CHILDHOOD Malachi was born to Athanasius, a vampire, and a muggle woman. He has no memory of his mother, as she had died shortly after his birth. Instead, he'd been raised by his father, who was cruel and sadistic. As he got old enough, his father sent him off to do his bidding, a series of tasks that Malachi came to despise greatly. He was also introduced to his siblings, though he never grew close to them, as their father made sure that they were pitted against each other.
It all came to a head one day when Malachi couldn't take it anymore. As a result, while his father and siblings slept, he stole out and made his way as far as he could from his former home. He was afraid that should he be caught, he'd be severely punished for running, and thus always was looking over his shoulder, expecting the shadow of his sire to be on him at any moment. As luck would have it, someone else found him instead. One of the school governors managed to find him and give him his letter, and Malachi seized the opportunity in an instant. He knew that by learning magic, he'd have an edge against the man who raised him, and with luck, Malachi would be able to deal with him once and for all.

- ◊ FIRST YEAR First year wasn't so bad for Malachi. He got sorted into Slytherin, but despite this, he was wary of getting to know his housemates. As a result, he didn't really make friends the whole year, instead trying to gauge how people were. After all, people were surprisingly much different from his family, after all.
