“Sorry darling, I just… felt like I was falling and with how it already feels like water.” He shivered a bit just thinking about it, remembering that icy plunge he’d taken in winter. It hadn’t been fun, that whole night hadn’t been. “I am glad that you look out for me though.”
Sitting back up, he looked at the crystal, turning it over in his hands and thinking about the possibilities. “I think I want to wait but…” Running his hand over the ground, he noticed that even though it was white it still felt like dirt. “Maybe we could bring our own plants here? Oh I wonder…. If we brought a fruit tree sapling and used a green crystal, would it grow enough to have fruit quickly? I wonder if it would still taste good…”
Setting the crystal down carefully because he didn’t want to have it open on its own, if that was even possible, he pulled out a notebook and pen from his breast pocket. It was a new one he’d gotten specifically for these trips. Setting it down on the ground he started writing a small key down on the first page for reference. Squinting to look farther ahead, he thought he saw something small but it was hard to tell if it was a trick of the light. “I think we should be patient, gather up a bunch of them and think of what kind of possibilities might pop up? In the meantime we could see about bringing things here maybe? Something to sit on and maybe some plants if you want?”
Scooting over so his side was pressed to theirs, he leaned his head on them. “It is very peaceful here though, I am glad you decided to claim a little space for yourself.” Maybe he might be a bit more excited with the endless possibilities, all things that fueled his curiosity more, but he was glad nonetheless that his partner had something to work on that didn’t seem as volatile as his own work could be.

“I had a feeling that might be the issue when you reacted.” Because he was certain he would react in a similar manner, which would have made mirror walking for him very difficult, he was just glad the other didn’t have issues every time they mirror walked and it was just this time.
“I’m not sure actually…we can try and see what happens. We might need some more dirty, so another stone for it, but I’m sure we can manage to try the idea dns ee if it works. Maybe, due to magic, the fruit would taste better though without bees and other things to pollinate I wonder…” Because didn’t that add, or at least help in fruit production and in flavor? He didn’t know alot about that, though both he and Chalcanthite knew someone who did.
“I think we’d be good to bring a chair, or two, and a blanket here and maybe a pillow or two. We could get away with that I think.” He didn’t think mirrorscape would move things, since it didn’t seem to undo what others did to their realms, he had a feeling that anything on their realms would be safe and untouched and that included objects. “Plants we can try as well, though I don’t know if they’ll survive…we might need a water source as well before we bring plants - just to be safe.” In case they needed a water source instead, since they weren’t created by crystals. He wanted to give the most chance to the plants they’d be bringing here.

Nodding as he leaned on them and took some more notes on things, he started to make a list of what might be good to bring next time. “It could be a nice thing to do, coming here after you spend time with me while I work on orders. Something we could do once a week maybe? At least during summer then we can figure things out after I get my schedule for the university.”
Stretching his legs out in front of himself, he closed the notebook and wrapped an arm around them. “Guess we need to keep an eye out for more crystals so we can get things figured out? Also… maybe getting me used to that last mirror. I wonder if I felt like I was falling because it was on the floor?” It was the only thing he could guess given that wasn’t his method of transportation.
“I think we can find a nice picnic blanket to set down so that the dirt keeps off us then we can have another blanket or pillows on top of that until we find grass crystals?” Normally the outdoors wasn’t his thing but he wouldn’t mind laying here with them because there wasn’t a sun to burn his skin. Pulling them a bit to lay down with him, he stretched and rested his head on their chest.
“I think this will be another nice place to spend time, even if it takes some time to set up. We need to be careful telling Benitoite though, he might try to figure out how to get an entire apple tree or something through a mirror.” It was evident the blonde general could go overboard when it came to plants from how his manor had rotating flowers with each passing season now.

“I like that idea, perhaps we can add in dinner out once a week or every other week” Liam was hoping that they could go out for dinner more often, not that he didn’t like the peaceful dinners at home, because he liked trying new places to eat in the city and he liked not always having to cook and clean up. It wasn’t that he did all the cooking and cleaning of dishes, certainly not, but he meant that he’d rather leave those things to professionals once in a while.
“Likely that was why it felt like falling, since you were dropping into it’s surface…so you were in a way falling.” It made sense, really it did, and he understood why it had bothered his partner so much. “But if we keep coming here you’ll get used to it and trust in it a bit more.” Wrapping an arm around the other as he laid his head on the generals shoulder.
Landing on the ground he found the other's head on his chest and his fingers weaved themselves into the other's hair gently. “Mmm, your blond friend does have a thing for plants. He might try a single tree - the first time. He might try and drag in several trees the next time.” A whole grove perhaps. He didn’t mind the blond, once they were calm and sensible, but they had a thing for plants and it was…worrisome perhaps? It certainly seemed he had a bit of an obsession with plants. “He’d take it as a challenge I think…” Though Liam did like all the plants that rotated in and out of the manor’s property now - it was nice to see the changing of plants and colors…it was all fitting and pretty. Thankfully the family gardener had help now, because he certainly needed it, but the old man did seem to love the new things coming and going as well.

“I think we can manage that, though you know who might tag along if she knows about our plans. I could see her inviting herself though things seem less tense now, so maybe it might not be a bad thing.” It also meant that maybe some more conversation could happen and things could get figured out about redividing finances and responsibilities now that he was able to handle things better with Liam here.
“I will try, if anything I trust you more than the mirrors. It may take some time but I will try not to shout again.” It wasn’t a guarantee but he’d make an effort now that he was aware of that last one. Getting comfortable as they played with his hair, he found himself laughing a bit at the idea of Benitoite trying to manhandle plants through a mirror. “Maybe I can spin it as an idea to have small potted plants for my office at the university. I have heard mint can grow rapidly if left to its own devices. It would bring a nice smell and could be used for tea I think.”
Laying there with them, he felt relieved that nothing was here that would bite or attack either of them. It was a refreshing change he’d rarely had while powered up. “I am glad you decided to do this, I really am. I already am looking forward to our next visit here.” Leaning his head up a bit to look at them, he smiled as he hugged them a bit tighter for a moment. Maybe he’d get to relax here just like he was able to at home sometimes, giving him a bit more rest to combat the constant fatigue he’d been fighting off since the end of the semester. A nice break where he could get some actual rest while still feeling like he was doing something, building something, and not just sitting around idly.
