With lots of daydreaming comes lots of creative energy, so it’s not uncommon to see him painting somewhere.
xxxxx⇾Cʜʀᴏɴɪᴄᴀʟʟʏ Uɴʟᴜᴄᴋʏ For some people, luck is a roll of the dice. For Sebastian, those dice are weighted to the low rolls. Things just seem to go haywire whenever he’s around. Luckily (haha) because of this, Seb has picked up some random skills to try and counterbalance the luck.
xxxxx⇾Oᴘᴛɪᴍɪsᴛɪᴄ You’d think that being eternally unlucky would make one rather dour, but Seb always finds the silver lining. Fell and scraped his knee? Time for cool bandages. Lost his book? He wanted to read a different genre anyway. Even in the worst of luck, Seb finds the good and rolls with it.
xxxxx⇾Tʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛғᴜʟ Sebastian cares so deeply about people. And thanks to his seemingly endless misfortune, he’s gotten very good at seeing when people need a hand in life. He’ll be the first to make a fool of himself if it makes someone laugh on a bad day. He also loves leaving little gifts or snacks where people can find them, if only to make them smile for a moment.
xxxxx⇾Lᴏʏᴀʟ While Seb hasn’t exactly had the best luck making friends (a chaotic childhood will do that), he’s fiercely loyal to those he loves. It takes a lot to sway him from his loyalty, and he will often go far out of his way for friends. After all, what’s a friend for if not to be ride-or-die?

xxx𝒞𝒽𝒾𝓁𝒹𝒽𝑜𝑜𝒹xxx Sebastian was born to the very young Kinzlie Moon. She got knocked up on accident, and her super religious family forced her to keep the baby. The first couple years, she had to do everything religiously required for her baby boy. As soon as she turned 18, her family kicked her out (as is fitting, since she sinned?) Kinzlie found a cheap little apartment and moved in, using Sebastian as reason to please be granted the apartment. Pretty much immediately, Kinzlie was forced to work two jobs, and naturally, her parents refused to watch Sebastian during the days. Seb was often left with various babysitters, neighbors, or on some days, just home alone. As he grew up, Sebastian had to become independent pretty quickly. Even when he was still super young, he figured out how to eat foods that didn’t require cooking, get things off counters, and try to care for himself. His mom was often exhausted after her work, which usually kept her out all night long. Watching a lot of kids shows (and sometimes less than child-friendly shows), Seb learned little ways to take care of himself better. Sure, his mom couldn’t afford the best, but she always did her best to keep him healthy.
Lots of times they went with empty tummies, but any time they had food, Kinzlie always made sure Sebby had something in his belly. When he was finally old enough, he started going to school, taking advantage of both breakfast and lunch. It also allowed his mom to shift her work schedule a bit, getting a few hours in the evening together. In their free time, they often watched movies and snuggled on their couch. Sometimes, they’d play child-friendly board games, even if they didn’t always have all the pieces. Every night, before she left for work, Kinzlie would always give him a hug, reminding her baby boy he was loved with all her heart. And every night, Sebby would give her the biggest hug his little arms could muster, reminding her that she was the best mama he could ever wish for. Starting at 8, Sebby asked his mom if he could dye his hair like her, and any time Kinzlie would get dye, she’d save a small amount to dye Sebastian’s hair to match. It took a few years, but he learned how to do it himself too.
One day, when he was ten, Seb saw some older kids being mean to a little kitten, calling it unlucky and generally being mean. With tears in his eyes, Seb charged in, hugging the kitten protectively and taking the older kids’ anger himself. He’d always been an unlucky kid, so maybe having an unlucky pet would be good for him. Kinzlie nearly cried when she saw the kitten, as well as her little beat up son. He promised he’d figure out something for the kitten to eat, and she reluctantly agreed. Shortly before his eleventh birthday, Zoot the kitten got out, before coming back home with bad injuries. Kinzlie took the poor animal to the vet, where he lost his front leg. Kinzlie did her best to console Seb, who was a crying mess. The vet, seeing how much the boy loved the little kitty, gave him back to the little family, along with a big bag of cat food and a little purple collar.
On Sebastian’s eleventh birthday, a strange woman kept knocking at the door, but Seb didn’t answer, since that was mama’s big rule. Finally, Kinzlie got home, and let the woman in, who said Sebby was magical. He’d be able to go to a boarding school for the next seven years. And though he knew he’d miss his mom with all his heart, he also knew it might give her enough of a break to not have to pay for him for a while. He went with the woman to a magical place, getting all kinds of neat things for school. It would be a big, huge change, but he also couldn’t help the little bubble of excitement brewing in his heart.
xxx𝒮𝒸𝒽𝑜𝑜𝓁 𝒴𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓈xxx After Miss Nora dropped Seb and Declan off on the platform, the two boys were quickly off. They sat together, spending time just getting to know one another. It was there that they decided they'd be best friends forever. And that didn't change, even when they were sorted into different houses - Seb into Gryffindor and Dec into Ravenclaw. While Seb made other friends, he always made sure to have time for his shy buddy.
That same year, Seb was pulled aside by one of his teachers, who worked with him and the nurse, Miss Marni, to diagnose him as dyslexic with dysgraphia. Two super fun issues that made schoolwork a billion times harder. But thankfully, the teachers were willing to work with him... and so was Declan! Heck, the blond kept reading all their homework and helping Seb with studies. It was so helpful!
Over summer, it sucked that Seb and Dec couldn't hang out, but Seb did make his best to hang out with all his friends. Mama helped keep in touch over letters and everything too, which was nice. There was even a special day where Miss Nora brought Dec over to do shopping so they could spend the whole day together! A month later and they were back at school. Seb tried again for Quidditch, but this time he actually made the starting team! He did his best, but his best was apparently super terrible, and Gryffindor had managed to fully lose the season... which made him feel super guilty. But at least he'd tried?
Fourth year... hoo boy. It started out pretty awesome! At Quidditch tryouts, he'd been worried that Nare would ask him to just go away... but she didn't! She even said she was certain they'd win, so long as he kept his chin up. Seb was there when Declan realized he wasn't actually a he. And he got to help her plan a big party for all their friends! It was so fun! Everyone came and most brought fancy snacks... even though Declan said they weren't required. But what was a party without gifts? Declan also got offered to run the cooking club the year after, which was neato.
Though, as with all good things, there must be bad to balance. Over spring break, Seb had been walking around before finding himself super lost in the forest. With rain pouring down, he tripped in a tree root and fell down a short drop since the ground was soft and mushy. He broke his fall with his face (ouch!) and tried to get up before realizing the tree root had caused his leg to twist and break at his knee. Now, that would have been a bad enough Friday, but his luck simply couldn't allow that. Through broken glasses, Seb had to watch a huge monster attack him! He woke up who-knew-how-long later in the hospital with Mama and Miss Nora there with him.... and he found out he got bitten by a werewolf. While he was still really sick, he got moved back to school because apparently his friends were up in arms about seeing him. It took about 5 minutes with Declan before she found out what happened and got asked to keep it quiet from the rest. Thankfully, she was still the coolest best friend ever.
After a long two-week recovery from pneumonia, Seb was unleashed upon the school once more. When he went to play his last quidditch game, he half-hoped his new werewolf senses would help him find the snitch better, but all they did was make everything a zillion times louder. Even after pep talks from both Nare and Lewis, AND after Lewis got hit like a million times, Seb still lost, bringing a second straight season of failure. He was pretty sure he was the worst ever. All he wanted to do was make his friends happy! But they all gave him hugs and promised they'd help him get better... so maybe?
Over the summer, Seb got to go to an angry-room with Nare, then out for ice cream! And Lewis got all the Seekers together to practice with some real professional Seekers. Then they got to watch a huge pro game too! And Declan officially changed her name to Alice, which Seb figured suited her quite well. All in all, it was a pretty fun summer.
Fourth year went similarly to third, with Seb managing to bodge up all the games in a mess. It made him really, really consider quitting. He just felt terrible that he managed to make his team sit in the bottom all over again. Thankfully, Seb had oodles of friends that helped him feel better. He'd even confessed he was a werewolf to a few of them, with Vik feeling the need to share his own confession of love. Oh boy!
Fifth year started off absolutely crazy. First off, he'd gotten a Prefect's Badge!? That was expected for Alice, but him??? Either way, he did work hard to live up to the title, not wanting to disappoint the professors. He'd thought quidditch was going to be another awful year, but he managed to win!! He beat Charlotte and Gryffindor threw the biggest house party he was sure had ever been in the castle. Following that, he was able to help Alice with her studies (while attempting his own) and work with Ella on writing a song for the big Talent Showcase. He'd baked a bunch of sweets to bring, then with Ella on piano, he sang a song they'd written just for Alice.
As summer started, Seb helped Alice (along with Lyric and Luna) stand up to her crummy parents. She got a nice room at her aunt and uncle's house, which was pretty awesome. He also made friends with the daughter of a new shopkeep on Diagon, which was pretty awesome.
Sixth Year mostly passed in a hurry. It was super busy, between clubs, classes, and trying to find time for friends. Alice and Ella had signed up for Animagus studies, both saying they wanted to make things safer for him. At Daily Dragon, Bieito gifted him a Quick-Quotes Quill, which would allow him to join the writing team too. It really made him feel super included.
There was a school dance, which Seb did his best to help with. Alice's cousin - Genie - offered to make their outfits, and he was worried that it would be uncomfortable, but Genie promised she'd make it comfy. He also managed to beat Csuri at Quidditch, which - according to Vikram - made her very angry. Whoops.
But the dance went off without a hitch, spending a super romantic evening with Alice, and having a few dances with his friends. He then went on to win the last game as well, bringing Gryffindor to second place again. Sure, it wasn't a cup win, but he was pretty happy his best friend got to help hoist the cup. All things in all, it was a fantastic year.
