The History of NSFWrestling
The earliest history of the Northern States Wrestling Federation can be traced back to 1938, when founder Lawrence J Newcaster
went from being a successful boxing promoter for 18 years to a wrestling promoter after watching how popular it became in traveling carnivals.
On January 7, 1938, the first show was produced: "Gateway Wrestling" was produced by Lawrence and unnamed investors after buying a circus promotion.
The show aired on local radio and had commentators read scripts written by Lawrence.
Those who visited his traveling circus shows got to see the action live (but not during the 'radio broadcast'
In 1945, the Gateway Wrestling show was discontinued from the radio airwaves due to the popularity of the television

Finding great success with the Freakshow, clowns, strongmen, and of course the wrestlers.
Lawrence would create the 'Across the Globe Wrestling' show to incorporate acts from his circus, to focus more on the many personalities and talents.
in 1948, the first episode of Across the Globe Wrestling (AtG Wrestling) aired
Forming a committee of promoters, Lawrence would take acts from different circuses, particularly the wrestlers,
and form a federation strictly for them called the National Wrestling Corporation in 1949.
In 1951, it is said that Lawrence partnered with Timeless LLC.
To form Behemoth Sports, named in part for the Elephants of the circus, as well as the larger-than-life athletes and the 'Earth Shattering' style of wrestling his performers had.

in 1969, Lawrence passed away but not before selling the rights to his circus and shows to his son, Geoffrey.
In 1970, Across the Globe Wrestling aired its final episode
In 1972 Geoffrey formed the "Northern States Federation Wrestling (NSFWrestling), and its first show aired using talent from AtG Wrestling
In 1987, Geoffrey Newcaster passed away
In 1990, Northern States Federation Wrestling aired its final syndicated episode
From 1991 - 1997, the estate of Geoffrey Newcaster was passed around and stuck in a legal battle.
Clepsydra LLC acquired Timeless LLC., Behemoth Sports and the National Wrestling Corporation.
As they were the primary investor of Behemoth Sports, however, Northern States Wrestling Federation was not included in the deal.
In 1997, NSFWrestling and its assets were acquired by David Alabastor owner of the Elite Wrestling Federation.
In 2003, Elite Wrestling Federation was acquired by Chrono Clepsydra, (for storyline purposes it was Jess J McBaduman) and rebranded as Evolution Wrestling Association.
EWA still used the EWF and subsequent side promotion 'Mayhem Wrestling' until 2005 and 2008 respectively until EWA brand was fully used.
in 2018, EWA created Global Gateway Wrestling (GGW) as an international territory to train new talents, as the
the spiritual sequel to FWD (Future Wrestling Dynasty) their previous developmental system created in 2010.
It is said Chrono Clepsydra named it Global Gateway Wrestling as an homage to 'Across the Globe Wrestling' and 'Gateway Wrestling'
In 2020 during a worldwide pandemic, the EWA arena and FWD school were relocated to a new building dubbed the 'Global Gateway Arena'
as a homage to GGW, and a place to keep talent safe.
All shows under the 'EWA Discordia' banner were filmed and operated from the arena.
In 2020 when FWD International (A developmental territory for EWA) was formed,
the FWD Heritage Championship was created as the top championship
As an homage to NSFWrestling's Heritage Championship.
in 2021 As EWA acquired more territories, as well as expanded through its own network, footage of NSFWrestling was found in 2021
and was included on the EWA Network
