Welcome to The Grove. Here we are those who live among the forest and her children, caring for the animals left motherless by hunters' carelessness, replanting trees to ensure the forests remain as the lush beauty that Faes see throughout their lives. The Faelani are pacifists by nature, and avoid confrontation at all costs, relying on their animal companions to help protect them.

As a species, they reflect the agility of both the deer and the lithe movements of the mountain cat. Each Faelani child is gifted with a bear cub to learn and grow with. On occasion, there are other animals that can be gifted, but this depends on the child and their affinity. (Customs and breedings have the bear cub gifted)

Faelani prefer to breed with kats who share their views over those that are prone to violence and fighting. Good, neutral, or ebil, their primary concern is if the kat in question is abusive, or violent.

Most of the time the Faelani spend their time in nature, helping the flora and fauna of the forest as the caretakers of the land. The majority of Faelani are Vegan, they do not harm any animal, and do not use items produced from animals. The Faelani live in herds, and each herd has a priestess who runs the day-to-day herd business. There is a single herd for those who are wayward, evil, or prone to the feline part of their ancestry over the deer.

The herds are as follows:
Morning Glory - Herd of the Queen - Antheia's Grove
Lily - Nurturers of the Young
Rose - Matchmakers for Fauna
Daffodil - Thoughtful Harvesters
Lilac - Prayer Maidens
Buttercup - Joyous Revelers of Summer
Tulip - Caretakers of the Old and Infirm
Hyacinth - Whisperers of the Forest
Orchid - Careful Planners
Nightshade - Scavengers and Carnivores

Each herd's priestess is assigned by either the Queen or the Faelani Goddess if the Queen is busy elsewhere. The Faelani assigned to the Queen's herd, are referred to as Maidens, they are the eyes and ears of the Queen when she is curious about her other herds.

Racial and Breeding info/rules:

1. They are pacifists by nature
   
2. They are caregivers of the Flora and Fauna
   
3. They prefer forests over other lands
   
4. Most are Vegan and can be part of any herd(This means no animal products at all)
   
5. Non-Vegan Faelani are part of the Nightshade herd
   
6. They will do no undue harm, and steer clear of those who succumb to mindless violence.
   
7. When mating or flinging please keep in mind that alignment does not matter. Violent or abusive tendencies will matter more for the species.
   
8. They can ask for any demi blessings. Please keep in mind that Demi's that gift Ebil alignments can be used by Good Faelani, and those that gift things like vampirism can be used by Ebil Faelani.
   
9. Faelani can be any good elite race. For racial reasons, ebil elites are rare, but not unheard of.

1. I and any other colorists here reserve the right to refuse service to anyone if given reason to.
   
2. Please feel free to DM questions about Faelani to me directly, quote me in the thread, or reach out on discord, and shop-related questions should be directed to the shop staff!
   
3. Be sure to save all pet certs and uncerts to your own servers, direct links will cause the breaking.
   
4. Please don't take images that aren't yours, without permission
   
5. You may at current enter as many flat sales and customs as you wish to.

We are the poison of the forest, we are the echoes that send chills up your spine, we are those not chosen by the divine.

Nightshade Herd Leader:
Felina Atropa and Belladona

Within the nightshade herd, we expect one to follow the rules of our queen. For us as a herd, we have allowances because our wise queen understands that while most of our species is vegan, we are the few who cannot function that way.

We are those who nearly died because we lacked the nutrition our mountain cat ancestors thrived on.

Proteins not found in our cultural way of life were needed to help us survive.

Some of us choose to drink milk of our animal brethren. Respectful, never taking from the young.

Some choose to eat a few eggs of our animal friends to help with the population, as well as keep ourselves fit.

Some will do both, to sustain ourselves.

Some of us, are carnivores through and through. Not because we desired to break our culture's rules, but because we would die without them.

As our rules dictate, we are to use every piece of animal we claim for rights of food. Their bodies are a gift of sacrifice to us. Allowing us to continue our deeds of good will and caring for the land and all it's creatures.

We shall not feast upon newly born and defenseless, they are the next generation.

We shall not feast upon the weary mothers of the young.

We shall not feast upon the strong of the forest they are our protectors.

If a newly born, a weary mother, or a strong of the forest are to pass away from an injury, sickness, or other ordeals, we may give them their last rights and then claim their body for our herd.

We do no undue harm.
