Here we come to the Gladitorium---er, Quidditch Pitch, where the stands are decorated in the colours of the four Houses, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Inside is an Obstacle Course for those wishing to try their luck, with success earning one points to be redeemed for Raffle tickets.
Also, there are higher end broomsticks by manufacturers Nimbus, Firebolt and Quinlan, available for test flights. If you’ve ever wanted to sample what it is to fly really fast and experience some of what your favourite Quidditch players, here’s your chance.
Finally, a number of professional Quidditch players have kindly donated their time to be here to sign autographs, take pictures, and raffle off cool team merchandise. All proceeds benefit Hogwarts Quidditch.
**Rules for the Obstacle Course Challenge: roll 3d20, of your 3 dice, one must be 10+ for the first waypoint, 13+ for the second, and 16+ for the third and final stop. Order doesn't matter. If you get 1/3, it's 10 points, 2/3 is 25 points, and a successful run will net 50 points. These points can be used for the raffles (5 points = 1 entry) or a photo/autograph from the pros (25 points each)
The Raffle: 3 prizes will be given - a Quinlan Brooms Model Q 2.3 racing broom, a full set of gear for any position, and a gift certificate for Spintwitches Athletic Supply in Hogsmeade. To participate, you may either cash in points earned in the course OR purchase tickets. All you have to do is add your name, which raffle you wish to enter, and how many tickets you're collecting. At the end, a random number generator will be rolled and prizes can be collected. Tickets cost 5S each, or 5 for 1G.

Csuri had planned entirely on spending the full weekend of the school's carnival staying in her room. Her roommates had all been talking about how much fun they were planning on having. Of course, when the day came, one of the girls had come down with a gross cold and had to stay inside. After about two hours of being called "Curry" and hearing disgusting sneezes, Csuri finally dressed and hurried outside. The captains and such had been "invited" to help with the Quidditch event anyway, so maybe that'd be a distraction. It definitely couldn't hurt to try and win a new broom either...
Once outside, Csuri tied her messy curls up in a scrunchy and walked toward the pitch. This season hadn't gone as well as last season, yet was still infinitely better than her first. Once out on the pitch, she looked around, taking a moment to examine the newest brooms from all the designers. It was dang near a pipe dream, given the giant price tags, but man, it'd be super cool. There was a chance to win the new Quinlan Model 2.3, which would be a big upgrade from her old Nimbus.... Maybe she could try it out? She'd need her wallet though, which, she realized, must still be inside. Dang. For now, she'd just wander.

Vikram didn't really care too much about the Carnivale at the end of the school year; it was kind of hard for his club to participate and he wasn't much interested in the other activities. But when he heard that there was an obstacle course, that piqued his interest. He did his usual morning routine of a run around the school grounds, followed by a brief swim in the lake. Thankfully the weather was nice enough to grant him the ability to swim. After showering, he dressed in relaxed athletic fit and headed down to check out the course. The teen noticed Csuri hanging around the course checking out the broom displays. He wondered if she was shopping for a new broom or just looking around. Idly, he wished she'd watch him as he made a run for the course and maybe, just maybe, she'd be impressed by his physical prowess. Finding the start of the course, Vikram stretched out, then gave a nod to the chap at the start that he was ready to compete.

Csuri stepped to the side a bit to talk to the some of the broom designers, finding a kinship between herself and the Quinlan Brooms designer, Aeryn. The exact second the redhead gave someone a sidelong glance of disdain followed by an eye roll... well, they had to have something in common. After getting permission to test the newest of her brooms, Csuri stepped to the mark. In the air and all alone, it was hard to hide the subtle grin on her face. When the whistle sounded, the girl took off, only half caring about the actual goals. Her main care was just to fly way faster than her old Nimbus could handle.

The second that Declan mentioned that they wouldn't have to pay to do the flying game thing, Seb squeaked with excitement. As they started walking, Declan added that she had a few sickles as well. So there was enough to put in for at least a ticket on its own as well. Seb sent over a big grin as he took Deccy's hand and hurried along to the pitch. "So here, we get to try out some of the new brooms. A-and I was reading Quidditch Quarterly, 'cause one of my roommates left his copy and let me have it, and they said the Q 2.3 is the best on the market for Seekers. I'm not sure which market, but like. I really wanna try it."
Seb hurried over to the main table, squinting at the instructions, before scribbling his name on the sheet. "Are you gonna watch me? Watch me fly on this super fancy broom? It's probably more expensive than my entire flat!" He laughed as he was handed the broom, green eyes wide with excitement. Kicking off, Seb took to the sky. Holy crow, this was the coolest thing ever! Starting at the line, Seb took off in a sprint, hoping to score higher times than anyone else and maybe, just maybe, win some nice tickets too.
