Xylia had been wandering the docks, checking for any signs of smugglers when the storm hit. It was already dark because there was barely any moon at the moment and she had missed the disappearance of the stars while investigating. Now she was stuck on the outskirts of the city, the streets being flooded by heavy rains, and the hybrid was at a loss of where to seek shelter. Did she try one of the empty warehouses? There was no way that she could make it back to her inn room in this mess, the booming thunder and flashes of lightning made certain of that. "Dammit." She cursed softly under her breath before turning away from the docks and starting forward, trying to find shelter in whatever alley that she could.

Another day and another night. Valek yawned as he walked along the top of some buildings, the man scooping out the area for anything interesting. There was supposed to be a relay tonight, but he had the feeling it would be delayed thanks to the approaching storm. It was obvious to him, the stickiness in the air and the darker sky marking the beginning of something huge. And yet here he was still wandering out in the dark, just in case. "Oh well. At least it'll be fun to play in the rain." Maybe he could carry another maiden to safety again. The very thought brought a chuckle from his lips until he did see a figure moving through the streets as the rain started, Valek deciding to pursue her.
And as the rains grew heavier, the hybrid reached out to tug Moon along with him towards a warehouse where he knew they could take shelter. "This way." He called out, not even waiting for her approval before guiding them along. She could stab him later, just when they weren't both about to drown in a flash flood.
