iasc asked as her stomach rumbled. She hadn't eater since alot earlier this morning. He nodded, tugging the board up the shore after him, before pulling the velcro strap off his ankle. "Sure, that'd be nice. It's real hot out, a drink would feel good." Iasc nodded and followed suit taking the board up with her. "Hey you can put it over here" she said walking over to a very small shed painted in bright pinks and whites. She got out a little key and opened it revealing a load of boards and such "Just shove it in there" she said doing the same to her own. "Okay theres a cute little surf shack that sells drinks for cheap" she said smiling. "Its a great place!"
Zuko trotted after her, and raised an eyebrow at the shed. "More pink?" He grinned, but carefully put the board in with the others. "That sounds good. I take it you want to go then?" The demon smiled cheerfully. "What so I like pink!" Iasc said with a grin and took out a towel drying her hair and body quickly before putting on her pink flowery miniskirt and white t-shirt. She knew that cafes never let you in in just your swimsuit as she had been kicked out many many times before. "Yup! Thats if you don't mind that is" she added, not trying to be rude.

Iasc walked into a coffee shop, "Cafe of Doom" or so the sign read. She was just back from surfing with Kyou still on the beach. The day was dull but pretty, just as she liked it on the beach. She took out her money out of the small skirt she had on over her swimming shorts. She was wearing a very hard, warm hoody over her tankini top. She fumbled for her money. "Um...a mocha latte please" she said handing over the money and getting a very hot, tall cup of coffee. She sat down at a seat for two people by the window, seeing her bike with her surfboard parked outside. She started daydreaming, looking at the grey sky, not noticing the sounds and chatter of the small coffee house. Ellic was people-watching.
He'd been wandering around for a small while, avoiding those who sought to converse with him, and pausing at things that interested at him. In fact, he probably would've walked straight past the coffee shop if Iasc's surfboard hadn't been outside. Still, he'd seen pictures of surfers, and it amazed him. Skimming across the water! It must be... Incredible.
Assuming that the owner of the board was in the shop, Ellic entered, jotting down a note or two onto his small pad of paper before skimming the shop with his light green eyes and seeing... Her. Not that it'd be easy to miss her, with that pink hair. Not that his own was 'normal' He liked her hair. She wore a lot of clothes though.
Still, she was not human; not at all... In fact... There was something familiar about her... Banir Kinder, perhaps...? Approaching slowly, he stopped a respectable distance from her table and flicked his notebook shut.
"Might I introduce myself to you, Miss?" Iasc looked up, almost dropping her coffee, more then a little startled. Normally people tended to ignore her. She looked up, her cheeps red. She was increadably shy. She steadied herself. 'Relax Iasc' she told herself 'be nice, friendly, you might make friends that way' She looked up and smiled. "P-please sit down" she said nervously, pointing him to a seat that was oposite her. "My...my names Iasc" she said smiling, nervously all the same. "What is yours?" "Iasc."
The green-haired boy took his time repeating her name, seeming to taste the word in his mouth, and apparently like it, since the smallest of smiles touched the corner of his usually stoic mouth. Unique, to say the least. Nodding appreciatively at her invitation, he sat at the seat across from her, flicking his gaze over her quickly; memorizing, so he could write it all down in his notebook later.
"I am called Ellic."
Unusually brisk for a nine-year-old, El placed his notebook and pencil beside one another, hands flat on the table, and let his eyes settle on her almost curiously.
"Might I ask if you are of the Banir Kinder? I am of the darker half."
It sounded odd, the way he mentioned he was a demon, but this way, if he was incorrect in his assumption, she probably wouldn't understand what he was saying.
Iasc watched the boy with interest. He seemed, much more intersting then other banirs she had met, which was very few anyway. "Pleased to meet you Ellic." she said smiling, still more then a little nervous about talking to other people. She looked down at the notebook, inquistively.
"Yes, I am a Banir Kinder. And from the darker half aswell" she added pointing to her tail and ears.
Ellic's small smile grew a bit, to something more thoughtful before leaving his dark face blank as he let his hand grip his pencil.
"Ah, the pleasure is mine, Miss Iasc. You are the first of my lineage to have greeted me. I think I would like to know more of you."
She looked quite different from himself but still rather... Appealing; Ellic had to admit as he opened the notebook; glancing up at her with his practically glowing eyes, pencil and hand moving rapidly. A few short seconds later, and a surprisingly accurate sketch was at the very top of the page. Another second and her name was written beneath it, along with gender, apparent height and weight, and race.
Ellic was a collecter. He loved knowledge in any shape and form, and would do a lot to aquire it.
"Please relax, you seem nervous. I will not bite, in fact, I will not even touch you."
Iasc smiled, once again nervously. "Oh no see...its not you exactly...I'm just...well" she said, trying her best to explain. "I get nervous around people in general, they havn't been...very nice to me in the past, lets just say" she muttered but smiled at him. "Oh how rude of me. Would you like something to drink?" she asked him, cupping her coffee in her small, elligent hands.
She found this boy very interesting, he spoke so propperly, almost like someone from a nother time. "You're the first one I've met too. Infact you're the second banir I've met other then my brother that is. Um...do you like swimming?" she asked him smiling, starting to feel a bit more comfortable around the boy.
Ellic was quiet a moment before answering, choosing to analyze his feelings on her comments and questions in his head. He was an honest sort, mainly because lying got you no where, and was rather rude, at that.
"I believe I do enjoy it. Water is a pleasing feeling on one's skin, is it not?"
Now, as to a drink? Ellic was young, and therefore had no favorite drink, rather, he found it far more interesting to find out Iasc's preference in beverage.
"It was no lapse in courtesy; I take no offense. In a coffee shop, it is one's own job to order a beverage, and I did not enter this establishment for such a thing."
His eyes lingered on her face as he speculated on why he had come in. The surfboard. Perhaps she knew something about it?
"I came to meet someone. One who surfs. Their things are outside."
"Oh yes, I love the water" Iasc said nodding happily, taking another sip of her coffee. "Swimmings my favorite thing in the whole wide world, well fish are but I guess I get to see fish while I'm swimming" she laughed lightly, taking more to herself then to him.
"Well the stuff outside is mine..." Iasc said slowely. "The surfboard on the bike I mean" she added, incase there was someone else who surfed. "My surfboards the pink one with different coloured fishies and bubbles on it" she added.
"Why do you like surfing?" she asked. "One cannot say if they enjoy 'surfing' when one has never participated in the sport. However,"
Ellic pushed back his chair quietly and stood, after finishing a small sketch of her surfboard and bike.
"I would like to know more of the activity. Perhaps you can further my education in such matters?"
He smiled again; a small one, but a kind one. He didn't particularly want to stay in the coffee shop, after all, he'd only come in for her. "Um...if you have a swim suit I could teach you how to surf now if you like? The waves are really good at the moment" she said nodding, her hair still wet from when she was doing it earlier.
"Just let my finish up my coffee, if thats okay with you" she added taking another sip of her coffee.
Ellic frowned slightly. bathing suit? No, of course he didn't. Ellic was not modest, because modestly implied that you thought of yourself, which he didn't. He usually went in nude, actually. However, he was aware of the implications of being nude around someone not in your family, and while he didn't particularly care about a reputation, Iasc might.
"I will wear my pants. Take all the time you need, Miss Iasc."
After all, the only other clothing he was wearing at the moment was his tie. Afterall, shirts bothered the green part of his skin, which was overly sensitive. "Are you sure you wont get really cold if your pants are wet?" she asked, confused. She nearly always had her bikini on underneath her clothes. You couldn't call Iasc modest either. Usually she wore short shorts or a mini skirt and just her bikini top but on colder days like this she wore a large hoodie over her bikini. Of course on colder days she would have her wet suit on, which left her bikini bone dry. She wandered around in her bare feet on in the only shoes she owned, an old pair of converse that she had taken from Raving.
"Oh please just call me Iasc" she said smiling, finishing up her coffee. "I find Miss Iasc too...formal!"
She got up quickly, her very short white miniskirt with pink and yellow hawian flowers going up with her revealing lumonous pink bikini bottoms, which matched her pink hair with a tropical fish on the back of them. She looked over to him and smiled. "Ready to go?" she asked.
"I shall be fine, however, I thank you for your concern."
He was ready to go and took another quick step back as she stood, keeping a respectable distance between them as he looked her over with a quick flick of his glowing eyes.
Even Ellic, who wasn't big on looks, had to admit that her outfit was very, very cute and with a face devoid of expression, he told her so. Ellic was the honest sort, and he knew that most sentinent beings liked to be complimented. Although his compliments were odd for his age.
"You look fetching, Mi... I mean, Iasc."
He personally felt more comfortable using "Miss," but it wasn't about HIS comfort at the moment. He would do a lot of things for the sake of information. He'd even put on a shirt in the name of Halloween.
Iasc looked around and blushed, her skin turning the same colour as her hair, and bikini. She smiled "You can call me miss if you want too" she added, starting to walk out the door, gesturing for him to follow her out the door. She walked over to her bike and showed him her surf board. She loved her surf board alot. The pink surfboard matched the colour of her hair and the rest. It had yellow flowers on it which were the same as the ones on her miniskirt.
"Hey can I see your drawings?" she asked him smiling brightly. "I really like art. My mummy does it alot!"
"I am no artist."
He didn't spend hours drawing like Kuoi did, however, his drawings were slightly better than Jani's, which meant they were good indeed. Ellic had quickly learned to draw well because he found they made his research far more useful. The boy had already drawn her bike and surfboard on the same page as he'd been writing on, and handed her the notebook without any modesty.
He glanced around, examining the others walking about on the beach, and tied his longish hair back in a fashion that his slightly older cousin Korist was fond of. It got his hair out of the way, even the braid, which was good if he was to be in the water.
"Miss Iasc... I trust no danger shall come to me in the water?" Iasc looked at the notebook with interest "Wow you're really good" she said flicking through the note book seeing the sketch of her and smiled. "You really are." she looked up at him, confused. She had never though of the ocean as dangerous, she had never thought about it. "You you can swin I wouldn't say so. If you can't swim then well stay in the really shallow part of the ocean. I'll teahc you surfing saftly aswell like to cover your head if you whipe out so that the board wont hit your head and knock you out." Ellic gently took the notebook back and added notes on what to do about wiping out before closing it and removing his tie.
"I am ready for my lesson, Miss Iasc. Shall we continue? Where, perhaps, would be the best place to enter the water and conduct our buisness? I am not as good at swimming as I assume you are, but I have no fear of drowning."
The boy wrapped his tie around his notebook and pencil to make a sort-of parcel and nodded toward the pink-haired girl's bike.
"Might I leave my things here so they aquire no damage?" Iasc smiled and quickly drew a shape of a surf board in the sand. She then drew another one and gestured for Ellic to come and join in. "Well I have to teach you on the sand first, before we go into the water." She stood on the shape and told Ellic to do so. "Um...well next what you do is lie down. This is because its what you'll be doing in the water" She did the same. Ellic was not the most pleased demon in existance when she told him he'd have to lie in the sad. The boy would have, in the name of research, except that he couldn't. The green patch of his skin was far too sensitive for tiny bits of rock and glass, it was one of the reasons he hated to be touched.
"I... Cannot do as you wish... Forgive me, Miss Iasc. I am unable to lie on such a rough surface without extreme pain."
Ellic felt usless now, as if he was worse than normal children since he couldn't play in the sad without getting hurt badly. Iasc was surpriced by this. Ellic didn't seem like the sencitive type. She got up, her tummy now covered in hand. "Um...okay" she said trying to think. She couldn't just let him get into the water without praciticing on land first. It would just be unsafe. She thought for a little while, sitting on the sand with her legs crossed. She jumped up and ran over to her bike, taking the surfboard off. "Here!" she said happily and lay the surfboard down where the shape she drew on the sand was. "Would you be able to lie on it now?" she asked smiling. Ellic looked extremely shocked that she hadn't just gone in the water without him and nodded dumbly before bowing to her.
"Thank you very much, Miss Iasc, you are very kind."
The boy quickly followed her instructions and laid down on the board, only feeling slight discomfort from his torso. "Well I wasn't just going to leave you now was I?" she said giggling and lay down herself. "Now imagion you're in the water. Okay heres a wave coming up so now you turn yourself around and start paddling, paddling hard!" she said doing it herself to show him. "Now you try. I know it looks stupid but you need to practice before you go in the water" "If you say so, Miss Iasc."
Ellic wasn't the type who usually worried about looking stupid. Not in front of people he didn't know, like the others on the beach. Plus, the boy was a fast learner, and very good at mimicing. He did almost the exact same movements as Iasc, the looked toward her to see if she approved. "Very good!" she siad clapping. "Okay thats the easy part. Now once you're on the top of the wave, you'll be able to feel when you are. Then what you do is take your chest of the top, arching your back then what you do is jump onto the board like this" she said jumping up "then you have to bend your knees to say up. If you fall off, cover you're head incase the board hits you okay?" she said, now up on the board. Ellic had moved like that before! When he'd climbed in windows, and jumped out of them with Korist! El loved making connections with things he'd already done, and therefore was very pleased and eager to repeat her movements, which he did with surprising accuracy.
"I think I understand now, Miss Iasc!" "Oh thats really good!" she said clapping . "Ready to go in the water now or would you like a little more practice first?" she asked sitting back down and crossng her legs, her pink swimsuit now covered in sand. He really was a fast learner. It took her ages to learn.
"May we go in now, if possible? I do not have much time here."
Ellic stood and looked at Iasc silently for a while, seeming to debate something in his mind. With a slight nod, he stretched out a hand down to where she sat to help her up. A big step for him. Still, one with manners wouldn't leave another sitting without assistance. Iasc took his hand and got up "Thank you!" she said smiling and took up her surfboard. "Okay theres another surfboard over there and then we'll go into the water. The waves are really good for surfing at the moment" she added picking up her white surfboard with the pink flowers. Ellic picked up the other one, slightly pleased that it matched him; completely black with small lines of green longways down it, the fins were a bright green to match his eyes.
"I'll follow your lead, Miss Iasc."
The boy headed toward the edge of the water, glancing back to watch her.
"Okay then" she said wading into the water. She got in deep enough then lay down on the board and gestured for Ellic to do the same. She saw some waves comign up in the distance. "Okay then lets try get this one okay? Turn around now!" Ellic turned his board, and as the wave came up under it, he stood successfully, only to fall off into the water. Remembering her advice, he covered his head, then came back up, holding onto the board and scowling, shaking his wet green hair from his eyes.
"First attempt: Failure. The second attempt shall commence shortly."
Iasc paddled over "That was really good for a first attempt" she said giggling. "First time I didn't even catch the wave. You really are a natural at this" she laughed. "Up for another shot at it? Just stand a little more in the middle of the board and that will help you keep your balance!"
Ellic tried to ignore the fact that Iasc was laughing at him and scowled, rolling back onto the surfboard and paddling back out. He was determined to catch a wave, if only to prove that he could.
"Yes, I am up for 'another shot'." Iasc giggled as Ellic scowled at him. "I'm only messing" she said smiling and jumped back on her surfboard. "Okay this ones good" she said turning around and easily catching the wave. She watched Ellic, seeing what was wrong with his style. Ellic was so busy watching Iasc, amazed at her grace and ability in the water, to notice the wave behind him until it was too late. The boy was promptly knocked forward, off his board, and into the cold water once more, his pants clinging to his body uncomfortably as he climbed back onto the green and black surfboard, scowling and blowing uselessly at the wet bangs falling into his eyes.
"Miss Iasc, I believe you distracted me."
Paddling back out, he waited for her, and a new wave. He'd get it this time; he knew it. Third time's the charm. "Aww I'm sorry!" Iasc repiled, laughing to herself. "How can I not ditract you then?" she asked paddling back over to him. "Maybe you should close your eyes or something, or I could get out of the water?" she said giggling. She found it funny she distracted him, because she was the kind of person that people saw but didn't really see so she was surpriced that she could really distract anyone. "I see you, that's how you distract me. So, go after me, or something."
Ellic didn't wait for her to get ready for the next wave, catching it on his own and riding through. The boy was so surprised by his success that afterwards, his arms pinwheeled and he fell off the board into the water. Again. Coming up spluttering, he beamed at Iasc.
"I did it!"
Quickly mastering the emotion, he turned it into a slight frown, and climbed back on the surfboard.
"I need to stay on, however." Iasc did what she was told and followed after him, catching the next wave and glinding elegently down beside him. "Well done!" she shouted clapping vigorously. She watch him with intrest. Did he just...smile? Iasc smiled "I think I just saw you smile" she said lauging "You should do that more often, it suits you" she added. She jumped back onto her surfboard and paddled out. "Ready to try again? Just bend your knees a little more this time" she added trying to he helpful. Ellic gave her a scathing glare as he paddled back out, grumbling something about "nosy girls who think they see things they don't," while paying attention to what she told him about bending.
With her instructions in mind, Ell went again and... Stayed on his board. At the end of the ride, he sat on his board and pumped a fist in the air, letting out a whoop of elation. Still, he quickly pulled his arm down as Iasc caught her wave, watching her with a blank expression. She was very, very good. Iasc giggled as Ellic muttered something. She caught words hear and these but altogether found it quite amusing. She had seen him smile and nothing he could say would be able to get rid of it.
She jumped on her board and followed him down, easily staying on the board and clapping as she did so "Well done Ellic! That was perfect!" she shouted as she sat down on her board, coming to a halt by Ellic.
"Forgive me for saying so, but, it was far from perfect, Miss Iasc."
He wasn't near as good as Iasc was, she was close to perfection in the water, and they both knew it. Still, surfing was good fun, and would make for a write-up Korist would probably be interested to read when he got home.
"My cousin, Korist, would probably like to learn from you. It is unfortunate that he's on his way to school soon." "I've said it before. You're very, very good for a beginner" she said smiling. She wasn't lying. Iasc didn't lie. She would never lie, she just didn't see the point. You just got into trouble when you lied. She lay on her tummy on her board, holding her chin in her hands, her tail swishing from side to side.
"What school is he going to?" she asked interested. "Anyway do you like surfing?" she added. "Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."
Ellic recieted before giving her a thoughtful halfsmile.
"I suppose I do indeed, Miss Iasc. I can see why you have a passion for it."
"Witchcraft and Wizardry?" she said, "Wow that sounds like alot of fun. One of my adopted brothers friends can levitate or so hes told me anyway" she said smiling. "I'm very glad you like it, I hope you'll come surfing with me again and maybe you'll get better then I am!" she said laughing slightly
"I highly doubt the possibilities of such a thing occuring."
Ellic started to paddle toward the shore, then realized that Iasc might have thought he was being mean. Shooting her a glance out of his green eyes, he tried a smile.
"What I mean to say, Miss Iasc, is that I doubt that I shall become more skilled, although I should like to see you again." Iasc smiled back, her whole face lighting up as she did so. Her blue eyes reflected the light from the water, they seemed to be turning orange. She sat on her board, watching him before paddling after him. "Well you never know, you're obviously a natural" she said from behind him. "I am simply determined."
Ellic let out his own form of a laugh as they got into the shallows and he walked onto the sand, shivvering reluctantly. Now that they were no longer surfing, he actually was cold, his pants icy and clinging to his legs. His chest wasn't very cold, he was used to walking around topless, but his bottom half was freezing.
"Determination is the first and best was to succeed" she said smiling getting onto the sand herself. She was used to the cold by now. She saw Ellic shiver and gave him a towel that she had with her and shoved her hoodie on over her bikini top. "Do you want to come back to my house for a while?" she asked "Its really close and we can get some hot chocolate and you can borrow some pants aswell" Normally Ellic would have simply taken off his pants at the beach and dried himself, but he'd found that it usually got a strange reaction from the people around him, and Indu had forbidden it. Not that it would stop him, but he was trying to respect Iasc here, and until he knew it wouldn't make her uncomfortable, he wouldn't do it.
Instead, he dried his hair, chest and arms, then wrapped the towel around his waist, holding it in place with one hand and removing his pants with the other. Thinking about her offer, he nodded slowly. In fact, her pants would probably fit him: most of his sister's did, as he'd found out to his horror, his oldest sister Neme liked to dress him as a girl.
"Yes, I would like to go to your home. Thank you for extending the invitation." Iasc dried herself aswell and put on her miniskirt over her bikini bottoms. "If you want you can take a shower when you get to my house. Your floor is heated in the bathroom so its really good to make you warm" she said placing the surf boards on her bike and putting the towels in her bag. "Are you ready?" she asked not meaning to rush him btu she was really cold herself, though she was used to it now, though she usually didn't stay out this late surfing. Normally she started really early in the morning.
"Yes, I am quite ready."
Holding the towel firmly against his waist, Ellic bent and picked up his notebook and tie before following Iasc to wherever she happened to be leading him. It was a good thing she wasn't a kidnapper, because she'd have him in the bag.
Iasc lead the way, her pink bikini bottoms visible every once and a while from under her skirt. If she were older she might be somewhat appealing or a slut depending on who was looking but since she was only 9 she didn't really care. Every once in a while she turned around to make sure Ellic was still behind her, smiling happily at him. Finally she stopped outside a huge townhouse with 13 floors. "Well here we are!" she said getting out her keys. She had a keychain that her brother Sora had given her aswell as a load of other ones. She took the bike around the back and took off her bag. She showed Ellic in "I'm home!!" she shouted. Ellic stood still just inside the doorway, holding the towel at his waist tightly with one hand as he looked around to get his bearings. It was a nice house. He'd watched Iasc part of the walk, noting that she was indeed a highly attractive girl. Still, it wasn't of import, and the boy quickly forgot as he examined her home with almost hungry green eyes. It wasn't near as insane of his own household.
"You have a nice home, Miss Iasc..." Iasc smiled and curtcied a little "Thank you!" she said happily. "The thing I like most about this house has to be that its so close to the beach. That and my room." she added. She waved to a few of the many children and animals that passed. She put her key back in her bag. "Wanna go up to my room and I'll get you a dry pair of pants? Then we can watch a movie or have some hot chocolate or something!" she asked him calling for the elevator as she did so. "Yes, alright, that's very generous of you, Miss Iasc. Might I still take a quick shower? I would like to wash my hair..."
He realized that some would consider the comment feminine, but Ellic simply did not like his longish hair to feel dirty. The boy blinked and peered at the elevator with interest as they entered it, looking around and wishing he could write in his notebook, however, his hands were occupied. "Of course!" Iasc said smiling and pushing the button for the 7th floor. "You can use the big main bathroom for the 7th floor and I'll use my en-suite, if you don't mind that is!" she added laughing and the elevator came to a halt on the seventh floor. The doors opened to reveal a long brightly decorated hallway with numbered doors all along it. Most of them were painted in the owners choice of colours, some of them were just left white and looked like hotel room doors. She got to the 173rd door and fumbled in her bag again, looking for her keys. Her door was pink, the same colour as her hair infact and clashed with the other doors. It seemed that she was the only girl on this floor as the rest of the doors had either Keep out, cuss words or various band names scrawled across them in messy handwriting. Iascs door on the other hand was clean. It was pink with white tropical fish swimming across it. She had a little wooden sign handing from a neatly placed nail which read "Iascs' Room". She finally got out her keys and opened her door to reveal a bedroom which was as pink as the door was. In the corner stood many a surfboard aswell as a large pink princess bed, a ton of stuffed animals, a large bookcase filled with plays, musicals and classic novels, an extremly large tropical fish tank and alot of posters. She threw her bag on the bed and rooted in one of her drawers. "Here you go, these are the only pair of pants I have that arnt pink!" she said cheerfuly throwing them at his feet.
"I do not mind pink."
The demon set his things on her dresser, looking over at her bookshelf before making a small sound of approval. Lifting the pants with one hand, he glanced up at her while straightening.
"You have good taste, Miss Iasc."
Still gripping the towel tightly, he frowned and glanced around the room.
"If you could show me where the other bathroom is...?"
"You have to be the first boy I've met who doesn't mind pink!" Iasc said laughing slightly.
"Oh thank you very much, I really enjoy plays and such. I want to be an actress when I grow up" she explained. "I especially like Shakespears work"
"Oh how rude of me, I'll show you where it is" she walked out of her room and down the hall, showing his a big white door. "Its just in there" she said smiling "There's towels and such to dry off with in there!"

For Iasc and Spiro.)
The halfbreed was sitting by the public pool, legs curled under him, staring out over the water. He was clad now in a pair of black swimmingtrunks and a baggy black shirt, wings poking out of two holes in the back. He rocked back and forth slightly, damp from having gotten out of the pool minutes before. There were few other people around, just some people leaving.
It was nice. It was quiet. And there was water.
He had found out he was a natural at swimming, and since he had become quite partial to it. He let out a happy sigh and leaned back on his hands.
(Sorry for the wait, got dragged off X___x)
((sorry I had to go to bed.))
Iasc swam along the bottom of the pool, her flippers purpelling her further. She could hold her breath under water for over 5 minutes, she had counted. Kyou said that he wasn't going to come with her. He hated swimming, which was understandable. So she came alone, bored with nothing else to do but count how long she could hold her breath. 'This would be much more interesting' she thought 'if there were loads of fishies in the water' but instead all she saw was a couple of rather gross bandaids and a pair of swimming trunks which she suspected fell of the boy who had just canonballed into the water.
She imerged a few minutes later, seeing that the pool was now almost completely diserted save from a young boy, another kinder it seemed from the look of the boy. Iasc watched him for a while. She wasn't very good at introductions, she barely ever talked in the first place. So she treded water looking at the boy curiously.
The boy's feet pulled out from under him and dropped into the water as he stared up at the sky, wings tucked neatly to his back, tail swishing along the surface of the water.. After a few moments of thinking to himself he pushed up slightly, sitting upright and looking back towards the water. His eyes met a girl who was looking over at him.. Erp... What was...? He wasn't used to be stared at. The last time someone had stared at him... Well, he didn't like to think about that. So he dropped it and just lifted a hand to give a little wave. A few years ago he probably would have just looked away, but he really was opening up. Everyone who had known him back then was seeing him change. Seeing the real Spiro. "Um... Hello..."
And then he was staring off at nothing. See? Much better than before. He said hello BEFORE looking away now. Iasc thought for a second before ducking back under the water. 'Stupid Iasc' she thought to herself. 'You could have just waved back, been friendly but instread now he probably doesn't ever like you now!" She submerged again, her cheeks red. Her eyes looked at the boy again and she slowly waved a wetsuit clad hand into the air. Bubbles rose to the surface and she mouthed hello to him. The girl had managed to catch his attention once again after she came back up, and he nodded another greeting at her wave. He then pushed forward, sliding on into the water. Luckily he was in the shallow end- he was still only seven years old, and this pool went pretty deep. He was a good swimmer, but his legs got tired in the deepest end. He went a bit deeper, until his eyes were just above water and blew bubbles for a few seconds. Then he lifted himself as tall as he could so as to speak with her, "U-um... It got really quiet really fast, huh..?" Yes, make small talk. Iasc watched the boy with her eyes untill he came over to her. "Um...yeah it did. Why are you here?" she asked trying to think of something to say. She wasn't very good at thinking of things to say or even talking to people in general but she told herself since he bothered to come over she should atleast be nice. The halfbreed shrugged slightly, "I like the water." He let his eyes slide to a close, "We don't have a pool near where I live... So I barely ever get to swim, but I like it... It's nice." The only other water he had been in as of late was the swamp water... And that wasn't quite as relaxing or fun to swim in. It had lots of frogs, though! As a matter of fact, he had picked up a frog friend from there. The creature was in his messenger bag with Alexei, over by one of the pool chairs. "Yes I like water too! I love fishies though, they're really interesting and nice. Some fish in this pool would make it really really interestin" she said smiling. She liked that this boy liked water almost as much as she did. She treded water, her flippers moving easily. "Have you ever been surfing in the sea?" she asked him thinking. It was one of her favorite passtimes of all time.
The boy nodded slightly, "I like fish too.. But I dunno if they'd like being around all of these people.." All of the fish he had seen seemed kind of skiddish and frightened around people... But he had really only seen wild fish. He wriggled his toes, which were just touching the bottom. Just a little bit. "I've never really -been- in the ocean... I've been in rivers and stuff." He blew some more bubbles. "If there were fewer people here I bet the fishies would have alot of fun!" Iasc said laughing brightly. "You've never been to the ocean? Seriously?" she asked, still quietly. "I love the ocean. We live quite near one, close enough that I can cycle there so i go all the time. My mummy even bought me a surfboard because she said I was good enough. Maybe you could come sometime?"
Spiro nodded thoughtfully, "Probably.. Too many people'd scare them.." He wriggled his toes in the water, and then began to kick back and forth with his legs in lazy strokes. "Well, I was at the beach once when I was little, but.. We didn't go in the water. We just cleaned stuff up." He shrugged slightly, and then perked a bit, "Really, you'd take me with you?" His brows arched some. "I'd... I'd like that." "Yeah!" Iasc said nodding happily, treading water slowley. "It woudl be great to have someone to swim with. I could teach you how to surf if you like? It's quite easy to learn" she giggled. "I'm sure you'd be really good at it!" The boy seemed to brighten, even though he didn't smile- "Really...?" He couldn't help asking before he gave a hasty nod, "Yeah... That'd be great..." He loved learning new things- especially things dubbed "fun" by other kids. It was a big part of his goal to increase his social skills and all of that. He blinked once or twice... He'd be good? Really? "You think... I'd be good?" A hint of a smile played across his lips. He wasn't good at a lot of things, but maybe he could be good at this. He ran water through his fingers. "Yeah!" Iasc said nodding vigeriously, still treading water. "As long as people can swim they're usually good enough at surfing. Plus I'd be able to teach you everything I know, which isn't that much!" she added. "When do you want to go?"
And then the boy's wings spread out behind and slightly to the side of him at the top of the water. He used them as sort of flotation devices by capturing some air between them and the water. He didn't have to focus so much on keeping himself afloat. His eyes lit up slightly, although his expression was back to a neutral one. He was kinda excited. "That'd be great... Um..." He darkened for a moment as he tried to think up a time before giving a shrug, "Umn, well... I... I don't know... I guess any time is okay... I don't really have anything to, um... Do, or go to... Except school, of course, but.." Iasc giggled and smiled. "Um..how about after school tomorrow?" she asked. "If you wear your swimming trunks under your uniform? Thats what I always do and I'll bring two surfboards" she added. "Then I'll teach you how to surf. Its really easy" she said still treading water. Spiro looked to her curiously before nodding, "Okay.. That sounds good." He thought to himself for a moment or so before throwing in a, "Thanks." More thinking... "It is..? Hm... Are there lots of people there too? And... Any fish?" Normally at beaches with more people there would be less fish- atleast, that's how he rationalized it. And he would rather the fish over the people.
"We could go on a really dull day" she said smiling, thinking to herself. "There would be fewer people there, or we could go when its raining, theres both very few fish there and pretty much no one there and since you'll be getting wet anyway it wont really matter" she added smiling. She didn't like going to the beach when there were lots of people there. ((Finished RP with Freize))
