Aurora was born to a mother that worked any odd job. Her biological father is unknown but it is thought, due to the reticent of her mother to document the father's name, that the father may have been married to another woman. As such, Aurora and her mother were not afforded larger living facilities upon her birth. Like most of the lower ranked individuals they shared one room for the majority of her life.
Despite her less that fortunate circumstances, Aurora was not mistreated by her mother to any noticeable level. She did well in school for the primary years of education. In fact, she seemed to be on the path to being recruited either by the pharmaceutical sector or the hydroponics department. That is until her mother got into an accident. Her mother retained what appeared to be a slight injury to her back and was thought to make a full recovery with time. Unfortunately it turned out that the injury lasted long enough to impact her ability to provide for herself and her daughter.
Aurora learned quickly the underbelly of the market in order to help make ends meet with their limited resources. She began to help smuggle and move things until she gained quite the reputation for herself in the darker circles. As she reached her teenage years, Aurora turned her knowledge and connections to fabricating and smuggling drugs through the different divisions of her station. She was turned in a couple months after her seventeenth birthday.
She was swiftly moved from her shared quarters and placed into the juvenile detention area. She has spent the six months there. When prompted she agreed to continue taking classes in live skills - including the newly mandatory Earth Skills in preparation for the future.
