Looking around, Hybris saw that her eternal island was much larger than his own, at least twice as big! With a small hum of satisfaction, he let go of her hand and pulling from his space, he placed a green crystal in her fingers.

"It's not nothing, it's just waiting." Curling an arm around her waist, Hybris led her forward, toward the center of the island. "It's a blank canvas of a place. It's not..." he sighed, giving her an apologetic little glance. "It really isn't a world, thousands of years old that's already become what it's meant to be. It's waiting to become what you want it to be. Here and now." Wish a small, almost dance-like step he slowly spun her to look over the pale, empty land. "You were once an reflection of Lenka, the world. And now this world, is an extension of Lenka, the person."

Leaning close, he said, voice playful with a hint of boyish glee, "When you're ready, break the crystal. See what happens."

"Mine is under construction," Hybris whined, "I still have so much furniture I want to move in. It needs to be comfortable and beautiful for guests." But Lenka was pretty strong...maybe she wouldn't mind being dragged into helping him.

It was very satisfying to watch her take that literal step to interact with and test out her realm. Settling into the soft, lush grass, he pulled out several more crystals, each of a different color. "Have you noticed these once in awhile? They're little gifts from the mirror." Little gifts he was handing over, the abacus in his heart going click-click-click as he said goodbye to each one.

The red emitted ethereal flame and was warm to the touch while pale blue was cool and moist. The white crystal floated where he let it go and grey was gritty with an unexpected heft to it. The last one was yellow, the faintest of sparks periodically zipping at its edge.

"They can fill the landscape in special ways, but you'll probably want to bring things in from the outside. Unlike the rest of mirror space, the things you bring here will stay. So it's really almost like getting you're own huge, rent free apartment on the side. With its own park!"

Fully relinquishing the crystals to her, he laid down fully on the grass, wriggling into its cushiness and unmindful of whatever stains it may leave. "I think its fun. To shape a little world like a small god, just enough power and no headache inducing responsibilities attached."

"Oh well...if you insist," Hybris intoned mildly as he took the crystals back and unable to hide the childish glint of greed in his eyes. They disappeared back into his space within a moment, but in turn he was shoving another one at her, this one with a more prismatic appearance. "But you have to take this one. It's the one I've found that only shows up on my island. Which means it's my special thing, and you have to have one of my special things on your island, right?"

Overall he was pretty satisfied that Lenka had brought herself to do this much in one go. And he was especially heartened to hear her mention exploring more in Mirrorspace. "We should get a little tent for your grass, a fancy, comfy tent. For mine too, a whole magical glamping set up. Let's go shopping, my treat."

Anyway, shopping was shopping, and she deserved a reward for crossing a literal threshold this time.

Taking her hand, Hybris swung it a little, "Well okay, but you'll have to make them. Mine always fall into the fire." He gave her a pathetic look as they walked back toward the circular mirror on the ground.

For a moment, he wondered if she should offer to approach her mom in her stead. A friendly and casual little check up. But then the idea of bad news set in, and he felt that probably no news would be preferable. Her mom could remain and immortal inside lady, forever, as long as she never knew otherwise, right?

"And sleeping bags....fat, cushy ones. We can tell scary stories all night and not be able to fall asleep at all." Not that it really had a night, or day for that matter. But Hybris was sure that, like with much of Mirrorspace, if their will was firm and their vibes were true, something would help them along to shape this world to their will.
