Solo or RP Format Counts as 5 RP growth Points Solo word minimum is 750, RP post minimum is 7
Spring storms can often appear with out little notice and last for days. They are filled with strong winds and heavy rain, which means one must halt their travel if they are able to even get outside during the downpour. Your character has found themself stuck away from home in an area with others seeking to avoid the storm. Who do they meet? What do they talk about? How do they feel about the storm?
[ A storm has resulted in your character finding themself stuck in a location with others. Who do they encounter? What conversation do they have? And how do they feel about the strong storm rolling through? ]

Onora wrestled her top further up her chest to settle it in the appropriate spot before flipping her hair over her shoulder and smirking at the man she was quickly approaching on the dock.
Theriar had invited her out on the boat today, a day to be together and not worry about responsibilities. She was more than ready for it, and excited to spend the day with Theriar. "Hey there, Sugar." She announced her coming. He had his back turned to her, no doubt doing something important with the boat. Not that she knew the front from tail end of the thing.

Theriar 1 He was just about ready to cast off for whatever time she got to the docks. It was a beautiful day, warm and for all appearances well weathered. Though he had seen a few of the weather mage types whispering concernedly but no word came that any storm would come. Perhaps it was a different issue they spoke of. It looked like a great sailing day to him. He smiled as he heard the familiar and adored greeting. Turning he walked up to her to stare happily into her eyes, "Onora," he held his hand out to offer her help onto the ship. "Your carriage awaits." As always she looked lovely and brought that pizzaz and spice of life that only belonged to Onora. "I think todays date is best served at sea with a good sunset."

Onora raised an eyebrow in piqued interest at Theriar. Their day would be magnificent if their previous date was any indicator.
Onora had been working too hard lately; she had been very very recently putting together the idea for her own establishment, someplace where dirt tired travelers could come and get a bit of grub and maybe a place to crash. She hoped that with a little bit of elbow grease and some matori charm she could make it something special. But her brain was fried, and a good day out without even the thought of land sounded like just something she could use. She grabbed Theriar's hand and gave it a little squeeze while she stepped over the edge of the dock and onto the ship.
"Thanks, Honey-Bun. I feel like you're probably absolutely right. And what a good day to do it, too, huh?" she offered out to Theriar. She threw the wild mess of braids of hers behind herself and took a look around at Theriar's fishing boat. "I have never been on one of these things, so you tell me where you need me to be, okay?" She trusted that Theriar would look out for her.

"Your job isn't too hard, be my lucky charm and look beautiful, there is an area over there were you can see everything, including what I am up to if that pleases you." He winked. "Other then that if I need a bit of help with something I will instruct you and show you. But I dont' anticipate too much fuss." His boat was a good size but manageble for one person. "Yes it seems like a great day to be out! I do have a cool little place I have been meaning to show you." He took her hand and helped her aboard the boat. She was so beautiful, gilded by the hot Matorian sun that he lost his breath for a moment, grateful that she was coming out with him today. She was his everything. Her vibrant upbeat nature and wicked cooking spoon ways had caught him the first time he had been invited to her home to eat. It had felt like a home and she was the coolest person he knew and he knew many people. "Onora I ..."

Onora shot Theriar a wicked smirk at his words. Watching him would be no problem at all. When he started up again, this time letting the sentence slide away from him, Onora tilted her head, her lips pursed in confusion.
”Was there something you wanted to say?” She cooed out, her voice drifting over the gentle swells of the water around them.
She wasn’t sure if she should be worried or not, it wasn’t usual for Theriar to be caught up in his words. Onora wasn’t entirely convince he didn’t have something bad to say.

Theriar 3 His heart raced swiftly, every time previous that he had gotten this close in a relationship to admitting what he was about to admit something went wrong like his partner mysteriously going missing and he didn't know what he would do if something similar happened to Onora but he was also sure his worries were mostly superstition...he was a fisherman after all, one foot in the real world and one on an ethereal plane full of sharks and monsters as per normal. "I uh, well, this is hard to say, and I know we have a big storm barreling down on us but part of the reason I asked if you wanted to come today was to bring up a pretty big topic. I am no spring chicken, and I have never loved anyone more in my life than you.. so would you consider starting a family with me?" He felt like he had a huge fish on the other end of the line, a legendary fish, but she was so much more important to him than every catch he had ever had combined, she was home, she was comfort, she was spontaniety and joy and and and .... ugh.

Onora felt something in her stomach somersault. She didn’t know what to say, and to be at a loss for words was something new altogether for Onora. She felt like the seconds were at a standstill as she looked at Theriar with large eyes and a probably stupidly open mouth.
When she felt like she could catch her breath again, she let out a sharp exhale and bounded from her spot on the deck of the ship and into Theriar’s arms; she felt like she had nearly rocked the boat to a tipping point. ”Theriar, well, I just don’t know what to say. Besides YES. Of course!” She was nearly screaming at him, she felt so silly to be so emotional. She didn’t think that this was in the cards for her, not after her childhood and her own missing family. She just never imagined that she would be making her own family.
As if on cue, the rain started down in a light sprinkling.

Theriar 4 He felt prickly all over, and like he was a darn teenager again. It had been a long time since his heart had fluttered like a butterfly. He tried to remember to breath but not many things had ever meant this much to him. He caught her as she launched at him and he felt his eyes prickle with tears, at least she hadn't pushed him overboard! This was a better reaction than he could have hoped for. He loved that she was so exuberant with her yell. He needed that yell, it brought him back to where he stood on the ship with the woman of his dreams held within his arms. "I'm so glad, I just I...thank you." He squeezed her hard, forgetting the rain but vaguely feeling it patter on his arms. "I think it best if we steer a bit toward shore." He said but didn't move, he was so reluctant to let her go that perhaps he stood there for previous moments that he maybe shouldn't have. Well at least in regards to the storm, he would forever stand with her. The rain fell harder and the wind started up. The thunderhead had turned a vicious shade of black. "We are in some trouble I think. But I don't care, I will get us through this storm." He had to let her go then and took the wheel. The wind continued to worsen and soon he was fighting the ship to keep her pointing into the waves. "Be prepared to jump, we are close enough to shore and this isn't the largest fishing vessel. She was sleep and powerful but he had seen larger ships ripped in half.

Onora shuddered as the cold water pelted her skin. Her hair was plastered to her face and body and she felt like the icy chill had settled deep down to her bones. She gripped whatever she could of the ship with white knuckles as Theriar sailed them ever closer to shore.
The waves were vicious, crashing into the boat and rocking it without mercy. Her stomach lurched with every pitch of the vessel and her face showed her worry. She trusted Theriar but jumping overboard was not something she felt very strongly about.
"Will we make it though?" She worried aloud to Theriar. If they jumped ship there was always the chance of riptides and rogue waves. "Stay with me please." She begged of Theriar. If they jumped, she needed to be able to see him to help her make it to shore.
Another violent crash of the waves pitched the ship and Onora lost her grip on the railing, sending her hurdling to the other side of the deck.

"I have studied the charts so much that I know that this particular place doesn't have rip tides, though the surf will be rough, the problem is if we stay with the ship and she does go down, if the water is deep enough it will take us with it. There is a sort of drag when something big like this sinks. I can always build another ship, I cannot build another you." He took her hand. "I promise it will be okay. We are going to make it." He would make it so, he would make her survive even if it cost him. But they were both decent swimmers and he had gotten them as close to shore as he could manage. Still the waters were rough waves on waves, but there was no reef for them to slam into, just a nice shimmy up the shallows to the beach after they dealt with the slightly deeper area that held the ship. "I'll stay with you always Onora." He hugged her close burried his face in her hair and inhaled. "Lets go." With that he leapt overboard. The water was rough but at least it wasn't freezing cold. There was no debris yet to bonk into and he had prepared the ship as best he could. She would ride it out at anchor or she would be an anchor. Irregardless his passenger was too important to him to risk disaster by staying. Besides the storm could get so bad that swimming wouldn't be an option and he wanted to make landfall before such a thing occured. The storm for all it was worth didn't look like it would peter out for a very long time. He turned and waved encouragingly to Onora. "Come on! Its not too bad." It wasn't great but it wasn't horrid either. He would stay beside her the whole way.

Onora watched Theriar jump over the edge, plunging into the water and disappearing below before breaking the surface again. She sucked in a sharp inhale, looking down at the deck and behind her to the rest of the vessel before she creased her eyes shut and followed suit.
The water was cold and the waves from the storm threatened to drag her further away from where she thought Theriar was still in the water. Her head broke the surface and she she wiped the salty water off of her face, pushing her limbs to join herself to Theriar again. "Let's get out of here before something happens to us." She treaded water, pushing herself along the waves and current toward where Theriar led her back to shore. She hadn't thought she was going for a swim today, but fortune hadn't been on their side.

Theriar 6 He most heartily agreed and staying close to her he set out for shore, thankfully though the water was rough they were able to make it to shore easily enough, but the wind ravaged them and rain fell without compunction. "There has to be some sort of shelter around here somewhere!" He yelled to be heard over the wind. He took her hand and they searched together, it was somewhat hard to see. Through the rain he could barely make out a rounded tall shape on the beach. "Onora I think thats a derelict ship there! Maybe it will be enough to give us some shelter!" Upon inspection it was a large merchent vessel that had keeled over on its side on the beach. It was accessable through its regular cabin door though there was a hole in the hull that explained its presence hear, they would be able to get out of the hole if there was an emergency but most importantly most of the interior was dry. It didn't look like it was going to fall apart at any moment which pointed to it being a slightly younger wreck. "The reef can be a bit picky with the deeper keels. Its safe, we can go inside."

Onora held Theriar's hand tight as they boarded the abandoned ship. It was in tough shape, and the air was a strange combination of musty and salty, but it would do.
She heaved a sigh of relief when the rain finally stopped pelting her, the both of them safe in the ship's interior.
"Hopefully the storm passes soon, I would hate for it to get much worse than this." She leaned against Theriar, settling herself in for the remainder of the storm.

He was happy that they were not on the coast of a more northern sea. It was chilly enough as it was with the storm and the wind. He wrapped his arm around Onora trying to share his heat. He wished they had a blanket. "Its not exactly luxury is it?" He held her close and rubbed her arm. "Maybe I can find some old sailcloth for a blanket. Let me look." He stooped. This ship had been more for the size of Onora's people than his. His feelers brushed the ceiling. "This ship isn't quite as old as I thought." He fished out some sail cloth and heard something thunk to the deck. "Well would you look at that." A raw emerald presumably stashed there by a sailor at some point, probably plunder. He wrapped her in the sail cloth. He snuggled up to her so he could be wrapped too. The more heat the better. "Look what I found for you. Its not a warm fire but its shiny. Maybe you could get something made with it if you like, or we could put it on the mantle." The storm shoved at the frame. "I'm glad my ship doesn't creak this much. I hope the storm doesn't last much longer. I think we both deserve a nice hot meal."
