Shingen Maeda

After Zenith explained the way the dragons were involved, it helped ease him into thinking that they didn’t need to be dealt with just yet. Although, the fact that they were in Barcelona looking for Mephitis meant they had a head start on the BoM as far as intelligence. Perhaps he could offer them to his superiors, blaming them for Sandelli’s and why Mephitis escaped. Nodding in understanding, Shingen was relieved to have had Zenith be so forthcoming. It looked as if they would truly move forward jointly although that also meant Shingen was more alone now than ever. Everything he had worked to gain and every drop of blood drawn in a good cause now came into question, doubt creeping into everything he’d done.

Once Zenith had opened a portal, with that cursed blade no less, Shingen stepped to it’s surface. The vorpal capabilities of the golem were more than considerable but then it was funny to think that it was Shingen’s own ability to seal while it was Zenith’s to open. It seemed he would get his opportunity to see the others again. A note of gratitude from Zenith as Shingen stepped towards the breach, prompting him to stop. Turning his head, Shingen grinned. “I guess this makes us even, then.” He referred to that day at the museum before his body disappeared through the veil.
