Kellan took a moment to survey the room, and the occupants therein. The hunter was one for having an eye for detail, so having an idea of potential coworkers, or competition for employment, was key. He presented himself as a possible candidate, seemingly throwing off another person that had offered their services.
Their potential employer introduced herself as Astra, to which the hunter nodded, “Kellan, pleasure to make both of your acquaintances. I heard about the opportunity in a neighboring village, arrived just this morning. What exactly are we looking to accomplish?” he inquired, he hadn’t been given much, just that a shop needed some assistance in Westgate and to meet at the Leaky Grape. Not having much to lose, or really gain at this point, he moved quickly to see what was available.
Soon a gentleman arrived, a sort of courier, as he delivered missives to himself and several others. Opening the document, he read the summons, “Who exactly is this Lord… Lucivar? Am I pronouncing that right?” he asked, “And no, I have no idea who this was. Quite frankly, I’m not from around here. I hope this noble is not expecting much in the way of fine attire. I’m quite literally carrying all that I have.” He took note that the woman beside him was in some way, terrified at the summons. Granted, a stranger giving letters out to seemingly random individuals was somewhat…. Interesting. But he feared that this woman was perhaps not wanting the attention.
“Well, we have the morning, and the afternoon until this party. Let’s get to know each other, figure out why we’d be summoned by this Lord…” Kellan stated, “Especially since it seems like none of us wished to draw attention to ourselves.”
