Tis the season for gift giving, a sense of celebration as the year comes to an end. You get all the gifts you expect, and give some out as well. However, a strange, unmarked gift has arrived. You have no idea who sent it, or what it might be. Is it something from an admirer, or possibly a bit more sinister?
[ Your character receives an unexpected gift. Feel free to answer this prompt exploring the thoughts around such thing, the suspicion or confusion, maybe even resolving it with finding out who the gift giver was. Maybe it's someone you know, but it's a surprise. Maybe it's a mistake. The only way to find out is to open the present. ]

Elias 1 The day had only just begun and Elias had already swam five laps in the ocean. Keeping the large manor in his sights, he had used it as a landmark to know when to turn. If he didn't, he was sure he'd have kept going, getting himself lost out to sea or something. He knew it was bad for him to do that, but he really couldn't help himself. When he got really into his exercises, the young hybrid blocked out everything else around him. Nothing short of a sea creature biting his leg or bumping into him could break it. Both of which had happened. He'd even rammed his head into a passing boat, startling the matori men inside it.
At least they hadn't reported him to his mother. They'd been very kind about it, in fact. Even offering him a little ride. He had declined. Taking strangers into your boat was a little bit on the weird side, if you asked him.
Looking up at the sun, Elias assumed it to still be fairly early in the morning. His mother was probably still in her room. She'd be none the wiser that he'd come out here before eating. So long as he returned right this instant. She might be suspicious of his wet hair, but it wouldn't be the first time he'd wet his hair to stay cool in the Matori heat.
But as he approached the house, a figure stood up near the front porch, looked at him, and than disappeared down the path and around the side of the waterfall before he had a chance to process who it was. Not anyone he had seen before. He might have followed them had he not already been kind of starving at this point. He'd already stretched his body to its limit.
Shrugging, he put the whole thing out of his mind. Until he got closer and noticed a package on the step, covered in strange paper. There was no address on it. Was it a mistake? Elias was afraid to touch it.

Now that he was getting older, Eamon was more prone to taking the mornings to do little exercises around the house where he could. He was inspired by his oldest brother who seemed to enjoy training and Eamon could only hope to be as strong as Elias one day. Even now the youngling was moving up and down the stairs while no one was looking to get some steps in. It was his best bet since he couldn't go too far away from the manor just yet, at least he didn't want to worry anyone by doing so since he knew his parents wanted him to wait a bit longer before venturing out too far on his own. Eamon had actually been coming back down the stairs when he heard something thud against the front porch, the noise prompting him to go towards the door instead of back upstairs. Even if it was dangerous the boy felt like he should investigate - just in case it was something more serious that needed immediate attention.
Eamon quietly and very carefully cracked the door open to just take a peek before letting out a soft sigh of relief. It was just his brother! "Did you drop something?" He asked, looking down towards the package that was on the porch now that he had opened the door more. "Need help?"
[Eamon 1]
