Ir was a beautiful day. There'd been a long string if then lately. Not too hot, not too much sun, a few puffy white clouds to make just enough shade. A soft breeze. They were exactly the kind of days Diego liked most.

He'd decided to go for a leisurely lap around the lands, stretchin both his legs abd wings at once. Once he'd gotten off the ground though, he'd caught a strong updraft that sent hin spiraling higher than he meant to go. It was thrilling and made his heart race. He laughed as he dove out if it, then circled back and let it catch him again, tossing him upward like a very oddly decorated leaf.

That spurred him into more aerial acrobatics, loops and barrel rolls and dramatic dives toward the ground. He started another, tucking his wings close against his sides so he would plummet even faster, dropping like a b oulder from the clouds above.

He hadn't noticed the mare, in all his wheeling and whirling, so he hadn't chosen a better spot to land. As the speck she'd been grew larger abd he realized thar a crash was almost unavoidable, he shouted out, "Incoming!" and snapped his wings out sharply, wide enough to act like emergency brakes. As a result, he managed not to bowl the poor mare over, but merely landed hard, skidding on his hooves a littke so he *nudged* her. Just a nudge, with a wing lifted. over her back and out of the way.

Once he'd stopped for certain, he cleared his throat and tried a smile instead. "Hi."
