I saw some clips online, I thought Alucard looked cool so I watched it. For favourite character, I don't think I can choose between Alucard and Seras, so I will pick both.
The opening was great too.

I got to go for Alucard. I found out about because my cousin told me about it and watched it. I agree great openings.. I wonder since some anime are getting reboots... I wonder if Hellsing be next. xD

That would be nice. Maybe it would follow the entire manga instead of ending early.

Never saw the original series but I saw the ultimate version of it & loved it. Will have to watch through it again someday when I get time.

They both have the same VA for english yes.
as for if it would get a rework I doubt it since ultimate was the actually the OVA which followed the manga the original which is first being talked about here did not.
