Enhanced Physical Condition
As a Demi-god, Jun is stronger, faster, heals quickly and is more durable than a human. On average, about three times as much.
Invisibility:
As the son of Jiutian Xuannu, he has inherited the ability to render himself invisible.
Shapeshifting:
Jun can change his shape to a humanoid of medium or smaller build. Excludes animals/nonhumanoids.
Qi Obsession Manipulation:
Under the demesne of his mother and the undue influence of his father, his brand of lust feeds into feeling and understanding others obsessions and has the ability to elicit a more powerful reaction to it.
*Caveats:*
- He cannot instill a new obsession within someone, only enhance a pre-existing one.
- OOC: As with any power that requires someone to consent, uses of this will be discussed with the players in question before any posts are made.
Infusion of weapons (Qi Infusion):
Can infuse Qi into his weapons making them three times more powerful than a mundane weapon.
- Caveat: Can only do so three times a day without meditating or sleeping.
Sexual Qi Absorption (Ability but also a Weakness)
Jun requires sexual partners to regain energy to fuel his divine abilities. Once sexual energy is consumed, the sexual partner is left satisfied but spent. This would apply differently to the divinely powered.
-Caveat: A whole night fuels Jun for a week.

Jun was born to Chinese Goddess Jiutian Xuannu, “The Mysterious Lady of the Nine Heavens,” of sex, warfare and longevity and to a Yaoguai father named Hou Ming Hao. Ming Hao was once an unpopular minor god of the Chinese Celestial Realms, but was cast out by the Jade Emperor for actions against the Dictates of the Celestial Realms, causing him to revert into a Yaoguai with a devastating hunger to regain lost power.
Even as a minor god, Ming Hao was considered by many to be so cold and calculating that he lacked a general morale code, thus his deficiencies and fall from divine power let him down the path of the Yaoguai. Yaoguai are monsters or strange creatures that break off into varying species with differing abilities. In his case, Ming Hao is a shape-shifting fairy with the ability to savagely manipulate others through illusions, magic and mental manipulations. Suffering from an overabundance of obsession himself, Ming Hao seemingly passes on this flaw to his son Jun.
Jun’s mother, Xuannu, originally pleased with the birth of her son, despite the father, would be forced to send him away to be raised by Ming Hao as a command of the Jade Emperor and Celestial Realms. The overseer of the Realms believed the son would carry too much of an imbalance of Yang from the father, which could potentially cause future problems for the heavens and eventually the mortal world they presided over. Unhappy about the decision, but unable and unwilling to go against Yudi, sent Jun off with a necklace made of jade and gold that held her seal of protection on one side and the seal of her phoenix steed on the other. Jun has no idea what the necklace does, but he wears it anyway, unable to take it off his person.
Displeased with this turn of events, Ming Hao discovered the crying baby held too many emotions for him to comprehend, much less deal with. So in an attempt to control them, Ming Hao cursed his son with an emotional block that would seal away most of his emotions rendering him incapable of feeling things like love, hate, passion and fear. One could only win a war with logic. One unfortunate side effect of this seal was that it created an environment for the one emotion left behind to flourish without balance. With this, Jun suffered from pure obsession. Seeking it out in others and eventually learning to control them through that as well. As he grew, his lack of emotion and imbalance in obsession made the Jade Emperor and Xuannu believe the right decision had been made to keep him from the Celestial Realms and away from the tutelage of the immortals.
Without the ability to feel love or most other emotions, Jun lived his life pleasantly, jumping from multiple obsession to another, constantly looking for satisfaction but never quite reaching it. Some would say it was madness, but Jun never felt deficient. His father, pleased with the control he had over his son, trained him in magical and martial ways inherited from his mother’s lineage, in an attempt to create a powerful enough weapon to disrupt the heavens. It was a long game that Ming Hao was willing to play with Jun none the wiser. While he is in town, trying to find Kalena, he finds Eleni. Who, fortunately for him, fills him with excitement of a new obsession. Will he continue to look for Kalena, or will his overwhelming desire to play with Eleni outweigh his father’s wrath?
Jun’s earlier years were spent jumping from one mother-like figure to another as his father held multiple mistresses. Despite this, Jun felt no sadness or lack thereof, even when his own mother took to calling him her Shiwang – her Little Disappointment. The only things that guided Jun were obsessions, sex and physical pain. But fate would have other plans for Jun.
To maintain his power over Jun’s emotions, Ming Hao had to reamplify the seal every ten years. When he was younger, Jun stayed by his father’s side, but as he got older and his obsessions became stronger, he would foray out into the world either for himself or on a task for his father. The only way to entice Jun back to his side was the promise of a new obsession, and in lieu of that not working, physical pain as punishment. It’s not so much that Jun fears physical punishment, since fear is an emotion locked away, he just doesn’t enjoy feeling that pain either.
One day his father hears rumors that a Polish goddess has found access to an object that enables her to gain more power, which reignites the starved desire in Ming Hao’s dark heart. So with more research on the rumors, Ming Hao discovers that it’s not an object the goddess is using, but her Phoenix-like, undying child, who she has the villagers sacrifice every solstice. The goddess feeds off the belief of the people from a small, backwater village lost to time, and seems to hold no regret for her treatment of her own daughter. Ming Hao with a similar machination to gain more power, sends Jun to intercept the runaway daughter and bring her to him. Jun is to disguise himself, act as the man at the drop off point and return with the object of his father’s desire. Despite how close to the 12th resealing event of Jun’s emotions it is, Ming Hao’s desire to get his hands on the woman outweighed his fear of losing control of his son. If he lost Jun, at least he would have the power source from the demi-goddess.
Jun does as his father bids and makes his way to NOLA where he uses his powers of invisibility and shape-changing to pretend to be Dante, the man Garrett fully entrusts with Kalena. Unknowingly, Garret, who is Kalena’s savior, drops her off with the man he trusts the most, not realizing it's actually Jun. As Garrett runs off, Jun takes Kalena away, and watches over her while she sleeps off whatever tranquilizer Garrett has given her. As he watches the Sleeping Beauty, his curiosity and obsession are piqued. Thinking to himself, he wonders why he should take her back to his father so quickly, when he can play with the new toy first. What his father doesn’t know wouldn’t hurt him. And now he has a new pet. Eventually, Kalena does find a way to escape Jun, and realizing he can’t return empty handed, stays behind in NOLA to recapture his father’s prey using his Red Ball of Fate Yarn to do so.
~~
Personality wise, Jun is calm, cold and calculating much like his father. Whereas his father is obsessed with regaining power, Jun enjoys a great variety of obsessions with either people or things, but lacking a desire for power himself. The closest thing he can get to excitement is finding ways to manipulate others in an attempt to understand their reactions behind their emotions. Not ever fully understanding, he continues to jump from one victim to another, one obsession to another, seeking fulfillment, but never quite reaching it. Remorse, regret and emotional pain are not things he understands, so he unknowingly leaves a wake of devastation behind.
Unfortunately, when Jun does not return home, and the seal is not reapplied, emotions he has never felt before begin to slip out in the form of a slow leak. Small emotions begin to frustrate him, but as time proceeds, bigger feelings come to the fore. At this point in time, he continues to act on his obsessions without constraint, but when the day the seal completely dissipates, a tsunami of emotions come crashing into existence, threatening to wipe out his sanity for good.
